By far Tim at Highway Trailer Sales was the best RV salesman we encountered in our long search of our perfect RV (and we dealt with MANY). He was patient, informative and not pushy at all. Although we decided to go a different route, we would have kept our business with Tim if they did have our right fit. Plenty of great RVs at Highway, just not the one to fit our needs. Not great selection at this lot and I understand that the inventory is low right now but trailers on the lot were mostly all used and very dated. (At least the ones that we were shown) Even the newer ones that were used were not in the greatest condition and prices still pretty high. Sad but they only carry 4 brands of the company's that they want to deal with directly. Saul was very nice and was able to answer most of our questions. The Highway Trailer service department saved our Fourth of July camping trip. My 12 VDC master disconnect switch broke a week before our trip. I took my camper over to HTS expecting to set up an appointment for a month or two out. Chris the service manager checked with her crew to see if they could get me in the same day. She came back and told me that she had a tech free and he could get started immediately. I was blown away as I was expecting to camp without power. Less than an hour later, I was driving out and heading home. Kudos to Chris and her team and their excellent customer service to make me a "happy camper". We will be able to go on our camping trip as planned thanks to Chris and the HTS service department. read more

These folks are crooks and actually committed fraud with our insurance company. DO NOT HAVE REPAIR WORK DONE BY THEM IF COVERED BY INSURANCE!! They treat you totally different than repair work not covered. The service manager and owners tried to screw us by keeping our partially damaged electric awning they removed, at our request, at the time of the repair estimate. We were about to take the trailer on vacation so I had them do a temporary fix, including the removal of the awning, so we could use the trailer. We would have the repairs done after our vacation. During our vacation, the insurance company reimbursed us based on the estimate provided by Highway Trailer Sales (HTS). So when we returned, I asked HTS for the awning back before committing to habe them repair our trailer. This is when things went sideways. They first said that the insurance company owned it. When that didn't work they said they could charge storage fees. It was clear they had no intention of returning it so I told them I would take them to small claims court. Later that day, I received an email from them telling me that I owed them $10,000+ for the repair work and materials ordered. I asked them to provide me a signed work order authorizing them to order materials and to do the work. I never heard back because I never authorized anything. I then made an official request in writing for all the parts they removed from our fifth wheel to prepare for my legal claim against them. I also made a call to my insurance company, asking for any direct payments made to HTS and to me, again for the legal claim. What I found out next, blew my mind! Apparently, after my written request to HTS, they called my insurance company and requested additional money, mailed directly to them, for the repair work. I was flabbergasted to say the least! HTS was going to settle with me before I filed a legal claim (my assumption), with money they got from my insurance company, without my knowledge or consent. I explained everything to the insurance company and we had the check canceled. The insurance company decided to compensate me for the loss, with the understanding that I would let HTS know that the check was cancelled and that we would not have any further business with them. read more

We dropped off our camper on Friday 5/21 for an appointment to get our skylight fixed (under warranty, leaked within a year) on Monday 5/24. We received a call that it was done and arranged to pick it up 5/26. My wife went inside to the counter, gave the lady her name and had to use the restroom. When she came back the lady had the paperwork just sitting there on the counter. There was no communication with my wife whatsoever. My wife had to ask "That's it?" And the lady said "Just need a signature and I'll give you a copy and the keys". There was no walk around, no explaining to my wife what was done, not even the courtesy of where they had parked it. My wife being too trusting and not even thinking about looking at it herself, brought it home. To my disappointment, it looked EXACTLY the same on the inside as when I dropped it off. There are still rust stains all around the inside piece from the leak that had occurred. I looked at the work order and they clearly stated "Installed Inner dome and cleaned up any left over staining from the leak." THEY DID NO SUCH THING. I called and asked to speak to a manager. The guy on the line said one would call me back. I got a call back and after getting told "We don't really do that kind of clean up" and was told a manager would call me back. Wasn't this guy I was talking to supposed to be the manager? Didn't you clearly put on the service order that it was done? On top of that the bathroom mirror clasp was broken (Which was obviously not that way when we dropped it off). Update: Still no call back. I regret purchasing an over $30k unit from this company. read more

To start off I didn't even purchase my trailer from Highway Trailer Sales and when I had an issue with my hitch ball, which I didn't install 100% tight, Hwy Trailer Sales tightened it for free! They also answered some questions I had regarding some trailer tips. I ended up going through them to have some work done for my electrical adapter (4 to 7 pin) and the work was done efficiently and affordably. Kudos to Kevin for being such a great salesman. I have a 2018 keystones purchased this unit in Nov. I have a problem with a slide an took it to highway for worenty. They had it for 2 weeks an notified me the work needed keystones would not cover what they wanted to do so I was told to come an pick it up. Upon contacting keystones highway told them I was suing. FYI: Our experience with your business We bought a new Cougar 5th wheel trailer from Highway trailers in 2010. During the sales negotiations the sales people called us 3 or 4 times a day putting pressure on us to buy...telling us if we bought somewhere else it would be hard to get us in for service if needed. Also, they sold us on way over priced RV protective coating! After the sale was made absolutely no follow up calls were made to us! After a few years the trail developed a propane problem. Called and made an appointment for repairs brought the trailer in. The lady in service told me I needed to back it the length of their lot between two closely parked trailers. I told her I was not comfortable backing in that far and she said "what you can't back up your own trailer"! I said OK I'll give it a try...then she yelled at me "this means stop holding her hands up" I told her I wasn't anywhere close to hitting anything and I know what STOP means! Got it parked (with the help of a tech) and described the problem (no propane on the passenger side and the driver's side was leaking). Service called the next day to pick it up told it was all fixed ~ $250.00 for a propane pigtail replacement. I asked if you fixed the leak on the driver's side. The service manager said he did the work himself and the driver's side OK. Took it home and didn't test for a couple weeks thinking it was repaired! When I finally tested the propane system... the passenger side would only light the stove not furnace and the driver's side was still leaking! We chose not to complain or do business with them and have a mobile RV service come to the house and fix the propane problem! Very disappointed in Highway trailer sales ;-( Mr. R. O. Ivie read more

Bought our second trailer from Highway We purchased a hard to find, barely used Chalet pop up a-frame a couple of years ago, and traded it in on a 31 foot travel trailer this month. They gave us a great deal on the trade in, and the trailer that suited our needs just happened to be a clearance model. The sales experience followed by the financing deal was completely pressure free, straightforward, respectful, and pleasant. The trailer we purchased was advertised online with a television, but when we saw the model, and agreed to purchase, the TV had been removed. We didn't have to ask twice for a replacement TV.
