Fabulous campground! The unpaved road coming in is a bit wash board but all in all not too bad. Very well kept up campsights and grounds by camp hosts and they are very visible throughout the day. Fun little food truck that serves burgers, hot dogs, pizza, ice cream and caramel corn (which was delicious)over by the entrance that also rents kayaks and paddle boards. We were able to e-bike on fun roads and our grandkids loved the near by trails for dirt bikes. Bring fire wood and water.

This campground was a nice getaway for me during the COVID-19 summer. It's a beautiful area about 20 miles southeast of Williams in the Kaibab National Forest. White Horse Lake has more than 90 single unit campsites, some double sites and a large group site. Half of these sites can be booked online with the other half being first-come, first serve. Each site has a clear gravel area for your tent, tables and a campfire ring. The campsites are situated around the lake with ponderosa trees all around. Amenities include water spickets and bathrooms that are a short walking distance from each site. The lake itself is a popular spot for fishing as it is stocked with rainbow trout, largemouth bass, and channel catfish. There's a small ramp for boats and a local company on site that rents out kayaks during the day. If you like to hike, I recommend the nearby Sycamore Rim Trail. You get some great views of the canyon and it is a pretty easy trail to hike.

We love this campground near Williams. Very nice camp spots, paved loop roads, graded tent areas, plenty of pine trees, water sources, clean bathroom facilities, a snack shop and a cool little lakes with many trails to hike. Perfect to bring a family. Almost every campsite has shade or you can hang tarps or put up a shade tent. The tent pads are neatly graded and comfortable to sleep in a tent without a pad or mattress. Picnic tables and fire rings. Check local conditions as right now no fire is allowed. Lake has black crappie and largemouth bass but water levels are dictated by snow melt and rain. Swimming is not allowed but there are paddle boards and kayaks available to rent. Small boats are allowed with trolling motors. There is a boat ramp. We've seen elk, pronghorn and deer along with 2 ospreys that soar over the lake, dive-bombing fish. Many trails within short driving distance or hit trails connected to camp grounds. There is a small snack shop that serves meals daily and has covered eating area. Its a 11+ mile drive off of the 40, outside of Williams. Williams is your closest place for food, gas, etc.

Great campground. Spacious sites, friendly hosts. Hard road to drive on especially if pulling a trailer.

The rv sites are really packed in together, and the tent sites are in rocks, no shade and also packed in. Our glamping tent was wonderful. We called it our Harry Potter tent. It was nice to have linens already together, a mini fridge, storage, lighting, and chairs. It was a great setup. The cabins are also nice especially the larger ones with bathrooms. The shared bathrooms were clean. The single shower bathroom combos were nice for privacy. The activity director had fun and kept everyone involved in a putting challenge, flashlight hunt, bingo, and cornhole. The cafe and store are also very nice. We already booked again for our group to be back next year.

This trip in the first week of June had one event that ruined my review 100%. If what happened had been handled professionally, my review would be five stars and good smiles. The event was simply this, we were sitting in a chair provided by the KOA to sit by our fire while we camped in a Conestoga Wagon. We got the fire going after dark. My wife sat in a chair trusting it to be safe. At some point she stood up and felt her pants rip. These were new pants and not cheap. I turned a light on and saw three rips on the side of her pants. I then looked and saw a very sharp piece of metal that was screwed into two parts of the wooden chair. More inspection was to see that they had six other sharp edged pieces of metal all over that chair holding it together. The good news is that she didn't get cut by the chair. But the sad news is a nice pair of pants were damaged. We made a complaint the next morning. It got escalated to a local manager who then turned it over to her boss. We had one phone message from the district manager. The rest of the time was communication by email. This manager had poor communication skills and never did seek to look at the photos. She wanted us to send a copy of the receipt. She had wrong information stating we ordered them online. I corrected the information and stated the online photo shown to her manager beneath her was to show the cost of $89 for the pants. She then emailed me to have me tell her when we were going to stay next and she would give us $40 off the cost of staying there. This is unacceptable because it does not replace the pants and we have no idea when we might stay again. Several weeks later I still had nothing resolved. We had sent a receipt showing the cost from my wife replacing the torn pants with the exact store and price. Nothing more was said to us. I reached out this weekend and she responded to say she would refund me $40 for the cost of the pants. That is it. I think this is very poor management and dealing with this did take from some of our enjoyment in this trip. This lack of customer service and lack of care is enough to make us not want to stay or brag about this KOA. Not once did anyone of the staff say they were sorry for this experience or state they were glad we didn't get cut by the sharp edges of each metal piece on this chair. It took them 2 days to remove it from the area.

