Love this place! Casual atmosphere with great, fresh food! I had the Fresh Strawberry & Walnut Salad. Delicious! Grilled chicken & strawberries fresh off the farm! Candied walnuts, Applewood smoked bacon, and tomatoes over mixed greens with our house-made Berry Vinaigrette. Topped with your choice of cheese - I choose goat cheese. "Fresh ingredients, Better Pizza" For real. No, but seriously...it tastes like a homemade pizza you made at home ...if you had a clay brick oven to put it in!! I knew it was going to be a great meal when my partner ordered some crab dip and said it was 'the best he ever had' and the cut carrots and celery looked and tasted like they were freshly cut and not pre-cut and sitting in fridge for a week. The cheese tasted so fresh. The ice tea tasted fresh-brewed. They advertise most of their food is locally sourced and I believe it. Service was very friendly, the ambience is charming. It looks like a renovated barn with nice string lighting and a warm decor. Definitely a nice place to chill after work. We even had a rabbit by our window watching us eat. We can't wait to come back and try more on their menu (they have Bison burgers from Gunpowder farms guys!) or get some pizzas for take out. :) read more

I've lived in Parkton for decades and have seen this restaurant go from the Wagon Wheel to various eateries and I have to say the current owners have a wonderful winning combination! Here's my analysis of the meal: I had a hot ham and cheese sandwich. I'm not sure how you make ham taste that good. I had a hard time stopping when I got full. The French fries were special too. They must be sprinkled with crack or something. Jim's fish and chips were not only huge but delicious. You know I couldn't try them (I'm allergic to fish) but wow kind of good. Met a friend for lunch and this made a nice halfway point between my location and hers. Servers were very attentive, quick and polite. Food was good; nothing amazing but better than a chain restaurant. Portions were enormous! Maybe they don't do different sizes for lunch and dinner? The food is good and I never have complaints about the pizza. Tonight my friend and I went and we ordered the smores pizza. We were not informed it had peanuts and I am very allergic. Woodfire had no way to help during my reaction. They did not have benadryl or anything close. When we asked the waitress she said "there's a pharmacy next door, you could try that" and left. To top it off, I was charged for a thing I couldn't even eat. I will never be back and personally I think it's unacceptable to have employees who can't handle this situation or know their menu. Stumbled upon this place while driving down I-83. Delicious, diverse menu with something for everyone. 3 bean burger and bison burger got lots of compliments. Finally had to try this place after hearing so much about it. The place is cute and quaint, but has not changed much from before when it was Soup'r Natural. No complaints there. The food on the other hand was phenomenal. We had the Root Beer BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza, Buffalo Chicken Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza, and French fries as an appetizer. The fries were a great start and they were perfectly seasoned, so I was definitely looking forward to the pizza after that. They only come in one size, which is a fairly good size, and run on average $12-$16. The place is BYOB, which is convenient. While the service is nothing to rave about, Hereford needed a place like this; and it definitely fits the bill. read more

We went to Woodfire Kitchen for date night tonight and had a great experience. The food was incredible and our waitress, Sam, was fantastic. The gumbo is out of this world. A quaint little place with country charm and great woodfire pizza. I've been here twice now and everything has been good - service and food. I love the Greek pizza with feta cheese, spinach, black olives and chicken. My husband is a big fan of the Thai chicken pizza and the "Good Fella" pizza. Our friends tried the chicken bacon ranch, buffalo chicken and nacho pizzas which they really liked. Definitely putting WFK on my go-to food list! read more

This was my first time at the Woodfire Kitchen. My waitress Sarah was wonderful. Attentive but not intrusive. I had the corn and crab chowder - never had a better cup of soup. Followed by the Bison Burger with swiss cheese and mushrooms. Amazing flavor, the side salad was not your usual lettuce with lore lettuce. It was a great spring mix with tomatoes, cucumber, and onions. Thus restaurant is small, friendly and not over commercialized. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. I have had two terrible experiences with the manager, Dan. He finds a way to ruin a wonderful family meal with great food and otherwise good table service. He asked my family and I to leave while we still had plates of hot food that we were enjoying on the table. He stated that this was to be able to seat other customers but when we left there were no other patrons waiting. I found this behavior to be completely unacceptable. He offered to refund our bill and then took back the offer. Again, he showed unacceptable behavior from a manager. One star is too much for Dan. read more

