Tracy came over to our house for a consultation and developed a plan to remove the wall between the dining room and kitchen, install a bar/counter, and open up a window into the living room. He laid out a plan to completely reconfigure the kitchen by moving the stove, sink, and fridge to a more ideal configuration and double the amount of cabinet space and counter space. He demoed the space, prepped the walls for cabinets, installed beautiful tile flooring and developed a solution for the ceiling transition (where the wall previously was). The finished space was amazing. It completely changed the first impressions of our home, and created a space perfect for cooking, conversing, hosting, and of course eating. Tracy was wonderful to work with, quick to respond, creative at solving problems, and true to his word. Project 2: Finished my basement, framed in walls, created five separate spaces (bedroom, living room, storage room, bathroom, and laundry room) I bought a new house with a mostly unfinished basement. We gutted what was down there and Tracy helped lay out a plan to maximize the space. He then framed the walls and helped me develop the plan and product list for lighting, electrical, drywall, and floor. He helped me identify projects that I could do on my own to save me money, and prioritized aspects of the project that would be too difficult or time-consuming for me. This project transformed our basement into a walkout basement and doubled our non-bedroom living space.

The previous owners had dogs, which naturally means scratches and gouges. We thought it would be a great idea to get them sanded and refinished before moving in furniture. I tried calling 6 companies in the Mansfield, Mt. Vernon, Columbus area. None of them would answer the phone or return the call. Through a family friend, we obtained the name and number for JC's Floor Sanding and Refinishing. We gave them a call, on a weekend, and Jack answered the phone. He suggested we go look at the project, which we did the same day! Jack provided a price that we thought was extremely competitive (comparing it to other sanding/refinishing plus repair projects in our past). A week later, JC's began the project. Here is the really cool part. Daily, we received updates from Jack and the crew. We didn't ask for them, they just provided them. So far, we're experiencing customer service at it's best! When is the last time your contractor updated you daily without you asking or demanding it? Now you see my point!! About a week and a half after the project started, they were finished. This encompassed the entire top floor of the house, which is probably close to 1,500 sq. feet. The finished project looks great and we're extremely pleased with the craftsmanship, the price, and the customer service. To top all of this off, Jack had completed the sanding and coating of the floors on the original installation 15 years prior! Who would ever think that?!?! When he finished, the floors as wonderful as his completed project pictures from 15 years earlier. Now the big question - Would we hire them again or recommend? ABSOLUTELY!! JC's is a contracting company that understands how to do their work (I know that sounds weird...but...), understands customer service, and actually will answer the phone when you call. He built a lower wall to enclose the back patio. Eventually it will be screened in. He reset my exterior doors that previously I had to jiggle to close. Other subcontractors who worked for me commented on the quality. He left my job site cleaner than he found it and was always polite and kept me up to date on progress.
