I recently quit my job here due to the incredibly poor management. From the very start, it was clear that the management team had no respect for their employees. They consistently ignored concerns and offered no support or guidance and when they did it was nothing but empty and false promises. When the previous deli manager was touching employees inappropriately, saying and doing inappropriate things and constantly being a bully but nothing was done no matter how many complaints were made or how many people quit because of her. It was clear they only cared about sales and not the integrity and hospitality they so preach about. The work environment was toxic, and it was evident that they didn't value their staff. It was clear that they had no regard for employee well-being and frequently used intimidation tactics. This kind of toxic management is detrimental to both morale and productivity. In my 6 month employment, in just the bakery/deli alone, at least 11 employees have quit within a week due to treatment from management and how they talk to them. They also fail to separate personal life and work life and they let their home life issues affect how they treat their staff at work, and due to that it is a direct effect of their treatment. At one point it had gotten so bad the whole deli decided to plan a walk out to show we will not put up with this negativity treatment and abuse of power. They cheer on the slackers and the workers who barely show up and show out, and absolutely disregard those who work super hard to make sure their business is running good and well. We were constantly over worked on the busiest weekends with nothing but three employees, half our product, and many other things. But then over schedule people on the slowest of slow days and complain they "aren't working". when in reality you're doing five people's jobs that weren't done but fail to notice that. That one second we have to catch a breath they're on us like we're like we aren't working our butts off to please everyone in a timely manner. than have times were i was moving so fast and doing so many things at once that i've lost my breath, gotten lightheaded, and dehydrated amongst other things. Not to mention they fail to get on to the workers that do not wash their hands, wear gloves, change their gloves, those who cross contaminate. Those are the people that could seriously hurt someone. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a respectful and supportive workplace or shopping place. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere and shop elsewhere. read more

Disgusting! Went here because it was convenient to the place we were staying in town. The place was run down and there was a lack of service personnel. Assistant manager is horrible and unprofessional. She denied my dad when he went to purchase alcohol because I (22) was with him and she demanded to see my ID- that wasn't with me or in the car. It was completely unnecessary and she was extremely rude towards us. This wasn't the first time there was a situation with her involving my family, and we live in a different state...Get a better manager woods. read more

Terrible service with horrible cashiers. I walked in with my daughter and bought groceries but because I was buying alcohol and my daughter helped put it on the conveyer belt, the worker tells me " I don't know protocol I don't think she's over 21". Shes obviously not drinking it. They told me they couldn't sell me anything since she wasn't over 21?! Sad to see how backwards rules have gotten. We were not allowed to buy anything we got. Can't train their workers in basic common sense and wasted my time as a customer. I hope this place closes. This rule changes and I'm happy i did not waste my money. No thank you! I am here from out of town and this was close to my hotel. I can definitely say, it's not the lack of selection, or higher than whole foods prices, it's the staff. Not helpful, rude, and just an overall lack of care. When I was in here the isles were dirty, shelves were wrecked, and the staff was more so standing around. When asking where I would find dried fruit, and a few other things, I was literally given the following...."Uggggghhhhhh, I don't think we got that, but not positive"....I want to preface this with crossed arms, and a point. Really? I understand working at a supermarket maybe isn't a dream job, but if you are going to cash the checks, then do the work. I would suggest trying any other supermarket or grocery store over these guys. I don't believe I caught them on an off day, I think it's a culture around the store with the staff. This could be a hint when looking at the parking lot and it not having many cars. Maybe locals already caught on. Anyways, if you do go, hopefully you'll have a better experience than me! read more

My morning started off AWFUL!!!! Three different places and all had cold and old coffee. I went to woods to get some. Same thing. HOWEVER!!!!! Two employees stepped up INSTANTLY and made new coffee. There was a mishap with their machine but again, they fixed it quick and gave my my cup as soon as they could! Everyone I dealt with there was phenomenal and super friendly! Idk about the cost of living here, but back in IL it's horrible. Woods was cheap compared to what I'm use to (yes I bought more than coffee) what normally would've been like $75 at my store in IL ended up only being about $45 read more

We visited Lake Ozark for 2 weeks. We used Woods for all of our groceries. We did curbside pickup which we greatly appreciated being offered due to Covid 19. We were able to get everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay here, plus, felt safe while doing it. Although selection is better in the supermarkets of larger cities, it seemed excellent for this area. The staff is really friendly as well. I highly recommend it. read more

I've been to three of their locations, Eldon, Lake Ozark and Osage Beach same at all of them. They have a lousy produce section. There is poor selection and what is to select from often isn't fresh. If fresh produce is your goal than try Hy-Vee, Gerbes or Dierbergs! read more

I frequent the Lake Ozark store almost daily and in December of 2018, the had an issue with their POS system it charged me twice, they said that it would be taken care of, 3 months later nothing happened, Contacted my credit card company and after the dispute they said the same charge at the same time for the same amount was ligament and lied to them. Just be aware of how many times that may have happened to other. My next move will be the news media!! read more
