The girl at the desk never provided any information about anything. I did not know I needed quarters for the locker rental, nor did I not know I couldn't wear a baseball cap or have a crossbody bag. As soon as I got on the rink, the attendant told me I had to get off because of my hat. I wasn't upset or anything, I quietly skated off, returned my skates and gathered my belongings. As I was exiting I observed men on the skating rink with beanies on their heads and skull caps. Additionally I observed adults walking on the rink as they were helping their children. I did not know that the rink was also a track. I would think that's a bigger safety hazard than wearing a hat. When I went to the front to inquire about a refund there was a gentleman in front of me who had on a hat and I was tempted to say something to him but I also wanted to see if the clerk would remind him of the hat policy, but she didn't. I don't know if the assumption is that everyone who visits are regulars and know the protocol, but it wouldn't hurt to have signage at the front desk and to also remind the attendants to say something to the patrons.

I'm a parent to a 6-year-old child that is diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. Before you decide to…read moresign up for your child to attend WCC camp, please read my review. First, I want to emphasize WCC's lack of communication. My partner and I repeatedly tried to speak with the person overseeing the summer camp before the first day via phone or email, hoping to explain our child's needs in person. However, WCC communicated only by email and said meetings were not an option, but they assured us they could support my child. We shared our child's likes, dislikes, comfort zones, and guidelines for responding to outbursts or meltdowns. The first day of camp was the first terrifying and traumatizing moment my child has ever experienced. I received a call stating my child needed to be picked up because my child was not listening, refused to get out of the pool and struck a staff member. I was working and I told them I could be there within 30 minutes. Two minutes later someone else called asking if I could get there sooner or if my partner could arrive faster. I explained it wasn't possible because we worked at the same location and to please be patient. This person refused to listen and asked if I had another family member because my child "has to go". Truthfully, I answered, "I have no reliable family members, I'm on my way" and I just hung up on them. I arrived 20 minutes after the first call and went straight to the lobby receptionist to retrieve my child. Near the entrance to the pool area, three staff members stared at me and whispered to each other then proceeded to get the supervisor. The supervisor explained to me that my child was not listening to staff, refused to get out of the pool and had locked themselves in the changing area. I asked the supervisor if she was aware that my child has autism and that my child needs a 5-minute reminder when pool time is coming to an end. She claims she was not aware although my child was wearing a red wristband indicating the diagnoses. I also confirmed it was written on the paperwork when I went to pick up the summer camp shirt. Finally, we arrive to the changing room to find two staff members and a Woodbridge police officer. The staff said my child barricaded themselves inside and they couldn't get in. Without even saying a word, I opened the un-locked door and looked at the staff, proving they had lied. I witnessed my child lying on the floor naked, white as a ghost, shivering in fear. My child put their hands over their ears and apologized to me repeatedly. My child said" I thought I did something wrong when they told me to get out the pool and I thought the cop was going to arrest me". It took me about 10 minutes to calm my child down. During the 10 minutes, I heard several knocks on the door from the supervisors urging us to leave. The officer also kept knocking on door asking if I wanted to get my child "committed". He also told me that I should have a better dialog with the staff because they are not properly equipped to handle "kids like this". As my child and I walk out of the pool area, children hounded from a distance saying, "What's wrong with that kid?" and "Get out of here!". As we continue to walk, we are approached by the staff and the officer. The staff stated that they are not equipped to "handle kids with these diagnoses" and would like a better dialog to better handle a situation like this. I reminded them that I sent emails explaining my child's diagnosis and I was assured he would be accommodated. My words fell on deaf ears and to protect my child from further scrutiny, we swiftly exited WCC. That night in bed, my child said," I thought I was going to jail, and I was in big trouble". I couldn't fathom sending my child back to WCC to suffer further fear and humiliation. So, the next morning, I spoke with a supervisor from WCC and explained why my child would not be returning. WCC only gave me a partial refund because "policies" protect them even if it is unfair. I was charged for a full week of attendance and the meal plan for that week as well. I wrote this very long review because the full story was necessary. I urge every parent and caregiver to be aware of my family's treatment for just one day in this camp. Every time we pass by WCC, my child closes their eyes and covers their ears. The lack of support, training, and the claims they did not know my child was autistic is beyond disbelief. WCC will assure you that they are equipped to accommodate your child with disorders, but at the end of the day its "Profit over People".

