It's two days before Thanksgiving and I have a huge grocery list for probably $300 to $400. But as I'm shopping for the turkey they only offer birds in the 18-20 lb range. I'm deep frying a turkey! Nobody can fry an 18 lb turkey??? So all of us fryers must take our business to Walmart? I abandoned my cart and drove to Walmart. Very frustrating I can't patronize my local grocery store. A full service supermarket with tremendous selection. Add that a clean modern facility and you have a great place to shop.

Ok, so I drive to osage beach for big shopping trips. But Woods is where we go for quick trips. Sometimes they have what I want and sometimes it's too exotic for them. But they will do their best to get it if I want on a regular basis. Bought a fruit tray and it was fermented. The bag of salad was brown by the time we got back to our rental 10 minutes away. The head of lettuce looked bad after I peeled back the first layer. The chicken thighs smelled so bad that I could still smell them an hour after I threw them in the freezer to get rid of the smell. The checkout process took at least 15 minutes. We are returning today to take all of this spoiled food back. Worst grocery experience ever! read more

I couldn't get service to check-in and am going back on my memory right now but I'm 90% sure this is the Woods I went to. First off, it's pretty nice. Huge parking lot and awesome cart barriers in the lot. Seriously, those things could take out a car. They had massive $2 watermelons outside with novelty Lake of the Ozarks items. Win, win if you ask me! The inside is very clean and up to date. They have an amazing selection of pre-made but not pre-cooked items ready for the grill including steak and bacon wrapped jalapeños. They don't have fresh herbs like mint or anything like that but you can find a cheap extract version. Also, they have a massive grill section. If you're at the lake that's all you need anyways...meat and booze. read more

Not impressed with you summer help. Asked for chicken, dark meat only. Received white meat. Then asked for chicken tenders and that was difficult. Had to talk to the manager to get my tenders. Train you help or I will quit shopping here. read more

Great place for groceries on the west side. Was a little thin this past Saturday morning with all the self serve cases around the salad bar empty, but hey they had wings hot and ready to go. read more

Check the produce well as they repackage as things age. Also check expiration dates as turnover is not highh on some products. Although it is handy and they are close, we usually head to something more reliable and fresher. The ribs that they cook in the parking lot are excellent though. read more

A new store was build up the road about 3 miles. It is now a huge store and the intersection of Highway T and 5, west side of the road.

They have a lot of stuff here to choose from. Plenty of selection from the deli department. Produce is pretty good as well as different selections of wines, liquors, etc. The issue is checking out. Cashiers are very friendly but only one or two registers are open. Sometimes express is not open and you have to join another register that has a long line even with two items . Most grocery stores around here do not have this issue. On the flip side they have blocks of ice for sale. This last much longer in a cooler even outside for the entire day. read more

I come to this store every time we visit out lake house as it is close to us .. The only real problem I have with it is the Deli ..The ladies who work there invariably look the other way when they can see me standing there wanting to be helped .. They actually walked past me with eyes averted and swept the floor or some other task that could surely wait .. This isnt just one time ..It is most of the time .. They need much better customer service in my opinion..Store is very nice .. great liquor supply .. Everything you need... read more
