Things have gone down the last couple of times that I have used Woodland. Last year I took my 2 Yorkies there to find out that beds were no longer offered in the regular rooms, so this year I reserved a Presidential Suite. I called the day before to reconfirm that we had the Presidential Suite reserved for Thursday-Sunday. We arrived with our 2 Yorkies & the Presidential Suite was not ready. Nothing against the lady that was there working because unfortunately, Burt had not told her that we were coming. She took about 10 minutes & got it ready, but there was nothing Presidential about it. Yes, it was a slightly larger room, but still no bed & no TV. I was not happy, but I could deal with that as long as I could see my "furbies". Well, guess what? No webcam. The young lady contacted Burt to advise him of the situation, but he did not make an effort to contact me. It seems that nothing on the website is true & no discount was offered. The fenced play area apparently is no longer used because it has grown up. Unfortunately, I will not be using Woodland again. read more

This is a great place. Not only was it the best cost effective option that we found, but the owner is absolutely wonderful. Our dogs were so happy and we were able to check in with them via webcam while we were away. They also received a complimentary bath and we had their nails trimmed as well and he did a wonderful job. Even though it's a little out of the way for us, it's well worth the 15 minute drive knowing that the owner will take care of our dogs as well as we do. read more

Not for cats!!! We arranged with the owner to board our two cats. He said they'd probably have the large cat space to themselves. We arrived with cats and supplies in tow (bring your own food...) ready to settle them in and get on the road. Owner was not there. The worker seemed confused but took us up to the cat room where there was a cat. He said to unpack them. What? With a strange angry cat and one cat box and one water bowl for the three of them? The worker was not to blame but clearly the owner isn't interested in cats and is quite unprofessional. We had to scramble to find somewhere else to board them at the last minute. A great place! This was our first time boarding our dog and we were very comfortable leaving him in the care of Bert and his great facility over the weekend. The webcams were a plus and gave us that extra bit of comfort. We are glad that we found our new "go-to" pet resort in town. read more
