The referral was written in 2019 when I wanted to get braces but I chickened out. Unfortunately, cavities started developing on all the wisdom teeth over the last two years to the point where I noticed my breath did not feel clean even after brushing, flossing and mouth rinse. I decided to come in for a consult to get my questions answered. Dr. Jiries Mogannam provided my consult. He answered all my questions and gave me my options. He explained to me that the wisdom tooth can give me more issues down the line even if I can patch up all the cavities now. His main concern was the oral hygiene of my mouth and to protect the nearby molars from decay that could be spread from the wisdom teeth. He was not pushy, I left informed and empowered to take the next step. Plus, I still wanted braces so it makes sense to get the surgery. The surgery was quick and painless because I was out! I was filled with anxieties the day before and even while sitting in the chair but I knew it needed to be done. I was in and out in a hour. The recovery was painful and that was expected. I followed all the instructions given in terms of oral care and food choices. I survived to tell the tale and I am the biggest chicken out of everybody I know so if I can do this oral surgery so can you! Thank you Dr. Mogannam, the assisting staff members and the front desk! Water has come out my nose whenever I rinse my mouth or drink liquids since then. Nobody found a reason, even after a couple CAT scans. My neighbor recommended Dr. Mogannam. He suggested removing the implants. A photo from a scan showed where an implant had pierced my sinus. When he removed the implants it was quite evident. He cleaned and stitched the opening closed and rebuilt bone. I am so excited. Everyone was so caring, and helpful. Dr. Mogannam listened, was very professional, gentle, caring, and patient with all my questions and concerns. I highly recommend him.

Should you select Santa Rosa Oral Surgery for a procedure you'll find easy access and ample (usually door front) parking. Reception is very efficient and pleasant to deal with. Reception room is pleasant as well but you won't be there long. All my visits have found SROS to be very timely. First visit is meeting your doctor for a concise analysis of what procedure you need, informing you of just what that procedure entails, while ending with staff lining up any insurance you may have and giving you your next appointment. During the actual procedure I had forgotten how many assistants are used and was momentarily afraid that they were there to hold me down! Hah! Hardly. Extremely efficient, each person has their duties and the process is the proverbial well oiled machine with Dr Tyco explaining each step along the way. As quick and painless a dental procedure as I've ever had. A prescription for pain meds was provided but unnecessary. All I felt was a bit of sensitivity for a couple days. Just as my first visit. After the healing process it was one last visit to confirm a successful graft and I was done! Dr Tyco and his staff are the kind of professionals you want...and deserve! I live in Eureka, CA. The one and only oral surgeon in Eureka could not get me in for 2 months. There is no way I could wait. My regular dentist recommended the office of Dr. Steven R Boettger and Dr. William K Tom in Ukiah CA. Ukiah is a bit of a drive from Eureka but I could get an appointment is less than a week instead if waiting for 2 months. Dr. Tom is so wonderful! His staff is most excellent too. Dr. Tom, my regular dentist, and my thoracic surgeon and the only 3 medical people ever who engendered trust in me and put me at ease immediately like they do. I don't know how they manage that but it is a rare skill. I especially liked the way Dr. Tom explained everything thoroughly and made sure that all my questions were answered. He did not talk down to me as some dentists and doctors tend to do. Instead, he talked to me as an intelligent person. Dr. Tom did an excellent job on the extraction. I seem to be healing well although the work was only yesterday. I am so pleased with Dr. Tom that I will go back to him if i decide to have dental implants. Driving from Eureka to Ukiah is well worth the drive and the extra expenses of travel for the A+++ oral surgery and outstanding staff. During the appointment, though, he was unkind and unprofessional. We spent only a few minutes together, and he seemed angry throughout. I pointed out that he was yelling at me, but he didn't change his manner. I asked a few questions and he barked his response at me each time. The door was open and my husband was able to hear much of the exchange and his impression was that Dr. Tom seemed impatient and unsympathetic. Dr. Tom went as far as to say that he only cared about whether my husband made his doctor's appointment in Santa Rosa, (which we'd scheduled around) and didn't care about me. I had a terrible experience as a child preventing me from seeking proper dental care. When I finally got the nerve to call, I was able to ask questions surrounding my anxiety and immediately felt at ease. I was able to get in for an emergency appointment the following week and scheduled a 3 hour appointment for 4 weeks later to clean my teeth and fix my broken tooth.
