Especially the RN's who work Labor & Delivery) The campground was covered in snow (February) and so I cannot comment about the showers/restrooms/laundromat, etc. as these services are not available in the winter. However, this just means more available spaces to park or camp (they have sites for tents, Campers, big 5th wheels with slide-outs and huge motor coaches they have new 50amp sites for with easy pull in access! Sites are big enough and signage is good. The one thing I would suggest is during the summer, they need to somehow mark the driving pathways so they can easily be distinguished from campsites when snowfall covers the ground. We accidentally drove thru some tent sites getting to our reserved 30amp space in the very back of the campground. No harm done - but my sweet hubby who was driving in was getting quite grumpy how awkward it was to park - only to later realize that if we would have followed the roadway, it would've made a lot more sense and been so much easier! Once we parked, Water and Electric hook ups were quite easy, and each site had a picnic table with plenty of room for parking we even had room at our site for an extra car to park. We thought we would only be there a couple of nights, but due to complications with the birth we ended up having to stay more nights and even asked for a late checkout, and both needs were met by office staff with such kindness and understanding. By the way, definitely make some time to shop around the store. Besides supporting your local community businesses, they have some excellent products for a VERY tasty charcuterie board, light lunch and snacks to take back to your campsite or pack up to go on a hike! My last comment is about marking your GPS coordinates if you are on any site at the back (closest to the brick wall) where the new 50amp and 30amp sites are. Apple Maps, Google Maps & Waze will all mark correct GPS coordinates, however, when you switch to an address, it will tell you that you are on the next street over as if you are one of the apartments on the other side, of the brick wall. In fact, even the sites across from our not up against the brick wall, still show an address using the street name "Pico Del Monte Circle" on the other side of the brick wall where the apartments are located. This is pretty important if you are using your location finder to give somebody else directions to where you are or using apps like Instacart or DoorDash. I did use DoorDash while we were there and the driver had to call and I had to explain how to get into the campground.. this has nothing to do with Woody Mountain Campground and everything to do with the map situation. I did report it to Apple and Google. Hopefully it will get fixed but as of today, i see that has not been fixed. (may 2026)

(Keep in mind there is a fee for a second vehicle.) Not to far from the restroom ( the cleanest restroom there is) the host really take care of the place, has a facet for cleaning or getting water ( just don't wash your dishes there, not allow) Be ware if ya'll are heading in the summer, there was a few yellowjacket and wasp, we brought a trap to prevent getting strung, didn't get strung but get one if you needed. There were a couple of flies, friend got a fly trapper too so took care of that. When we went, there weren't mosquitos but again, we got a spray and sprayed just in case. I had t-mobile and there wasn't any signal, but if you drive out of the campground, you get signal right away. The site was pretty decent, you can put two tents and have a lot of room, fire pit was pretty deep, a nice concrete picnic table and trees all around; which you can bring a hammock and tied around the truck. Across of the site was the Sunset Crater Visitor Center that leads you to the Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument, worth the drive and visit, there's a few view spots that you can bring food to have a picture and the views are just spectacular. This site is about an hour and forty-five minutes away from the Grand Canyon, about thirty minutes away from Flagstaff for your grocery needs. They don't have showers here but I recommend ya'll to shower at Little America Travel Center (2515 East Butler Ave, Flagstaff, AZ 86004) showers were only $15.00 (tax included) and they have a freaking bathtub with a separate shower. You have an hour to take a shower or bath, they provide with one towel, hand towel and a mat towel. Especially after a long day at the Grand Canyon, a much needed shower that last more than thirty minutes is great. I hope this reviews helps to anyone that is planning a trip there.

Apparently a few years ago you could drive in, but just a note, the road was closed when we got there and we had to hike to the meadows (it was worth it). Best time to go is in the fall. Lots of aspens. You can backpack in and camp (I believe completely for free). Loved it.

