We've been here before for hockey games but we've never tried out their roller rink! It was awesome. They have a DJ, snack bar with churros and slushies. They had a walking track above looking down on the rink. The prices were affordable ($5 for students) and the staff was very nice! There were tons of booths. We threw all of our belongings in one and it was the kids home base. Their rentals had skates or rollerblades. Even the arcade games were reasonably priced! read more

So this was my 1st time attending here and will definitely be my last. Never been here before and did not know what to do or what the procedure was. The girl at the desk never provided any information about anything. I did not know I needed quarters for the locker rental, nor did I not know I couldn't wear a baseball cap or have a crossbody bag. As soon as I got on the rink, the attendant told me I had to get off because of my hat. I wasn't upset or anything, I quietly skated off, returned my skates and gathered my belongings. As I was exiting I observed men on the skating rink with beanies on their heads and skull caps. Additionally I observed adults walking on the rink as they were helping their children. I did not know that the rink was also a track. I would think that's a bigger safety hazard than wearing a hat. When I went to the front to inquire about a refund there was a gentleman in front of me who had on a hat and I was tempted to say something to him but I also wanted to see if the clerk would remind him of the hat policy, but she didn't. I don't know if the assumption is that everyone who visits are regulars and know the protocol, but it wouldn't hurt to have signage at the front desk and to also remind the attendants to say something to the patrons. read more

I'm a parent to a 6-year-old child that is diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. Before you decide to sign up for your child to attend WCC camp, please read my review. First, I want to emphasize WCC's lack of communication. My partner and I repeatedly tried to speak with the person overseeing the summer camp before the first day via phone or email, hoping to explain our child's needs in person. However, WCC communicated only by email and said meetings were not an option, but they assured us they could support my child. We shared our child's likes, dislikes, comfort zones, and guidelines for responding to outbursts or meltdowns. The first day of camp was the first terrifying and traumatizing moment my child has ever experienced. I received a call stating my child needed to be picked up because my child was not listening, refused to get out of the pool and struck a staff member. I was working and I told them I could be there within 30 minutes. Two minutes later someone else called asking if I could get there sooner or if my partner could arrive faster. I explained it wasn't possible because we worked at the same location and to please be patient. This person refused to listen and asked if I had another family member because my child "has to go". Truthfully, I answered, "I have no reliable family members, I'm on my way" and I just hung up on them. I arrived 20 minutes after the first call and went straight to the lobby receptionist to retrieve my child. Near the entrance to the pool area, three staff members stared at me and whispered to each other then proceeded to get the supervisor. The supervisor explained to me that my child was not listening to staff, refused to get out of the pool and had locked themselves in the changing area. I asked the supervisor if she was aware that my child has autism and that my child needs a 5-minute reminder when pool time is coming to an end. She claims she was not aware although my child was wearing a red wristband indicating the diagnoses. I also confirmed it was written on the paperwork when I went to pick up the summer camp shirt. Finally, we arrive to the changing room to find two staff members and a Woodbridge police officer. The staff said my child barricaded themselves inside and they couldn't get in. Without even saying a word, I opened the un-locked door and looked at the staff, proving they had lied. I witnessed my child lying on the floor naked, white as a ghost, shivering in fear. My child put their hands over their ears and apologized to me repeatedly. My child said" I thought I did something wrong when they told me to get out the pool and I thought the cop was going to arrest me". It took me about 10 minutes to calm my child down. During the 10 minutes, I heard several knocks on the door from the supervisors urging us to leave. The officer also kept knocking on door asking if I wanted to get my child "committed". He also told me that I should have a better dialog with the staff because they are not properly equipped to handle "kids like this". As my child and I walk out of the pool area, children hounded from a distance saying, "What's wrong with that kid?" and "Get out of here!". As we continue to walk, we are approached by the staff and the officer. The staff stated that they are not equipped to "handle kids with these diagnoses" and would like a better dialog to better handle a situation like this. I reminded them that I sent emails explaining my child's diagnosis and I was assured he would be accommodated. My words fell on deaf ears and to protect my child from further scrutiny, we swiftly exited WCC. That night in bed, my child said," I thought I was going to jail, and I was in big trouble". I couldn't fathom sending my child back to WCC to suffer further fear and humiliation. So, the next morning, I spoke with a supervisor from WCC and explained why my child would not be returning. WCC only gave me a partial refund because "policies" protect them even if it is unfair. I was charged for a full week of attendance and the meal plan for that week as well. I wrote this very long review because the full story was necessary. I urge every parent and caregiver to be aware of my family's treatment for just one day in this camp. Every time we pass by WCC, my child closes their eyes and covers their ears. The lack of support, training, and the claims they did not know my child was autistic is beyond disbelief. WCC will assure you that they are equipped to accommodate your child with disorders, but at the end of the day its "Profit over People". read more