I was in the area for work around lunch time with a coworker. This seemed to be the best option in the area, and we were glad we found it! The menu had good variety including a few vegetarian options. I ordered the falafel and my coworker got the turkey burger. Both were really good! Totally addicted to their Salads and burgers...the pizza smells amazing but I can't stray from what I know to be delicious. Everything is super fresh. Love the atmosphere - casual and cozy but business attire works too! My girls love the crab dip and desserts. Haven't found anything to displease us yet. We discovered this gem after biking the NCR Trail. We split the Pear and Goat Cheese Salad and each had the Salmon that was cooked to perfection on an iron skillet. Stumbled upon Woodfire Kitchen looking online for a place close to Phu'tok for family outing after summer camp end of session event last Friday night. They close at ten and I knew we were pushing it when my wife and I arrived in advance of the rest of our group at 9:30 and asked if it was too late for a party of 7; they graciously accommodated. Ordered onion rings and fried kale for starters. Our apps were a touch on the greasy side; but well prepared; accompanying sauces were excellent. I was the only one in our group that took to the kale; finishing all that was left after others had a perfunctory taste. Ordered plain cheese pizza for kids and a Margarita and a Sausage, Fig & Brie for adults. My initial impression that the Sausage, FIg and Brie pie was truly inspired food, was confirmed when Chef Craig visited our table to check on our dining experience, and shared that the flavor combination came to him in a dream! This prompted my brother-in-law who had avoided it to that point to give it a try; he ended up eating two slices. Finished with scoops of ice cream from Prigel Family Creamery in Glen Arm which was outstanding. What I originally intended to be a treat for niece and nephew turned out to be a real delight for the adults. It's a little pricey; but masterful preparations of locally sourced ingredients are worth every penny. I only wishI had noticed it was BYOB when I checked website; a nice bottle of wine the only thing that could have improved our experience. We met another couple here for dinner. It became one of our favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is rustic and very cozy. We had made reservations on a very busy night (school play, Sat. night). Despite their busy night they were able to accommodate us. When we showed up the place was to full capacity with our table ready. Our friend had their sausage, fig pizza and absolutely loved it. My husband and I each had burgers and they were fantastic. Plus they have gluten-free buns! Yay! My girlfriend had their brisket sandwich and it was the best she's ever had. Their brussel sprouts are fantastic and their cranberry vinaigrette for my salad was very delicious. Everything was fresh and superior. It was so good we ended up coming back the next night to celebrate my son's birthday and we all had our own special woodfire pizzas! (Oven is from Italy). We had a nice conversation with the owner who was very kind and resourceful. And our waitresses both nights were very accommodating:) read more

I remember this place as the Wagon Wheel from years ago. My father says that it has multiple owners but the current is the winner. The place as a cozy rustic feel and the food was good. Family friendly which is important to us since we have 3 kids undee 6. I enjoyed the crab cake sandwich and crab soup. The crab soup was a little bland for me, could have used more old bay, but the crab cake was top shelf. The service was Great! read more

We tried this restaurant two months ago. There have been several places around that have put in these gas fired ovens for pizza. We liked the restaurant, a little small but cute. The place was packed which is great to see. I walked around if you can call it that very small inside, I saw the kitchen where they prepped the pizza it looked like a lot of care and quality ingredients going into the pizza. Things looked very fresh and clean. When we got the pizza the taste was just not there. The sauce was flat with out much taste, the crust was not baked properly. Pizza crust should be just that crusty and it is not. It is soft and limp. I think the oven is not hot enough and things are not getting cooked properly. read more
