As a small business owner the Best form of appreciation is to continue to vote with our dollars...and we will only go to Woodard. Class Act Alliance is a California based company that routinely travels to Oregon. 2 years ago we had a solar power issue and the team located the issue within 10 minutes and declined compensation. The value to our business was priceless! We dropped a little cash as a tip and scooted out very Grateful. This last week we're back in OR and had similar issues,,,only one place to go,,, Woodard RV!! They were slammed and booked weeks out. However!!! In between jobs Bob and Tyler were trouble shooting the issue...found the problem and AGAIN declined compensation. This time we insisted on compensating them for their valuable knowledge, experience, and tireless efforts. We're now looking forward to getting some additions to our system. Our camper had some water damage and dry rot in the cabover section. Woodard gave me a fair price to repair it with the caveat that you never know how bad the rot is until you peel the skin off. It was real bad, worse than we imagined. Woodard worked with us all the way, as the skin was peeled off we saw all the damage and approved the extra repairs during the process. In the end it was a 30% cost over the initial estimate but they did 200% more work. They basically rebult the entire camper, replaced the roof, the siding, and all the insulation. We now have a brand new camper for a third of the price of a new one. When the job was complete and we got the camper back home there were a few nit picky items I had, when I called Tyler came over to my house and fixed everything I wanted. One of the items had nothing to do with his repairs but he fixed it anyway at no extra charge. We could not be happier with the end result. I am not an internet person and have never posted a review before but the quality of their work and their integrity during the repair process made me feel that I should let people know what a good shop this is. Tyler ordered a new circuit board for our RV because of the service code. He was able to clean it thoroughly and did not install the board or charge us for it because he said after cleaning it worked perfectly. These folks are thorough, fast and not than fair and honest. Recommend!! read more

Rock Stars! As a former Camping World service writer I have dealt with many RV technicians. I have to say the guys at Woodard RV are prompt, efficient, friendly, thorough and most importantly knowledgeable. Their service is second to none and the job they do is always top notch. I will not call many people to touch my RV as I live full time in it and cannot risk having someone damage things or not perform repairs correct. When my driver side mirror casing started spinning around while I was driving I called Bob in a fairly stressed out state. I had rented a Cruise America RV and needless to say it wasn't in great shape. Bob was friendly, helpful and kind. He not only fixed my mirror, he even checked my other mirror without me asking and gave me the tool I needed to tighten the mirror in case it loosened again on my trip. He then declined payment because it was an easy fix. I would happily work with Bob again in the future. He seemed like a nice man who genuinely cared. read more

WATCH OUT FOR THIS COMPANY!!! They repaired the back of my fridge, but destroyed the front, gouged my floor and lost pieces off the side of my coach!!! I live fulltime in my rv, when my rv refrigerator stopped working I needed it fixed immediately. I called around to a few places and couldn't get in for a few weeks, which really wasn't a good option. I finally contacted Woodard RV and they came out within a few days. I figured I got lucky, was I wrong. Kyle, Bob's son came out, he was able to diagnose the problem immediately and I thought great! I decided to replace the back cooling system instead of buying a whole new fridge, a savings of about $3000. That's when the problems started, he began to complain that they don't normally replace the cooling unit because it's too much trouble, it's easier to just buy a new refrigerator, at a cost of $5000, except I didn't have the spare $3k. He agreed to replace the cooling unit. After a week of phone calls and trying to get answers on when they could get the refrigerator they finally set a date with no set time and just showed up to get it. They seemed to have some trouble getting it out, they left a trail of coolant through my kitchen and all along the outside of my coach where they disconnected the hoses to the cooling unit and put it in their truck, Coolant is deadly to animals and I have 2 dogs, they should have at least alerted me to the mess instead of walking out and saying nothing. I also noticed they had left a deep gouge in my floor, which they promised me they would fix, and they used painters tape to hold the outside refrigerator grill in place. Again, Kyle complained that this is why they don't work on cooling units. I'm thinking to myself at this point, if you had bothered to put any type of protection down on the floor, that wouldn't have happened. When they returned with my refrigerator, they again seemed to be having a tough time, by the time they got it in, I was shocked at what I saw! The entire front was scratched and dented, it looked like someone else's fridge!! Bob's reply when I expressed my shock was "We weren't sure if it was like that when we picked it up", are you kidding me!! He also stated "This is why we don't work on cooling units" I was flabbergasted at these two. It wasn't until the next day I noticed when they had ripped the painters tape off they had pulled off the covers to the screws on the outside grate and some paint came off so it looked like absolute crap! His response over and over was "I fixed your refrigerator", he seemed to not comprehend the amount of damage he did. I knew better than to pay them, but I felt bad when he started getting upset that he needed the money to pay for the repairs. He was a small company and depended on the money to keep going, well guess I shouldn't have been so naïve. He promised me over and over he would repair the refrigerator and the floor, nothing but lies, once he had the money he didn't care, he left me with a damaged rig. He did take pictures of the damage and because I am trying to sell my rig he agreed to come and do a quick repair so it would look somewhat decent, again with no set time, they just showed up. He came by and painted the big scratches with an air paint gun and used a color that didn't match, needless to say it looked horrible. His attitude was also becoming more and more angry and aggressive as if WE were the ones inconveniencing him!! He started to complain that he had people who needed his help more and he will get to us when he can, again stating this is why they don't work on cooling units! About this time my husband and I decided to leave Oregon. We told Kyle we needed the outside of the refrigerator doors fixed, but he doesn't work weekends and after waiting 7 business days and a weekend, with another weekend coming up and no luck, we left. Days later, Bob texted me that he had someone who could put a new wrap on the doors for $350, I find that very hard to believe since I had spoken to 3 separate dealerships and 1 salvage company who all told me the same thing, they don't make that model fridge anymore, they were never able to be rewrapped, and the only way to fix them is to replace the doors, at a cost of well over $1000. Let's not forget the cost to fix my floor and replace what they lost on the outside grill, they ended up costing me a lot more than the $1235 labor fee they charged me. Not to mention, they just charged me $1235 without an itemized bill. He emailed me a receipt, but all it said was $1235 labor. Shame on him and his son, consumer beware! read more

