We first met with them and scheduled our job and then had to postpone it for a couple of years after giving them a deposit. Bob returned our deposit even though he didn't have to. When we were once again ready, we didn't hesitate to give them our business. We are extremely happy with the quality of the work and the speed of it. Our bathroom was gutted on May 29 and completed on July 2, 2019. The only thing still to come is the custom shower enclosure. Chris coordinated all the moving parts and was here every day to work and to oversee anything that he didn't do himself (which was not much). He even went the extra mile and tested (and cleaned out!) our drains after installing the sink. This issue had nothing to do with the work he did; it was an existing problem. NJ Remodelers was recommended to us by a friend, and we would gladly recommend them for a kitchen or a bath remodel. We needed help with some of the unusual aspects of the design and Bob fit the bill by giving us lots of options from his years of experience. They are honest, trustworthy, and very communicative at every step of the project. Chris made sure we were satisfied with everything--a trait that I have not seen before with the many contractors I have hired over the years. Every day, Chris was a pleasure to work with due to his cheerful attitude and the fact that he really enjoys his job. He went over everything he had done and was going to do each day. He put up with all my nit-picking without complaint and delivered a beautiful bathroom in a challenging, small space. NJR is generous about passing their contractor's discount along to their customers for tile, fixtures, and anything else that they can buy at a lower price, so the cost is very reasonable and fair. They recommend suppliers who they have relationships with and know are reliable. Chris knows how to keep the project running as smoothly as possible. You won't be sorry if you choose this family business!

I even repeated the request as we also just had our master bedroom carpets professionally steam cleaned. They said their boots were clean, and I felt bad as the dad's back was obviously an issue as he used a cane and asked in advance over phone how many stairs there were. Went over a few small quick projects, they said they could do it right away and would get back to me quickly with a quote. I waited, and waited, and five days later I finally reached out to them. Nearly 10 hours later they send me a copy/paste email response that they got a job they bid on and won't be free again until September. It was early November when they came to my house. I can only imagine what kind of service they provide if there were issues with their work on the backend if this is their front end. Highly disappointed in their business etiquette, but perhaps it's a blessing in disguise. Please note that I originally posted a one star rating as I was furious and disappointed in how we were left out in the cold to now have to rush during the holidays (Thanksgiving is in two days) to find a reputable company. The reason for my updating to three stars is simply for the fact that the father had written the attached apology following receipt of my response to them echoing similar disappointment and disapproval in how they mismanaged communication on this.

My husband and I are a firm believer in "you get what you pay for", so we decided to go with the higher end cabinet quote from the owner, Tom. He stated the cabinets come with a lifetime warranty free from any defects in material or workmanship. We paid for quality cabinets and a lifetime warranty, but this business owner fell short. Instead, we received many excuses, substandard work and lack of follow-up. From the early construction of the kitchen there were many issues, the kitchen dimensions were measured incorrectly, the kitchen island was 12 inches shorter than originally agreed upon( I was told a company error), and the cabinet doors were delivered with many defects in material and craftsmanship. I had to remind the owner that we paid for cabinets rollouts and that they needed to be installed. When the rollouts arrived, the owner sent over his "unskilled" worker to install them and they were installed incorrectly. My husband had to take them all out and fix them himself. A few months later our cabinet pantry door had some warping due to poor design. The pantry is situated over a heating element which blows hot air to heat the kitchen in the winter time. This pantry was never insulated, as it should have been, and heats up all the food in the cabinet in the winter months. I have to be careful as to what kind of food is put in the cabinet. I informed Tom of this issue and he stated he designs kitchens like this all the time and it's usually not an issue. Regardless I asked the owner if he could come and look at the door and possibly replace it. He came out and agreed to order a replacement for the pantry door. After almost 6 months later, many text messages and follow-up reminder emails the cabinet door was delivered. The owner again sent over his "unskilled" worker to replace the door. His worker installed the door but incorrectly measured the placement of the handle. The handle is noticeably malaligned when compared to the adjacent door. I asked the owner to replace the door, he agreed to reorder it and admitted to the mistake. One month later the door was delivered but it was the wrong size. The owner said it was the company's error and would reorder the door. Another 4 months have passed, and we still do not have the replacement or even a response as to when it would arrive. The owner has not responded to my emails, text messages or phone calls. To date it has been over a year and we still do not have the replacement pantry door. I would not recommend Tom from T & M Kitchens. We paid for quality cabinets with a lifetime warranty from what we thought was a reputable company but we were very disappointed.

We knew we wanted Trex. At first we had George work out a 50/50 project to quote. My wife and I liked George right off of the bat. Great guy and knows his stuff. His price was right in line with the others. His knowledge and pictures of previous work, sold us. Once the deck was underway, George made some suggestions. Yes, it was more money and yes, I started to get overwhelmed with cost. That was one me, not George. His price was more than fair. So, at one point, we decided to go "all in" with Trex and lights and nice railings..... George's team was awesome. They were efficient and clean. There was never garbage strewn around our yard. The entire project took a week and the end result was WAY beyond what we originally hoped for. An added bonus was the way George built the support for the decking. Our town inspector put it best.... "The support for this deck is beyond code." When we started planning, there weren't a lot of reviews for Deck Experts which worried me. I wanted to make sure to publish a review for anyone with doubts. I would recommend George and his crew to anyone looking for a deck build or redo. I placed the request through Yelp and got a response right away. Juan scheduled the initial visit promptly and we received the proposal quickly. The bid was within the range we expected and they proposed replacing our gutters which was something we hadn't requested. The gutters were the item that tipped us to choosing this group. We were delighted with the speed with which the job was scheduled. The weather caused a slight delay but they finished quickly and left no mess behind! I liked that we were kept informed on the progress; we regularly received photos and communications especially when sections of the roof were found to be in rough shape. They come out 4x a year, notify me before and after, the gutters are clean and rarely tell me that I need a small repair. The prices for cleaning and repair are very reasonable.