He obviously did not pay attention to our conversations and recommended my child for his program that's from 7:30-8:30 Monday through Friday. As a working parent, that meant I had to get up earlier to get my child there for the program, drive home and dash off to work. I was willing because my child was very interested and I was looking forward to joining this community and meeting people. On 8/3/26, we arrived at the metuchen location only to be told the practice was at the Edison location. We dashed there to try and be as on time as possible out of respect. Upon arrival to the correct location, I saw a couple of what appeared to be 20 year olds. NOT ONE PERSON EVEN SAID GOOD MORNING! There were no introductions. A man, who later turned out to be head coach Adam Soural, seemed bothered by my questions (where are the locker rooms and what should we do before this practice starts) and then told my child to get in the water. Again, nooooo introductions or even a second to let my child know he's in a safe, community based environment, what he can expect, what he will learn, nothing!!! Not one adult there offered anything to say my child is in good hands or that we are welcomed into this community. I thought for a moment, maybe it's me, but then another parent showed up, upset. He also was not told the correct location and informed me this type of attitude is to be expected from Adam. At the end, Adam let me know the program was not the right fit for my son and told me aquatics coordinator, dawn Willemsen, would reach out. Here we are two days later and I have heard nothing. Even after emailing and expressing my disappointment in the lack of community the program has. First impressions matter when it comes to leaving your child with "trusted adults" THIS IS NOT IT!!!!! I would give this place zero stars if I could.

So it started badly, as on the way in, I got yelled at profusely, and I mean really yelled at, by some old man telling me I was driving the wrong way through the parking lot - and he stood in my way to yell at me too. It wasn't well marked and was banal as nobody else was driving in the lot. Then when I got on with my cardio, the TV was staticky, and while the gym had some decent stuff and some fit-looking members, I have to say these are not great facilities and the space is a little cramped. They offer no towels, no hairdryer, and in general, not one of the best I've used. I'd give it a 4 if not for the fact that the TV, lack of towels, parking issues, and especially getting yelled at, all made me not enjoy my workout much.

They provided a complete bait-and-switch, trying to charge for every little thing, providing sub-par service, lacking follow-through, & the worst communication I've experienced with almost any company. To preface this story, we had never owned an in-ground pool, & were renting (starting in the winter), so we knew nothing about the pool that existed or what condition it was in. I contacted several pool companies to have them come out to look at the pool & let me know what we would need to do to open it, maintain it, & close it at the end of the season. We decided to go with Carmona because they said they could do everything I needed, including addressing some liner pulls, & even though they cost more than some other companies, I felt they sounded the best. They sold us the gold package which included opening, cleaning at opening, weekly services including chemicals, & closing/winterizing. It took about a month to open the pool since it needed a bit of treatment to get going (it was never opened last year by the previous owners). But they opened early (4/31) so that it would be good to go by Memorial Day. The pool was still not in good shape when they came out the Friday before the holiday weekend & they had to come back that Monday (Memorial Day) to follow-up on the treatment from the previous Friday, so we had to cancel our pool plans for Memorial Day Weekend. So, it took a little time to get up & running, but surely that would be the end of it, right? Through the month of June, the pool was "clean" according to the pool techs but was always cloudy. After repeatedly reaching out to the office, they finally communicated to the techs to bring the proper equipment with them when they came for our weekly service. So, we would be good for 4th of July Weekend, right? They came out for service on the Friday right before & within 24 hours the pool was green with a lot of algae/sediment on the bottom. I reached out to the office again to ask them about this issue. They said they would address the algae/sediment on the Friday after 4th of July & that they would need to use algaecide which would be an additional cost. We had now gotten to the point where we had bought a pool brush & vacuum & were doing much of this ourselves (an additional cost we didn't think we would have with the package purchased). I let them know that we had now cancelled our pool plans for both Memorial Day Weekend & the 4th of July Holiday Weekend & the pool turned green within less than 24 hours after their "service", so I didn't see why I should have to pay extra because they were delayed in following up. I asked if they could let me know what they were doing to address the repeated issues, if there was something else we could be doing (running the filter longer?), if we needed different equipment (upgrade the motor?), but it was like pulling teeth to get clear communication from the office & techs. It took until the end of August to finally get proper information about how & when to be running the filter. During all this time I had been inquiring about fixing the liner pulls & they were finally able to get someone to take care of them...starting at the price of $200, which was never discussed with us in the beginning, & I declined at that point since it was close to the end of the season. Now we're coming up on Labor Day Weekend, they've got it this time, right? Green pool once again leading into our Friday service prior to Labor Day Weekend. After that service, still green & no communication from the office or techs. We decided to try to salvage the holiday weekend ourselves & took a water sample to a different company. They immediately told us that the balance was off & recommended some products to address the situation. While we had to spend ~$110 on chemicals, we were able to balance & clear up our pool within 24 hours. What's more, the pool remained clear the remainder of the season until closing. Speaking of the closing, we had to do most of the work when it came to draining the pool to the appropriate level & we had to completely re-do the cover on the pool because the techs put it on loosely & didn't position the airbags (under the cover) properly at all. I also suspect that there were no chemicals added to properly winterize it. Through their length of service, most of the weekly visits lasted 10-12 minutes from the time that they pulled up to the time that they drove away. Any communication had to originate from us & took weeks for clarity. We noticed many times where the pool was checked for chemical balance, but rarely was anything added except for the initial shocking, the algaecide that was discussed above, & 2 chlorine tabs added to the skimmer basket weekly. Future customers beware.