I called Woodard and told the son i needed my water heater replaced and read off the specs for one i was ordering....he said, 'sure we can do that one.' So I ordered it. Called him when it arrived, Tyler showed up early , which i thought was a good sign. He looked at the WH and the house and decided it would have to be mounted outside so he was going to Home Depot to get the wood for the cabinet it would be in. He NEVER showed back up, no phone call....nothin. I called them next day and his dad said they decided they couldn't do it.......thanks for the phone call letting ME know. I wouldn't recommend these people if it was a delapitated camper to work on! read more

I bought a 25 year old RV w/ low miles when the market was really tight. It had been stored for many years, but had accumulated some mildew & mold on the fiberglass roof and some places on the body of the van. Because it would probably leak, I wouldn't drive it until I could get the roof resealed, but most shops were short on labor and backed up for weeks. Fortunately I found Woodard RV who was were able to find time and did a great job cleaning the the roof, i.e. scraping it and resealing it. Then they continued to clean the whole body, removed any mildew and mold; made it look great. They also did an excellent job installing a small water heater! I'll be going back to Woodard's in the future and would recommend them to anyone. read more

I live in Salem, OR where Woodard RV is located. Squirrels had invaded my Dometic RV A/C unit and wrecked it beyond repair. I took it to Woodard and they recommended replacing it with the same Dometic unit at a cost of $1,017 plus labor costs. Their 'office manager' said the job would take 2 hours. I suggested running 1/2" wire mesh behind the giant holes on the replacement unit to prevent it from happening again and their repair guy agreed it would be a good idea. The office manager then claimed that would obstruct the air flow. When I said the repair guy saw no problem with that, she said "yeah but we don't trust him". When I mentioned that other brands I'd seen have vents too small for squirrels to get into she said they didn't sell parts anyway so go buy one myself. She told me to pick one out, let them know what I was looking at, and we would "go from there". My RV has no ducting and no thermostat aside from what's on the A/C unit's controls, so replacing it requires simply dropping it into the same hole where the old one was and connecting the electrics. After 3 days of requesting a written estimate for the labor, they finally sent one showing 1/2 hour for diagnosing the problem (fair enough) but the 2 hours for the job had turned into 2 1/2 hours for a total of 3 hours. Alright, I needed to get the thing fixed... So I found a better unit than the Dometic for $820 and, as we had agreed, emailed them the complete, detailed specs, including the heat strip and capacitor that would need connecting, and a link to the website with photos and a description of what was involved in installing it. They simply replied "that's fine, any of them will work" -- no mention of any unexpected installation work needed. So I went ahead and ordered the unit. After I dropped it off they emailed me saying that it would take 5 hours, not 2 1/2, to install it. Total 5 1/2 hours at $145 an hour = $797.50. When I questioned that, I got this response: "Unfortunately we would not have known there would be extra time needed until we pulled your old AC off and opened the new one. With you already not wanting to add more labor time we did not pull the AC until you arrived with your new one to keep the cost low for you [I have no idea what this BS means]. Per my last email it will work. The Ac works and fits perfectly. It does require modifications/assembling we did not foresee causing this discrepancy. The reason I quoted you 2.5hrs originally [actually 2 hours], which was/is always subject to change, was because I was under the impression you were purchasing the unit we originally recommended for you [completely untrue]. I do apologize that I miss heard [apparently "miss" read too] and quoted inaccurately. We will let you know when your unit is complete and ready for pick up." Never again... read more