This was our first time visiting a drive-through wildlife park, and we had an absolute blast. The process was easy--just drive in and enjoy the scenery while animals casually go about their day like they own the place (which, to be fair, they kind of do). We were able to see so many animals up close, including deer, elk, bison, bears, foxes, and more. Almost all of the animals were out and active, which made the experience even better. Seeing a massive bison just casually standing a few feet away from your car is both exciting and a great reminder that Mother Nature lifts weights. Our kids had an amazing time and couldn't stop talking about everything they saw. After finishing the drive-through portion, we explored the walk-through area and got to see even more animals. One of our favorite parts was the live animal show put on by the staff. They did a fantastic job, and it was so much fun watching the birds, along with a porcupine and a raccoon, come out and show off their talents. The entire park was clean, organized, family-friendly, and well worth the visit. If you're visiting the Williams area or heading to the Grand Canyon, Bearizona is absolutely worth adding to your itinerary. Highly recommended for families and animal lovers. Five stars!

I really like that the park has both a drive-through section and a walk-through section included with admission. The drive-through part is the highlight. You get to stay in your vehicle while driving through different animal areas, and seeing animals like bison, deer, burros, wolves, and bears up close is a great experience. The wolves and bears are especially impressive, and it is easy to see why they require windows to stay up in certain areas. Some of the animals come right up near the vehicle, which makes it feel very personal and exciting while still being safe. The walk-through area is also very well done. It gives you a chance to slow down, walk around, and see more animals up close. The exhibits are clean, the park is well kept, and the animals appear to be cared for. There are also nice areas to explore, a large gift shop, places to grab a snack or drink, and plenty to look at besides just the drive-through portion. This is a great place for families, kids, visitors, and even locals who want something fun to do near Williams or on the way to the Grand Canyon. Depending on the time of day and year, some animals may be more active than others, so it can be worth driving through more than once if time allows. Overall, Bearizona is a fun, unique, and memorable Arizona attraction. The combination of the drive-through wildlife experience and the walk-through zoo makes it well worth the visit. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Williams or the Grand Canyon area.

The campgrounds are clean. We rented a small rustic cabin both times. It was clean when we arrived and I love that it has a full size bed and bunk bed. I also appreciate that they provide a small fan and space heater in the cabins. I honestly didn't mind having to walk to the bathroom/shower. Felt like summer camp. lol. And they were always clean. They have a cute little dog park, pool/hot tub and playgrounds too. I think the only drawback is that it is right off the road so there is constant car sounds. But the plus is that it is right next to a Chevron. Overall, I think the rates, friendly service, and cleanliness of this place make it a five-star stay in my book.

The location was quiet, some of the staff were nice, and the showers were better than expected. Unfortunately, that was not enough to make up for the rest of the experience. The cabins were extremely hot, and the lack of air conditioning made it very uncomfortable. Fans helped a little, but not enough to make the stay relaxing. For the price, I expected the accommodations to be much more comfortable and better maintained. The campground itself also felt boring, especially for families with children. There was not much to do, the on-site store was overpriced, and some of the basic amenities were disappointing. The Wi-Fi was weak and unreliable, the sites felt too close together, and the nearby highway noise took away from the outdoor camping feel. Cleanliness and management also seemed to be an issue. Bathrooms and facilities should be checked and cleaned regularly, especially with the number of employees around. Instead, it felt like things were being overlooked. For a KOA, I expected better organization, better communication, and better attention to guests. The staff who were friendly deserve credit, but management needs serious improvement. At this price point, guests should not be uncomfortable, bored, dealing with poor maintenance, or feeling like basic issues are being ignored. Overall, there are a few good things here, but not enough for me to recommend it or want to stay again.
