I added on packing paper to the order 3 days after placing it. 1) When the order arrived I found a bug in the bubble wrap. 2) I was asked to delay my pickup date, which I did even though tiny apartments in Chicago don't leave much room for storing large plastic tubs and it really messed with my ability to properly move in and decorate. 3) On pickup day the driver didn't want to take the elevator upstairs to pickup the boxes so I had to bring them down to the ground floor myself. On their website picking up boxes is included in the price. There were no stairs for him to navigate at all so there really wasn't an excuse for this. 4) A month after placing (and being charged for) my order I received a receipt for an additional charge. I called multiple times to figure out what the charge was for but no one ever answered the phone. I even responded to the text they sent but received no response. I did some math to figure out it was for the packing paper that I guess they forgot to charge for. This last issue is what really made me write this review. To go around charging people's card and not telling them what for is crazy. Not a horrible experience but I'll probably try another company next time.

But here comes Hi Tech Builders Dor Inc and I was surprised that Dorin was happy to come out and look to see the project. He came on time for our free estimate, very professional and very knowledgeable. He could see our mistakes right away but was so graceful about it and reassured us that it wasn't too bad and our mistakes could be fixed. He promised us an estimate right away, and literally sent it within 48 hours! It was detailed with the work scope, and pricing was very clear. We booked it on the spot and he showed up each of the 3 day job on time and worked the full day. He was extremely professional, kind, and walked us through what he was doing and made sure we were aware of costs to fix our mistakes. It felt too good to be true but I will say, it wasn't. The end result is absolutely amazing and I'm in love. Pricing was honest and fair, quality surpassed my hopes and expectations, and additionally, Dorin went ABOVE AND BEYOND, and took an entire cabinet and leveled it for me and fixed the corner of my laminate countertop that I couldn't get straight or flush with the other side. I highly recommend Dorin and his team and will hire him for all my future projects.