Lockett Meadow is just outside of the town of Flagstaff at the base of the San Francisco Peaks. The peaks themselves are the remains of an extinct volcano. There is a small campground and many dispersed sites at Lockett Meadow that offers nice scenic views of the San Francisco Peaks. The road itself to Inner Basin Trailhead sucks. It is narrow and bumpy. Be extra careful driving up this road as it barely has room for one car. The road closes up in the winter season. The parking lot holds around a hundred cars and fills up fast, so plan to get there early. The trailhead is beautiful and shaded by aspen trees. I love when the sunlight peaks through the trees. There might some snow on the ground if you do this hike in the Fall. I personally think the snow adds beauty to your photos when there are leaves on the ground. The trail joins with the Waterline Trail briefly before you you get to the Inner Basin area where it connects to the Weatherford Trail. There is also a service road that you have to walk on briefly. The inner Basin Trailhead is a loop and is around 3.5 miles. There are lots of spots to stop and take photos along the way so plan on the hike being a few hours if you are a photogenic person. This is a really pretty hike, just a crappy drive to get to it.

I rolled my ankle twice. $128 a night and we couldn't even sit outside our camper. No pool/hot tub. Dog park was all dry loose dirt so our dogs got filthy in the pen. Dirt flying everytime they ran. Told us we could rent a small small table propane grill for $50. Dispute that cost there would have been nowhere to put it to enjoy it. Another camper I talked to said they paid $178 for their small patio site and were also very disappointed. There are nicer KOAs down the road and less expensive.

We went in June 2019, and it wasn't crowded at all. The hosts were absolutely wonderful. They came by and checked that we had everything we needed and offered us water. They gave us a general idea of the campground. They had installed little motion sensor lights in the bathroom, so you don't have to fumble with phones or flashlights to use the loo. They have a box of reading materials, books, maps, etc. like a little free library set up. They had 5 wonderful dogs, all leashed, controlled and super friendly and adorable. A few are trained therapy dogs, just wonderful sweet, quiet dogs. It was so clear to me that the hosts really took pride in making sure their guests had a good experience at the campground. I don't think I've ever stayed at a campground where the hosts went so out of their way to make sure I felt at home. I highly recommend this campground to travelers, or locals who just want a chance of scenery, just minutes from the city!

Some of these items are so intricately made and engraved, they're like works of art. They had antique firearms and more recent displays from all over the world. Some of the grips were made out of ivory, turquoise and more. Fascinating to see the difference and how firearms have evolved over one hundred or so years.

Prices have increased substantially in my opinion, but there is plenty of space so you could split the costs if you have to join you. They have Peak and Off-peak rates.... It's only for military and families (active, reserve, retired, etc). They also have smaller studio cabins, a larger cabin that fits up to 12 and some pet friendly units. The grounds are beautiful...for the outdoor enthusiasts, hiking, skiing (seasonal) nearby.... Staff was friendly, large fireplace in the lobby, along with a small convenience area where you can get snacks, beer, coffee and more. Great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors!

Multiple bathrooms around campgrounds. Each one has a potable water station outside! Firewood and Ice for sale (can pay with card but easier with cash!) Trail directly to the lake! Tips: Bring hand soap (hand sanitizer only at the bathroom). Only 2 cars per site and hosts come by at night to pick up the $10 payment for the second vehicle (card acceptable!) They have 2 trails connected to the campsite. One that is .5miles goes under the road to the lake, and one that is 1mile and goes up the mountain for the lake views. The campsite director did mention there are ravens so you do need to hide your food if you're going to be away. There were some ants, my dog did get bit up by some sort of bugs on her stomach. The campsite was $30 for the night + $10 for an extra car. I highly recommend this place! It was so peaceful

No one actually showed up for that spot. Black Barts Steakhouse offers a fun experience in the park. Ok food. Servers get on stage and perform musical numbers. If it's not hot and I'm not worried about battery, will probably just stay in Cracker Barrel parking lot and save the $75 fee

Easy access from the freeway, convenient restaurant, good water pressure, reliable electric hookup, nice area to walk the dogs in the trees. On the not-so nice side, it's clear that the owners are not maintaining the sites. Huge pot holes, crumbling concrete pads, gravel roads are mostly dirt now. The restrooms and showers are permanently closed. Lots of permanent residents that are not maintaining their sites. Definitely an ok place to stop for the night to get a great meal, but wouldn't want to stay here longer, and I would feel uncomfortable bringing kids here.
