Super friendly AND knowledgeable!!! I had a tooth cap fall off while traveling through Cloverdale. My friend Mitch of Two Lions music recommended me to this dentist and I'm very glad he did. This dentist was able to fix my tooth the same day and I didn't have to play any of my gigs missing a front tooth ‍ In my experience, dentists can be pretty rude for a guy like me with less than perfect teeth. Wow! Having left a good review for this dentist, which, by the way was immediately solicited by his office immediately after my appointment, I get a nasty letter from him saying he will no longer treat me!!! I am astonished! There was nothing negative in our interaction and I was totally satisfied with his work, except that I did think he was expensive, with over three hundred dollars for one fast filling. I now understand from the comments in his letter that he has ascertained that at aged 79 I am not a good prospect for big bucks rolling into his office!! He says he doesn't like "emergency dentistry" and my chipped tooth was not lucrative enough for him. BOTTOM LINE? Until now - I've never had a dentist take so much personal interest in my care. Dr Le shows me exactly what she's seeing in my mouth and explains my options. She's practical and really listens. I decided to get my teeth straightened so that they would to be easier to clean and keep healthy. (it just took 4 months and was painless) Not only do I feel more confident about smiling, but she was able to then put fillings on the back side of a few teeth that were going to chip in the near future. My teeth feel straight and strong. And Dr Lee - explained everything so clearly throughout the process. Then to top it off... Being a full time working mom of 4 I always put myself last, unintentionally of course. With Covid shutting down all services everywhere I figured trying to make an appointment anywhere would be impossible. When I found myself in a dental emergency I could no longer put off Dr. Savko was able to get me in before all his patients first thing in the morning. This was after calling multiple dentists in the area at 10pm. Not only did I feel grateful, but embarrassed because I called last minute searching for mercy, I went in the next morning and he was so understanding, welcoming and willing to help however he could. He endlessly apologized for the shortages of appointments plaguing the dentistry sector right now, which is of course understandable but he pulled some strings in getting me into seeing an oral surgeon that morning. I'm always worried about the judgment and upsell but there was none of that here. He directed me specifically in what I knew I needed to have done. His office followed up with me a couple days later to see how I was doing and for a follow up appointment once I felt up to it. Highly recommend if you are looking for an honest, kind dentist that cares about his clients including new clients as I became one after he was able to take me in that morning because I wasn't one before that. read more

I'm fairly new to Cloverdale and Dr.Savko came highly recommended. I got the paperwork for new patients and went In to drop off and was greeted by a middle age women at the front desk. From the moment I approached the counter the beat down started. I honestly have never been treated so rudley. I'm a easy going person and honestly pretty thick skinned as well. I worked with the public many year and even ran my own business. She could of been having a bad day but if so it shouldn't of been put on me. I politely ask for paperwork and left with out saying anything in retaliation. Now I'm looking for a new dentist! read more

I'm updating my original review because I absolutely love coming to this dentist (I mean, as much as you can love coming to the dentist). I've just come in to my second cleaning. Dr. Savko was the one to do the cleaning just like last time. I love that both Dr. Savko and Dr. Le do the cleaning! I've never experienced dentists who do, and I didn't realize how much I'd appreciate it. Dr. Savko checks in throughout the cleaning and makes great conversation. He's kind, explains everything, and tells great stories. He makes sure you're comfortable the whole time. He likes to talk and so do I, so it's a great match. He also expressed how enjoyable it was to have someone to actually add to the conversation too, so don't be afraid to talk when his hands aren't in your mouth. It makes it more pleasant for the both of us. Additionally, I have a boyfriend who (not unlike most boyfriends/husbands I've been told) is not the most responsible when it comes to these sort of appointments. I actually called them and asked them to call him because I knew he would never remember to call. And they did! It was awesome! And he absolutely loves Dr. Le too! He raves about her every time he visits. The receptionist and hygienists are really friendly and personable as well, so you're really getting the whole package here. They have a practice in Santa Rosa as well, so you can pick which office is most convenient for you. Original: I recently moved to the area and so I had to switch from my beloved dentist to one here. I procrastinated because I was nervous to switch, but I shouldn't have been. Dr. Savko was very gracious and welcoming. He seemed confident, yet humble. Since it was my first time, I had to get all the preliminary exams done. I really just wanted to get a cleaning. They told me that I might have to make a separate appointment for that because I had to get all the new patient stuff over with. But they managed to get the cleaning in by having the dentist himself do it, even though that's not the norm. It was clear that he likes to get to know his patients, as he mentioned that it was actually a good thing that he did the cleaning so he could get to know me. He was really great about setting up expectations and letting me know what was going on every step of the way. He seemed to treat his staff like a family, and it seemed like a great atmosphere. As I left, he actually said, "Welcome to the family." That was comforting, as it was one of my fears leaving my previous dentist; it was family-like there too. One thing that I didn't love was when he flossed, he didn't make sure to go down both sides of the tooth. I don't know if he was in a rush at the end, or if that's just how he does it. But in my experience, dentists insist on flossing down both sides of the tooth. He did this for my second cleaning as well. Dr. Savko performed a great procedure replacing an old silver filling and repairing a cracked molar. He is a nice, friendly dentist, who is clearly an expert at his craft. I have made an appointment to repair/replace the other one! Highly recommend. read more
