We have been using Woods for around 7 years for our property outside of Mt. Shasta, which has a main house and multiple structures. They have a green product that is safe for pets and people that they use around the perimeter of our buildings to keep the ants from pouring in, which they were before. We also tend to get loads of wasps, which we like to keep away from the houses, and sometimes need help with mice. Woods Pest Control of Redding took over for our local exterminator service when they closed. I have to applaud Woods for their smooth transition and their empathic attention to details that might have been relevant to me both during the transition and thereafter. The entire staff went out of their way to help me understand precisely what their service entailed and how and why the plan for mouse control I asked for would most effectively work as they planned to approach it. Anthony has been my main tech. He has gone above and beyond to see to it my questions are answered and helps me anticipate needs I might have. He is gracious, generous and exceedingly polite. And, he always smiles his greeting and checks with me about leave taking. In the last year, I had some major exterior work done on my house. The worker and myself were alarmed to find that wasps were nesting in rotted decorative cedar shingles that had to come down. This was a messy and -- for the worker -- potentially risky task. Anthony inspected the work site in advance and made sure that the wasp spraying happened days in advance of the demolition -- as he correctly surmised when the wasps would be most effected by the spray procedure -- and be the least apt to become aggressive. Thanks to his knowledge and then his accommodating our schedule, the tear-down went smoothly and no one was stung. Other times, Anthony skills at 'thinking ahead' have helped stave off more extensive and costly eradication of critters (in this case, I'm referring to an invasion of ants). He made quick work of eliminating what could have been a longstanding problem that would have required repeated attention. Specifically, his 'Eagle Eye' followed these big stinging ants up a nearby tree -- and eradication began at their nest in that tree. I am grateful to Anthony for his intelligent approach to his tasks. And, I am most pleased that he keeps me in the loop and 'teaches' me the basics. After living with ants every season and trying to get rid of them myself for years, I finally called Woods Pest Control. The technician, James, was prompt in coming as scheduled, and very polite and courteous. He applied bait in the house in appropriate places and treated the exterior of the house as well. My only concern is that he had to be reminded that ants had been seen in multiple rooms in the house, but once he was told, he was more than happy to treat them. All I asked for was is they service my city. That was all. I never answered back to the answer because I wasn't ready. All the sudden some random man shows up at my door and my son, who knows better, but clearly lost all sense of reason, answers the door and this random guy mark is there saying he wants to talk to me. Turns our it's a guy from this place that I did not make an appointment with nor ever ask to come here. So be careful, because all you have to do is ask a simple question and then they are at yours door a few days later without you even wanting them to randomly show up. AMAZINGLY unprofessional and down right creepy. Come to my house again and I will call the cops! read more

After three years of drought and warmer than usual winters in southern Siskiyou county, the local rodent population last summer seemed to explode. Woods Pest Control knowledgeable and friendly technicians arrived almost immediately to assess the rodent problem, then made suggestions on ways to eliminate rodent access to my building. When I would call the office to let the tech know there were rodents in their traps, the Woods Pest Control staff were very friendly and efficient passing on this information. The tech would arrive the same day and clean then reset the traps. They were willing to try all available methods to eliminate the rodents. I was impressed that the techs would make the effort to find a time to meet for a service call that was convenient for me. The two technicians that worked on my rodent problem were friendly, professional and experienced.