This facility has a lot to offer: swimming, basketball, ice hockey and roller skating. I went skating and was teleported back to my childhood. The rink is perfect for families. Good music and friendly staff. They have a deal for a family of four which includes rentals, pizza, a pitcher of soda, and a game card for $56. You can't beat that price for a day of fun. I've never been in this center so I wanted to take the kids to try skating. Very nice facility. I am a member of the gym directly across the street and it gives me the same good feeling at Woodbridge community that I get when I go to The Club at Woodbridge (both owned by the town). It was a little crowded but very family friendly. We got the family package so the kids could skate and have pizza and soft drinks. I thought it was relatively inexpensive and the kids had a good time. Really good music on he skate floor as well. If I weren't recovering from an ankle injury I would have gotten out there and gotten busy myself lol. I definitely recommend if you are looking for some family fun and doing something different in the area. read more

I loved the inclusivity of activities, but when I tried to use the vending machine it didn't work. There wasn't even a sign on it. I thought maybe it was my mistake. Oh boy was I wrong. I put four dollars and it still didn't work. I eventually stopped putting money into the machine and went to the skate rental to talk to a worker. He had bleach blonde hair. I talked to him and he said it didn't work in a condescending tone. I asked him what I could do and he shrugged and said "if it doesn't work then oh well." This guy had no manners and in general HORRIBLE customer service. The activities were enjoyable, BUT THAT BOY'S BEHAVIOR WAS UNACCEPTABLE! Hopefully I can get a refund. read more

I think this is a great place for children/teens to rollerskate and hang out with their friends. My only critique is how crowded it gets on Saturdays to the point where there's no where to sit, your standing shoulder to shoulder with some stranger and there's screaming little kids running around and tripping all over the place. They should place a cap on the amount of people allowed in the rink on their busier days. read more

I had so much fun the last time I went skating here. In the past, there were too many people skating at the same time. It felt ..hazardous. There was a lot more room on my last visit, maybe because of Covid restrictions. Masks are required. The music was pretty good, and it was just nice to be back in the rink. Look forward to next time. We came here for a roller skating birthday party and it is much nicer than I imagined. This community center is massive and has everything! It is open to non-residents but the price for the activities such as skating is a little higher than if you are a resident. It is still very reasonable (we paid $11 for a child's admission for roller skating and skate rental. ) It looks like there are also lessons that you can sign up for. The staff there consists mostly of teenagers, presumably from the town but I am not sure. It would be inspiring to see a town provide employment opportunities for their teens when school is out. Walking in, I saw a clean looking indoor lap pool with several lanes. The roller rink area looked modern and clean with some Dave and Buster style arcades lining the walls. There is a prize counter for the arcades. There is a separate indoor ice skating rink and a basketball gym. There is also a spacious dining area with tables and chairs that look more modern than your run of the mill cafeteria style dining areas that are common in skating in places. On the second floor, there are pool tables, ping pong tables, football tables, computer room, craft room, workout rooms and an indoor track overlooking the roller rink. In the back, there is a mini golf area. We plan to be back when the kids need something to do in the winter. read more

There's plenty of parking spaces so I never have problems finding a spot. The locker rooms are clean and there are lockers so bring your own lock or leave your valuables at home. I'm knocking off 1 star because they do close certain areas/rooms when their is an event so sometimes, you may not have access to the basketball court or swimming pool. We were quite impressed with how well this facility was run. It was clean and every employee we saw was friendly and helpful. The price for a skate session and skate rentals were quite reasonable. The snack bars had a large variety of choices and the prices were lower than I would have expected. I would definitely come back. The video games were all working well and were clean. There are many activities available in addition to roller and ice skating. Membership is available, which gives free access to some of the facilities, but that only gives a discount on the skating, not free access. read more

Since moving down to the Woodbridge Area this place is very close to my house. Its located on Main Street and close by major highways including the Parkway, Turnpike, and Route 1 & 9. The membership annually for a family of 4 resident is 600 dollars. This includes two parents and up to 4 children. Its basically a gym membership with other activities that includes pool tables, foosball tables, ping pong tables, air hockey tables, ice rink, and roller skating. They also has a swimming pool , basketball court, and a outdoor mini gold course. Its a good place to spend some time on a raining day or if you need to work out. They also have child care but you do have to check the hours. If your kids are older they can participate in the activities at the center. There's plenty of parking spaces since they hold birthday parties and leagues. The basketball court is open during certain times but it get kind of crowded. They have six hoops but it very close to one another and its very hard to play a decent game without other people interfering with your game. The swimming pool has lockers and showers stalls to rinse before you go in and they offer swim classes as well. Overall, its a good place to spend time if you have nothing to do or want to work out at the gym. read more

