We ordered from here again for delivery. I again ordered the samosas which now include three with an order instead of two. They are really excellent here, they're large and generously stuffed with delicious filling. I wouldn't order from here without throwing in an order for these bad boys. I also ordered the dal makhani and sag paneer which were both on the thicker side and very tasty. I didn't realize I was being adventurous when requesting them both "medium" spicy but holy shit my white ass is not accustomed to what Woodlands considers "medium" spiciness. I wouldn't want to hazard to guess what the "hot" or "very hot" versions are like. I'm having abdominal cramping at just the thought. We have been to this place few times and we always felt ignored. Last time we went the server sit us but never came back to take our order. We initially thought he was busy but after 30 minutes of waiting He DIDNT come to take order and was standing on the front desk. Do not know how long it's been open but everything was good. The spinach/onion pakoda was like a cross between onion rings and ... fried calamari (only in looks). The paneer tikka was a really nice cubed grill tandoori cheese and the mint chutney. Not really crunchy but a nice grilled. And the methi mutter paneer was awesome especially with the garlic nann. Ok, don't write off this only vegetarian Indian restaurant. We called to see what time they were closing in 30 minutes and the young lady (Priti) on the phone was super nice and said come on over, we will be here. Once we got there we were seated promptly by Chetan V our waiter! He was great, made some recommendations for appetizers, onion palak bhujas, OMG DELISH!!!! The tamerine and mint chutneys sooo good. My husband and I ordered dosas...all I can say is if I could give them 10 stars I would. The food was perfectly seasoned and dare I say maybe better than homemade. Great service! I highly recommend the Tandoori Soya Tikka. Presented in an unusual heavy, wooden and narrow dish. Dipping sauce was moderately spicy. Add garlic naan and pickle. OMG! Absolutely love it and will be back for more. Tables and chairs simple but very clean. read more

My comments: Food: Some of the south india dishes like Dosa,Idli sambhar are really great. Indo Chinese and north indian food not as expected. I would go here for just the South indian food. When t comes to service- The staff is really rude especially the guy with hat . First of all he was rude when i asked for take out boxe,he had the boxes with lid lying on the floor which he gave me.When i pointed him that it was on floor and give me another one he just threw the box and lid in the area with anger. i usually do not make a huge issue when food is not good, but today's experience with Woodlands Westboro is beyond comprehension. We ordered take out. The Naan they gave were frozen naans you get from Indian stores. The chole seems like frozen one from ready made frozen food as well. They missed one sabji. When I called they said that they can refund the money for the naans and accepted that they do not make Naans anymore in the restaurant. I would recommend Woodlands for all the good reasons, location as I don't like to travel to Boston, food, hygiene, taste ,great staff and servers. I am not a vegetarian but this is my first go to place in MA the day I want to have a good Paneer dish, their Panner is soft and silky which totally melts in your mouth. What I really like is all the gravies are pretty light, it gives an Indian taste with all spices but not overpowers the natural taste of veggies. The best South Indian restaurant in the Boston area! Loved their Mysore Masala Dosa, Rava Masala Dosa and Spring Dosa. I would skip over their Indo-Chinese appetizers as they are disappointing but the South Indian food is as good as it gets! Highly recommend this place! read more
