Woodstock Antique & Consignment, which is actually in Acworth, sits at the corner Bells Ferry and Highway 92 in a small shopping plaza. They have a small outdoor area at the front of the store where you can get doors, windows, larger signs, metal letters, etc...but it's when you walk inside that the endless supply of antiques, furniture, art, tchotchkes and a healthy variety of other vintage items and finds! I will say that I was impressed with the variety of actual antiques and vintage items. Several stores around the city simply have a large amount of old and aged goods, but here you can tell that many of the items are for collections and lovers of the items. I mean, there are a few stalls that picked up a container of old toys and art, and think they can sell it for 4 times it's worth...but for the most part it is a good assortment of good items. The inside is well laid and mapped out with clearly defined and directionally flowing aisles along with a few additional sections in the back of the store and there is even a classroom and a public space for events! We wandered around the store for a while and found several items we would be happy with. Prices are great in some areas and unreasonable in others. We found smaller items that were priced too high, but then furniture that was amazingly priced. You just to have to be willing to really look at everything around the store to find that perfectly priced piece! Service was good. The ladies behind the counter were friendly and welcoming, and the gentleman that was on the floor was friendly as well. I've passed by this place so many times over the years but for whatever reason have never popped in...Well have no fear Antiquing Asian is Here! As soon as you walk you someone greet you and offers to help you find stuff. I like that. Not everyone appreciates this kind of customer service but I do. I answered that I collect typewriters and the nice lady-sorry I forgot her name...maybe Gail, Gladys, Gloria... Well they had several. They had Hermes, Smith Corona, Royal, etc. all good stuff. They also had plenty of film cameras and a few rotary phone. The store is divided into booths so depending on the seller you can get anything from old brooches to hand made dollies to old LPs. As for prices I think 90% of the items were prices just right. For example Sarah Conventry's brooches usually go between $25-$50 for the most part. Please be very very careful buying stuff from this place. I made a purchase here and turns out it was infested with roaches. When I contacted them to let them know, they were completely rude and treated me like garbage. I imagine that the entire place has an infestation. read more

On a recent visit with family in Canton, my sister and I went shopping at several antique stores. On one day, we spent an afternoon at Woodstock Antiques. And with a store this large, you can spend an afternoon looking at the vast selection of antiques and collectables. There are rooms upon rooms filled with items that are antique and/or collectable. If you are looking for antique furniture, such as dressers, cabinets, chairs and tables, or a pie safe for the kitchen, this is a place that I suggest. And if you are a collector of depression glassware, china, or even old cameras, you can find it here. You can even get a can of Billy Beer if you look carefully. And I can honestly say you will come across an item that will remind you of your grandfather or grandmother. I found quite a few items that I have from my mother and father, and there were also items I found that they had at one time, only to disappear either by theft or neglect. One room was dedicated to rock-n-roll music. Old vinyl of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and disco from the 70s' are available. Kiss and Led Zeppelin. Yeah, it's here. And Elvis is in the building! All over the building! On LIFE magazines, decanters, statues, photos, albums.... Betty Boop and Marilyn are here to. You just have to look! Woodstock Antiques also has a great selection of jewelry and watches. There is also a section of old coins for sale. If there is something you are looking for, Woodstock Antiques would most likely have it. Just give them a call at 678-445-7861. They are more than helpful at finding something. So if you want to spend an afternoon getting nostalgic, come in and grab a cup of coffee and look around. And maybe you can find something for the relative who collects Coca-Cola products. Or buy yourself that Matchbox car to replace the one you lost when you were a kid. read more

With this store the staff appears sweet and friendly but if you do not know what you are talking about as far as antiques go.... many of them will completely take advantage of you. I purchased some sterling silver flatware from a man named Ben which I had negotiated the price for each piece. After paying for the flatware... I had gotten into my car and was on my way home when I realized that I was charged for an extra piece of flatware that I was not given. Upon returning to the store... I asked to speak with Ben... and a lady approached me and firmly said "ALL SALES FINAL" and I hadn't been out the store 10 minutes from time of purchase. No returns... no store credit.. nothing... I was absolutely shocked by how they went from so friendly to so heartless in no time flat. I will never purchase from that store again. read more

Unethical business practices used here. My wife and I were quoted a price for a piece, then just prior to picking it up, the owner called to say they had decided not to sell it. This is a first, having to deal with an owner who operates more like a greedy scavenger rather than a professional antiques dealer. If they aren't squeezing the last penny out of you with much higher than average prices, they'll decide to simply refuse to sell the piece and mark it up again. Ethical? Hardly. This is a wonderful antique mall with so many things! It is decorated BEAUTIFULLY for Christmas right now, and if you are coming in out of the cold..there is hot coffee for the customers. So many quaint touches that make it feel so charming. The real reason for my review however, is to describe the level of service I received this week when shopping there for Christmas gifts. I went into the store one afternoon and found a few things I wanted to buy. One of the items was a large piece of furniture that required my husbands' muscles, vehicle and checkbook. Unaware of the closing time, I came back the next day with my family to find that the store had just closed ten minutes earlier. I was so disappointed because it was the only time before Christmas we could all come there together. I hung my head, figured it was a lost cause and started to leave when a kind woman greeted us at the locked door and agreed to reopen so that we could make the purchase. It would be a happy story if it ended right there...but it gets even better. The piece was larger than my husband expected and required a return trip with the seat removed from the vehicle, so we paid for the item and they held it for 2 days. When we returned, I explained to the folks at the desk that I was interested in a mirror to accompany the item. One of the ladies explained that she had a piece that might work that would be available next week. She offered to find out the paint colors from the artist who finished the piece I purchased, and paint it to match. I was very impressed with their efforts to help me to make my daughters' Christmas special. Every person I met at that store was truly making an effort to help me find what I was looking for and went above and beyond the call of duty. read more