There is much I like about the Woodbridge Community Center but I would like to know what drunken idiot designed the showers in the women's bathroom (and assume it's the same for the men's bathroom). The 'shower' consists of a short pipe with a hole at the bottom that barely sprays water straight down about 2 inches from the wall. In fact, the Center had to add a blue arrow above each pipe so clients knew that these were shower heads. Now it might work to take your hands and splash a little water on your swimsuit prior to going into the pool but just try to wash the chlorine out of your hair or from your body when you get out of the pool. It's almost impossible. I have never seen anything like it and, although there are two family showers, they aren't always available. These so called showers are simply unacceptable! read more

Hi my fellow Adventurers! This past weekend I had a friends kid birthday party at the skating rink. Checking in wasn't too bad, though they did make it feel rushed. Which is probably because they had 4 more parties after ours, but honestly I understand as to why. I'd also like to note that the music they play walking in they weren't really playing 'child appropriate' music. To me the music was geared towards teens or older, not younger children around 10 or below. The rink was clean, the character, Rollo the Rhino really needs a makeover and new dance sequence. It felt so awkward that the birthday kid was in the center barely dancing (chicken dance) and the guests stood on the side. I think if they revamped this routine geared towards a more engaging and energetic one they'd book a lot more parties. The space was well kept, including the bathrooms considering there a ton of kids running around. The pizza wasn't bad that they provided reminded me of Papa Johns or Chuck E. Cheese. Overall it wasn't a bad experience for a kids party, plus it keeps the kids moving and not head first into their phones. Just a note: It would be extremely helpful for parents to be able to split the bill with multiple cards. If you have two people paying for the party but not the same card, stating rudely to go use the ATM machine makes your customer points go down. They may need to make a change because well it's 2017 and everyone allows split bill pay. read more

Don't book a party here-- My child's birthday was in winter so unfortunately we had to cancel her party. The $50 down payment was held as credit so we could use it another time. Nobody ever said we had to use it with in 3 months. Now a year and a half later after a knee injury my daughter had while cheer leading has healed and I called about the credit and they told me "Sorry credits are only held for 3 months" REALLY?? they have you in the computer system and can't have the credit marked on file for you. As a newcomer to central NJ and Woodbridge, I wasn't expecting the Community Center here to be ... niiiiiiiccccceeee. I come out of Brooklyn where the community centers seem to be stuck 10 years back for equipment, services, and sanitary habits but were still cheaper than the Ys and brand-name gyms. WCC has - new equipment in clean cardio and weight rooms! An ice hockey rink and a roller rink and a real cafe! An indoor walking/jogging track! Pool tables and ping-pong! Mini-golf! Batting cages! A niiiiiiiccccceeee swimming pool! A niiiiiiccceeee basketball/volleyball court! And really looks updated! HOWEVER ... want to skate? That's extra. Mini-golf? Extra. Batting cages? Extra. Swimming or skate lessons? Extra. Oh, and then you have a membership fee AND joining fee AND "last month" fee, which seems to only cover the cardio/weight rooms, swimming pools, and the few fitness classes - and I mean, FEW - offered. There's a reason why every time I go there, staff is arguing with someone at the desk about the cost(s) of using WCC. Want schedule updates? Won't find them on the website so take your chances should something be canceled for the holidays. The one place that's a redheaded stepchild is the locker room with the showers - the locker room is tiny AF and the showers ... need some help. Being a member gets you a slight discount on those "extras" - SLIGHT being key. And if you're not a Woodbridge resident, it costs more $ (although knowing how NJ towns are set up, yeah, absolutely makes sense that our property-tax-paying asses should get some bonuses for being here). If you can get over the nickel-and-dime part of WCC, though, you'll find many staff and other members are great people, and people really care about the space. It's easy to get to since it's on the ... Main Street ... with a huge, carnival-hosting-sized parking lot. I've been going at least 3x a week and I use practically everything at WCC, including the roller rink. If something's not working, they will "get somebody" who'll actually show up to fix it, including problems with class instructors. But special shout-outs for the HIIT instructor and the Mama of the Cardio room for making WCC a great place to visit. read more

Woodbridge Community Center used to be the Woodbridge YMCA. It's actually a very nice facility, right off of Main Street. I've been coming here for at least 5 years. We play volleyball every weekend night. The bathrooms are clean. They have a nice Olympic size pool, they have an ice hockey rink, and a roller skating rink. They have exercise machines, weight room, and showers and lockers available. At the roller skating rink you can rent it out and have roller skating birthday parties. They have a concession stand and a vending machine. The staff is young and friendly. Definitely recommend. read more

