We needed work done on our old Pace Arrow, and an acquaintance strongly recommended this business. I gave a call and spoke to Ryan for a while. He was very courteous and knowledgeable and willing to answer our questions. I didn't feel rushed or condescended to, or treated like I was some ignorant RVer who knows nothing about my rig. The truth is, I *don't* know much about our old rig or its myriad workings. It didn't matter to Ryan; nor did it to Harold, whom I spoke with in a subsequent call. That was very important to me. I've had many dealings with mechanics of all stripes, and I can say categorically that most are asses. They'll talk down to you; and then, because you are ignorant about carburetors or fuel injection or seals or brakes or what-have-you, take great delight in ripping you off. That didn't happen with Harold and Ryan at Brookings Harbor RV. We made an appointment with them; they consulted with us for free (Harold actually came out to take a look at our rig and answer questions, free of charge!), and then, with the appointment, did a wonderful, efficient, and friendly job. We're very, very pleased with their professionalism and honesty. Businesses are like people. Most suck. Which makes the good ones stand out even more. When you find a good business--one whose owners and employees truly care for their customers or patrons, you hang on to them, and you recommend them. Brookings Harbor RV is one of those good businesses. We'll be calling them the very next time we need our old girl looked at.

We had the pleasure of stopping here on a whim (pun intended). At first, the signpost and name led me to think of a fantasy world Tavern or an Inn for weary travellers. Luckily, it was so much better. It was a fantasy realm unto itself. The owner and proprietor of this amazing establishment was working at the time. He was so kind and helpful, even allowing us to handle some of the more valuable, rare items in his collection. Not only was he courteous and professional, but a true fan of all things nerd. Even answering questions I had about things I've enjoyed for years and never learned myself. To say this man is a Jack-of-all-trades is an understatement. He is an artist, in several senses of the word. Sculpting, Drawing, Crafting, even painting, I wish I had an ounce of the talent this guy has, and to be so humble and kind. Inconceivable! After he discovered it needed a new drive, (three days after I gave it to him), he then kept it and my backup drive for almost two weeks. I ended up purchasing a new laptop online instead of repairing the older one. He did save most of the data on the old drive for me, and I appreciated that. He also charged me almost nothing for his services, but I still wasn't happy with the whole process. Communicating with him is a logistical nightmare. Everything goes through his convoluted communication system that is far more complicated than it needs to be, especially for a single, simple, old customer like me. Let me call you, or text you, and get a real person answer quickly. Don't make me go through a website, or use some online service for a simple question. Also, he does not have a store front or location you can visit, which is not a problem, but arranging to meet with him somewhere always seemed to be on his terms, and that's not convenient for the customer (not this customer anyway).
