How could I NOT go into this store!? Looks-wise it's just like the standard HomeGoods we're used to in the States... except its bigger and better. And really roomy. Sometimes these types of stores are so packed you can barely move around - not this location. Set in a lower level/basement like space it felt modern and comfortable. Walking in - I instantly wished I had brought an extra duffle bag. Between the aisles of pillows, the kitchen/dining section, and the picture frames - I was in heaven. Fortunately for Hubs they also have tons of furniture, so he was able to find a {super cute} chair up front to relax in while I wandered. B/c my luggage could not accommodate all that I had seen I settled on a really beautiful picture frame to commemorate our visit to Toronto. Check out was super easy - seeing as how they had several cashiers available. And my frame, after $$ conversion was only $7. Yay for HomeSense!

Also helped me to see if I can find some cushions the patio bench seat. Service was excellent for Toronto retail. I didn't catch her name but she helped me get an estimate for what the delivery fee would be and I had the option to take 2 chairs home and come pick up the rest another day. Part 2 of my pick up, she recognized me and helped me take the dining table out of its box so I can fit it in my car and carry it out easier. She carried all the way outside of the store. She's petite and I wasn't expecting her to help me right out the door and she did! I can't say the same happens at other stores even if it's someone taller stronger, they may not help carry out something so willingly. Thanks for the great shopping experience!

During my move, I worked close to their old location on Ossington, and drew so much inspiration from their aesthetic during my lunch breaks. I bought everything from mirrors to picture frames to dishes to adorable trinkets to bath towels. I even painted my new bedroom the exact same Benjamin Moore green that they had in their storefront window. The space of their newer location on Dundas is wonderful (aka much more room for cute things). Highly recommend. Everyone is always friendly and helpful as well.

When setting up my new apartment, I visited the store in Leaside on Wicksteed Avenue and Fernanda Salomao Costa helped me choose the most beautiful black out sea green drapes and the Anola Area Rug for my living room area. Fernanda is a person I will go back to see and have purchased many other items from her since we met. Fernanda is pleasant and efficient. The suggestions she made were excellent and I appreciate the time she took with me to choose the right pieces for my decor. She is the reason I will return to Urban Barn ! Thank you, Jude

I avoided this chain for the longest time because of the word "barn". After all, I didn't move to…read moreToronto so I could pretend to live in the middle of nowhere. Descriptions like "rustic" or "country living" make me uneasy. Fortunately, Urban Barn is decidedly modern, free of farmyard smells, and boasts great customer service. A knowledgeable and experienced staff member, Helen, helped us navigate the mysterious and unstable world of sofa choices. Who knew there were so many details to consider in the purchase process? Helen at Urban Barn does. She's mastered an expert line of questioning that can lead you from couch confusion to confidence. Arm height, length, tufted or non-tufted, leather or textile, pet/child friendly, budget conscious, straight-backed or tilted, and level of cushioning support...you'll need to consider these aspects (and a few more) before narrowing down your choices. Fortunately, the education process requires a lot of sitting down, relaxing, and putting your feet up, which is really the ideal way to make an important life decision. I will definitely be back here. The product quality and prices are quite good overall and I highly recommend you visit - this is one shopping destination that won't leave you tired or on your feet for very long!