In all honesty the first time I came to this place I had an amazing experience with my 2 YEAR OLD son the second experience was honestly HORRIBLE idk if the hired new staff in a weeks period but this lady with short hair thought she owned the place as soon as we arrived to the roller skating ring she was hovering over us the whole 2 hours that I was there my son is 2 like I said and came in with a mask even tho he is claustrophobic sometime during skating he dropped his mask and the lady immediately came and told me he can't skate unless he had a mask on and I told her he had just dropped it and she continues to watch us while there's other children walking around with no mask . She went to everyone else in the party telling them my son was way older then 3 and needs a mask which is completely false as the others told her she's not even 3 it's not my fault his father is 6'3 and he's always been a big baby over alll the experience sucked don't recommend super ghetto and racist over it if I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD ITS 2020 no need to be discriminating read more

Keep in mind that this review is based solely off attendance at one roller skating birthday party however I've generally heard positive reviews of the Woodbridge Community Center & I'd like to try the other parts of the facility. The center appears clean, well run and is very spacious. Parking is plentiful also. My daughter had a super time at a birthday party in the roller skating rink - the kids were given ample skating time, then time for refreshments and finally time to use their tokens in the arcade. Staff appeared to be available and helpful most of the time. Big bonus is that were lots of benches and seats (and space) for the parents who were just there to "supervise." When we were leaving, I noticed that a police officer was stationed near the exit and this made me feel comfortable that the management was in control of any potential mischief. The only drawback was that the rink quickly became very busy and crowded as multiple parties were being hosted at once, and I am guessing public skate was also going on (this was a Saturday early evening). For younger children, it is definitely not one of those venues where you would feel comfortable dropping a child off at the party and returning later - the facility is just too large and there are too many other people coming and going. The party we attended was, in fact, quite large and the host would never have been able to keep tabs on all of the children as they went about skating and visiting other sections of the rink such as the arcade. All in all though, it appears Woodbridge Community Center hosts a great party and we look forward to going again soon. read more

Meanwhile the staff member who is supposed to monitoring safety in the rink is like whipping around like it's the olympics abs not watching anyone and even cause several kids to fall. Because I waited 25 minutes for an egg sandwich last time, I thought I couldn't go wrong going with a soft pretzel, as my son needed a snack before his hockey game. This review is solely for the skyline mini golf course. It's first rate with some unique and challenging holes the entire family will love. The course is clean and beautiful which is ideal for mini golf. I went early evening with my family in July and had a great time. Just note the course has no shade and can be really hot in the Summer. Best bet is to go early AM or the evening. As for the community center, it seems like a great place. They have a roller rink, ice rink, pool and lots of activities. The facilities were pretty clean and the staff seemed helpful. read more

My family and I had the pleasure of attending a roller skating birthday party here and wow... was I impressed. We typically goto a local rink every Saturday for lesson and to let the kids burn off some energy, so going to this rink was the polar opposite to what my kids were used to seeing. The facility was really clean, the arcade section was large enough that all the kids didn't have to wait long for their turn, and they were all functioning and clean. The staff was really friendly and the kids loved the music selection... They are actually less expensive than the facility we are used to going to, so there an additional bonus. We can definitely count on going back there for open skate and I'm sure having a birthday party as well. read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Paid $30 for ice skating and rental for 2. Ended up leaving not even 20 min after arriving. The skates they rent out are horrific. Me and my boyfriend both tried on 2 different pairs BOTH wouldn't even grip the ice. Went around the rink once wouldn't even let go of the wall because I felt no friction between the ice and the skates. How do you expect people to skate if your skates are such low quality. Maybe the 50 children you're over charging don't mind falling all over the floor, but experienced skaters would like(expect) a better experience. read more

This is a nice spot to get your exercise on, from the pool, ice skating, to the roller rink. I went here for a birthday party which for the most part was organized well, but you get bunched up on top of other birthday parties. The drawback I experienced was getting charged extra if I wanted to accompany my kid in the rink. OF COURSE I WOULD BE ACCOMPANYING my kid, unless they want to experience a kid getting hurt who never tried roller skating. They also need to come up with a better system to get the kids on the rink faster because the time flew, it was too short. I can say however the staff is friendly and accommodating within their reach, so the experience was not awful at all. Management just needs to help with better systems in place. read more

Terrible service and staff! Yelled at us multiple times for multiple things. For example: holding my drink above the carpet, being scared to move, etc. One screamed in my ear and scared me. This club needs a lesson in customer service and follow up. I have tried for a year both by phone and in person to schedule private swim lessons to no avail. I go in person to fill out the application which list a 2 week response time, Ok no prob. 5 weeks late no contact ever. You call in and you're met by teenagers operating the phone that have no knowledge of anything. No one higher than the aquatic coordinator to speak to. Hopefully I get a call following my honest feedback. read more
