During pick up, both dogs immediately pottied after getting outside of the building so not sure how much they were taken out.. Recently my husband had a medical emergency. He was in the hospital for 7 days. It was an awful time and of course we worried about our dog, Winnie. She wouldn't let people in our house to take her out and forget about spending the night at any of our kids houses. We were told, she's just a dog, don't worry. I But she is a part of our family. We realized that the we had to find an alternative to what we were doing. She had been to Woodbine several times before and we loved how well they treated her. I called and was reassured she could stay as long as we needed her there. In a very terrible time in our life, we knew she would be well taken care of. It was a relief to bring her there. I can't say enough good things about this kennel. My dog absolutely loves going here. The facilities are clean. And every time he goes, he runs up to the door so excited and happy. We have used this kennel several times in the past and had an average experience, but our most recent use of their services ended terribly, and we will not be returning and will be warning others against use of their services. We had booked our two dogs for 10 days while we were on vacation. While we were gone, there was a break out of kennel cough. We are aware that that is a risk in any kennel setting, our poor review is due entirely to the lack of communication from the kennel and how our dog's health and safety was handled. When breakout in the kennel was confirmed, we were not notified. When the our dogs started to cough, we were not notified. When one of our dogs stopped eating we were STILL not notified. It wasn't until our dogs hadn't eaten a full meal in over 48 hours that the kennel notified us that our dogs were in need of emergency care. We picked them up immediately, and confirmed with our emergency vet that our older dog had pneumonia, with significant fluid in his lungs. He was so weak he had to be lifted into our car. He is 13 years old, and the vet indicated that we had brought him in in the nick of time, and that this state could have been prevented with more timely care. We communicated how appalled we were at the lack of contact, and were told that the kennel didn't want to be responsible for "interrupting our vacation". They made it very clear that they didn't feel their behavior was at all inappropriate, and that our complaints were falling on deaf ears. The complete lack of accountability or remorse was absolutely unacceptable. read more

My hound was taken care of well during her daycare stays at Woodbine. I appreciate that they take precautions with the dogs, keeping new dogs separate so they can assess their personality before putting them with other dogs. Then when they ARE with other dogs, it's not 30 in one spot. We have yet to do an overnight, but the owner lives on-site and I feel comfortable leaving our girl there. I wish I could give this zero stars. Our dog Bella was lost from the kennel this morning and we got a call at 7:30am from a stranger (who doesn't work there) saying they found her wandering in a cornfield. The owner when I arrived to pick her up early didn't say sorry and went to charge us for the stay. I said we were expecting some kind of discount since we were panicked and our dog lost, and she said she wouldn't give one. Not only did she have a laissez-faire attitude about the whole situation she kept shifting blame to the "contractors". I said if they have an outside third party in they should have procedures to watch after and secure the dogs. I asked how she got out and the owner said, "ask her." And I said, "seriously? She's a dog!" Anyways, she continued to make snide remarks and got her staff to chime in with her unprofessional language. At one point I said, "that's not professional," and she said, "well you've got me in a bitchy mood and I'm just reacting to you." She also said to add insult to injury, "I'm not a perfect person, and neither are you." All I can say is WOW! No empathy, concern, or regard for us or the dog as the customers... DO NOT take your dog here! read more

We all know how hard it is to leave our family members (pets) with strangers and that is why I would highly recommend Woodbine Hill... they will never treat you or your dog like a stranger. From daily doggie daycare (reasonably priced and an awesome option for your dog to get exercise while you are at work) to overnight boarding if you take your dog here the family will remember and greet your pup by name! If knowing your dog by name is not reason enough to trust Woodbine Hill, the kennel is also a clean and spacious facility with plenty of room for the dogs to run and play. They also give the dogs an opportunity to nap during the afternoon and they feed your dog an excellent natural food as part of the reasonably priced package too! I would highly recommend them for daily exercise or any time you have to board your pet. read more

We were referred by a friend and neighbor and from the initial phone call they were Awesome. We have an elderly Mother who needed to be hospitalized for at least a week, and they were fine with that just update them if any longer. They care about the animals, as they ask you let them know how much food your pet eats and if anything special they should know and they have food if you prefer them to supply that. We will for sure use them again. read more

We brought our two standard poodles in for two days and were uneasy to do so. We had never boarded them anywhere. Woodbine did a great job. They took the job on short notice; they showed us their very attractive, clean and spacious facilities. They put the dogs together in a very spacious kennel (almost the size of a small child's bedroom) and took them out in to the play yard multiple times. We were advised that it can be overwhelming for dogs at kennels because of the constant flurry of activity, so each day that held a three hour lights-off nap time. What a great idea. The animals appeared happy and well fed when we picked them up. The bill was very reasonable. They even fed the dogs as part of the package! If this were typical of dog boarding, pet parents would need have no worries. We are grateful for their professional but friendly approach. I would happily leave my dogs here anytime. read more

Used Woodbine many years ago and were completely happy when I traveled with the kids. Now The kids have grown and we all have dogs to board, so we are back at Woodbine. Very happy with care provided, socialization they get...have no worries when dogs are here. Have boarded for weddings couple of days and ten days. Dogs are always happy and clean. So glad we have them to use when we leave our four legged family members. read more

When calling around different kennels to get the dogs daily routine and agenda, I found Woodbine surpassed most. A dog needs to be active and not closed in most of their day. Places quoted me extra for the playtime. Woodbine even provided natural food for the dog and didn't charge for it. It's hidden in a nice open area away from traffic which keeps them safe. I received a tour and tips on health when I dropped them off. The courteous staff will definitely make me come back. read more