We are seniors and new RVers, just recently moved to Salem. Today we encountered a problem putting down our awning and couldn't find an answer in our Operator's Manual. The service manager at the RV dealership where we bought the RV did not respond to our call for advice. We called another RV service center in Salem, but they didn't have time to help us. Instead, they referred us to Woodard RV. When we called, both Tyler and Bob were involved in other service calls. However, Bob was so considerate, listened to the problem, inquired about our location, and said he would try to get to us later in the day. Then he asked several questions and suggested that we take a couple pictures and text to him, he would see if he could determine the problem. I did so, and in a few minutes he responded, explained the problem, and stayed on the line to walk us through the process of a solution. He saved us the time and expense of a service call--NO CHARGE for phone expertise. I ttold him that he was our "angel." We're SO RELIEVED to have someone nearby who has knowledge to assist RV "newbies" and is not just trying to make $$ off of seniors in crisis. We will certainly turn to them again with any further problems and we get accustomed to RV life. read more

Bob and Tyler are the Best! We stopped in Woodburn, OR at an RV Campgroud and while setting up our travel trailer one of our slides stopped working when it was half way out and would not move. Bob and Tyler showed up when they said they would and immediately diagnosed the problem. After exhausting every means available to locate a replacement part, they presented a plan to repair it themselves. The next morning they showed at our RV site removed the broken and mangled parts to take to there shop for repairs. A couple of hours later they returned and installed the repaired parts and our slide was back to functioning properly and sealing better than ever before. They are professional, possess a great deal of experience, and stayed in constant communications with me. They really do great work and are deserving of a 5 star rating. read more

Bob and Tyler were great at diagnosing the non running generator on our toy hauler. At no fault of theirs, the parts took a while to get to them but they were the right parts from the manufacturer. The generator runs great! We highly recommend Woodard RV for any repairs. read more

Probably should have a zero star for this outfit. They claim to be the best in Salem, so I rented a space to park my trailer in the same storage place where their shop is. They said they would pull it out, assess the damage to the awning and get me a price and an expected date of completion. I gave them a key so they could get in and extend the awning to see what was needed to repair it. This was mid March, 2021. I went by a couple weeks later to see if they had come up with a price and if I was on the schedule to get the work done. I also needed the key to get into my trailer. It took her 20-30 minutes to find my key. It was just laying on the break area counter with a piece of tape and "Mike" written on it. What kind of company uses this kind of key control??? Ok, now to why I am writing this negative comment: Today, mid May, I went to get my trailer out of storage and get it home to clean and dewinterize it and get ready for RV season. I went into the office again, and asked if they had a price and when I could expect the work to be done. She said I was set for next Monday. I felt good about that so I said I would bring it in that day, and needed a time to drop it off and when to pick up the completed trailer. She said it would only take a few minutes to assess the necessary repairs and get me a price at that time and then get me on the repair schedule. I told her that they had 2 months to pull it out and assess what was needed. Earlier I had even offered to prepay for the parts so they could get them ordered and on hand in case they had a cancellation. Wow, talk about lame!! I took my key back and said to just forget it. They lied to me about the work date and never bothered to pull out the trailer and assess the repairs needed. They stole over 2 months from me that I could have been on an honest and reliable repair companies waiting list. Now I won't have an awning for the season should I decide to even use the trailer. Contacted them to fix some running lights and re do some caulking around the roof of my camper. They came out a couple days latter to do an estimate and instead did the repair right then. EXCELLENT SERVICE. I had these folks do some electrical repairs on my 2005 Arctic Fox 5th wheel..Bob came out two times and finally towed to their shop. What a great experience. They fixed multiple issues. They not only fixed my electrical shorts but fixed the Onan generator and resealed and cleaned my roof on our 32.5 fifth wheel. The RV was returned back to me cleaner than it went in and in perfect working condition. Bob also took the time to walk through and show me both inside and out what the issues were.. They kept me in the loop the entire time and their prices are by far the best I have found anywhere..I could not be happier with the quality and quantity of the work they did. Do no! I repeat do not go to Woodard RV. I had the first day with the where Bob came out and took pictures. Was suppose to hear from Dana. No! they all went on a three week vacation in Hawaii! They didn't tell me that when Bob came out and took the pictures not did Dana call to let me know. I was on a schedule to get my RV fixed because my warranty was about to expire. I don't know how many times I had to call them with Dana never calling me back. I was worrying about time to get my RV fixed before the warranty had expired. I was told by Dana that she had put on a claim waiting for the warranty company to call her back to tell her what they would authorize. She was going to call me back . You can guess she never called me back. So I called Dana because it was close to the warranty expiring, " oh they said as long as we have a claim in there they will honor the warranty" Guess what?! The warranty company saw it a different way! So no my RV did not get fixed!! Now it's out of pocket if I want things finished. I'm a veteran and on a fixed income and we all know that won't be happening any time soon. read more
