We LOVE Spargos! It is hands down the best restaurant in town. It has a great family atmosphere. Maggie (one of the owners) delivers excellent customer service. Most of the time she knows what we are going to order without us saying a word. She also makes excellent recommendations when we want to deviate from our "norm." This kind of personalized service keeps us coming back week after week. Since moving to Manchester 1.5 years ago we have become regulars sometimes eating there multiple times a week. They have great weekly specials, i.e. all you can eat ribs and shrimp on Monday's and Tuesday's and all you can eat crabs in the summer. Pricing is appropriate for what you receive. We've never had a meal we didn't like! It's not only a restaurant; but there's a private party space, with a sound proof door, in the back of the restaurant and a bar downstairs. The restaurant stays open late even on the weekdays. We're extremely happy to have this restaurant right down the road from our home. We will be regulars as long as we continue to live in the area- and we have no intention of leaving this wonderful town. read more

Spargos offers a Monday and Tuesday night special of All You Can Eat Ribs and Shrimp for $13.99 that's fantastic! The shrimp have a nice crunch to them, never soggy and are seasoned well with Old Bay. The ribs are always tender and tasty. In my opinion they have the BEST BURGERS in Carroll County! They make their own patties and the beef has a wonderful flavor, of generous size and comes on a quality Kaiser roll. Their French fries are amazing with a nice crispy texture. We have enjoyed the food and hospitality since moving to the area 13 years ago. Breakfast, lunch or dinner they have never disappointed. Crabs are the best we've had other than fresh off of the bay! While I was just happy to be seated, the rest of our party grew restless and it apparently took 55 minutes from the time we entered to place our order. Having a one year old with us, this made it extremely difficult. It was very busy, however, it would've been nice to have the breadsticks and salad earlier to keep the kids happy. It was over an hour since we entered the restaurant before we could give them anything. We were able to leave after 2.5 hours, which was just very long with small children. No one in a position of power seemed to care about all the hiccups. No one apologized for anything being late or that we had to wait so long with a reservation. The food was good, but honestly, Olive Garden tasted better. Finally, they tack on a 3% additional charge to us for using our credit card. It wasn't mentioned, just tacked on at the end. I know smaller businesses sometimes can't absorb that cost, but they have always mentioned it in the past. I found that in poor taste. I will not be back in the future and I was very disappointed in how little regard there was for us as customers.
