Their prices are the lowest I could find anywhere in the KC region. They make buying a vehicle pleasant!! I had been looking for a vehicle for over a month and dealing with other dealerships before finding Woody's. When I saw their prices, I honestly thought they were going to mark up the online price like the others do, until the price was thousands over what the website actually states. Woody's does not have fake add on's that they try making you purchase. They offer additional coverage but do not push it on you or make you feel like you have to purchase it. They are truly selling cars honestly!! From the time I started asking questions about two vehicles I was comparing until the time I purchased, Kyler was the most pleasant person I have ever worked with!! He answered all the questions I had, was patient with my lack of trust (due to other dealerships), and listened to my wants and needs in a vehicle. When I came in for my appointment to test drive the two vehicles, he did not try swaying me one way or the other in my purchase. He was knowledgeable about the features and capabilities of the vehicles and how they affected my needs. In fact, he pointed out features in both that would match what I was looking for. He does not match the stereotype of a car salesman!! Lol. He is a wonderful honest midwestern guy!! Jeff, in finance, was amazing!! He explained every single paper I was signing. He made sure I understood everything. He even explained when and what I needed to do with insuring and licensing after purchase. He even stayed late so I could complete everything that night. I have had a new SUV on order for several months and as a professional that puts a lot of miles on a vehicle I could not wait any longer so was put in a position that I needed to look to a car lot for inventory. Woody's had two vehicles I was interested in. So I drove over to see the vehicles and one of them had a dead battery so was unable to drive it so had to drive back the next day to see it (and my drive is about 45 minutes away). The next day I was able to see the second vehicle however could not get an answer to negotiate pricing because the "decision maker" was already gone for the day so I would need to come back tomorrow. So my husband and I make the third trip to Chillicothe to wrap up this deal on the vehicle I decided on and am told they will only honor that price if I finance with them.....AND I can only put down 10%........and then I find out this is basically a bait and switch scheme because their rates are ridiculous!! I could have financed with my local bank for less than half of what they financed me for!! And they require me to keep this super high rate note for 5 months before I can pay it off!! So.....I am posting this feedback to save others the grief I went through!! And.....on top of that it took us nearly 4 hours to sign all the paperwork to purchase our vehicle!! And, they had 4 girls in the office trying to figure out how to do Docusign paperwork and STILL didn't know how to do it!! I was having to show them how to get into signature mode! And I eventually had to leave for an appointment and they STILL missed signatures and had to send paperwork home with my husband for me to sign and send back hardcopy because they missed things!! And another thing I negotiated in our transaction was a full tank of gas and was assured this would be done......well, you guessed it.......when my husband left the dealership he barely had enough fumes to coast into a nearby gas station to get gas!! That is the gratitude you get these days for a $65,000 vehicle purchase!! And on top of that about a week later I get a phone call asking me if I would like to come in take a look a Jeep Grand Cherokee......I could not believe it!! They had NO IDEA that I was a customer!! If inventory was available at another dealership I would NOT have done business here......but inventory is lacking and I did not have a choice :( PS The first thing I did was remove the WOW Woody's logo from the back of my vehicle.....I was NOT going to give them ANY advertisement!! I will update my review once the dust has settled but my purchase experience was not smooth and bump free. After driving 4.5 hours to purchase a vehicle advertised as having 18,XXX miles on it, I arrived and was told it had a "few more" than what they thought and handed the key fob. While test driving it, the mileage was not easily visible for me as I am shorter and it was low on the screen. It had 31,XXX! An employee had been driving it. After negotiations regarding the mileage discrepancy and reaching an agreement on that, I signed the paperwork and was handed 1(!) key fob for a 2021 vehicle! I was told they were looking for the other one and if it wasn't found they would get me a second one. We will see if they follow thru. While going thru the truck screen on a rest break on the way home I discovered that either they didn't reset the screen for oil change or they didn't do an oil change before selling it. I was also promised to be sent touch up paint for it as it had several scratches. Their detail shop apparently doesn't do windows either as the front windshield had the little spit circles from possibly a cell phone mount and the rear window had tons of fingerprints on it. Also had questions about my extended power train warranty it was suppose to have for being a certified used car. Still waiting on that answer. I will update once the dust settles. read more

The good: I bought a used Yukon In May 2021 from Woodys Upon purchasing I had an agreement with Woodys that they would pay for the AC coolant and changing out a tire sensor. They did uphold their end of the agreement without issue. The bad: My Yukon has been in the shop three times now with transmission problems (hard shifting from 1st to 2nd) and an undiagnosed issue where it will randomly not start. These problems tell me that the vehicle was sold to me in this condition and that it wasn't given a proper inspection upon arrival to Woodys dealership. The vehicle didn't show any signs of mechanical problems when I bought it for the first 3-4 weeks after. Since then it has been nothing but tow bills and mechanic shop visits. It is currently sitting at the dealership where it's been for a week and a half. Thanks Woodys for pawning off a 47,000$ problem on me. read more

There was damage to my trade in that I was completely transparent about and I asked a fair low end price. Recently bought the 1995 4x4 ambulance. I flew out from San Diego to jump on a great deal we were able to come to. The sales agent Juan Coronado was super professional over the phone and worked hard to get the deal locked in. I booked my flight out for the next morning. Juan arranged for a driver to pick me up at MCI in Kansas City and got me to the dealer to complete the paper work and get me on my way. They found out the tire was flat so they installed the spare and told me that if I can pick the tire up just send them the bill for reimbursement. Would I do it all over again?? Heck yeah! This place is awesome very great people. When they found out I was a former Marine they thanked me for my service and just really made me feel welcomed. My son was interested in a Jeep here and called to verify it was available to come look at that evening as we live an hour and a half away. Kyler, the salesman, said yes and made plans to come look at it. Once we arrived there he could not find it and eventually realized it was sitting outside the shop with a flat tire and we could not test drive it and would have to drive back the next day. 3 hours of driving because the salesman was clueless. Came back the next day, test drove it, and decided to but it. We brought up cracks in the windshield and Kyler assured us they would take care of them and would not sell it like that. Next day after my son got the loan from the credit union and he contacted the salesmen to let him know he had the money and would like to come out that night and get it if the windshield was fixed. Kyler informed him that since it was just a "scuff" they would not fix the windshield. Since we already had the money in hand we went out there and showed the two big cracks and he assured us the manager would come talk to us once he got off a conference call and work something out. So we started paperwork in the meantime. Afterwards we asked about the manager and was told he was not there, which was weird because he was just on a conference call supposedly. Bought the Jeep and figured lesson learned with that dealership. 3 days later check engine light came on so we messaged Kyler who said he would check on it and get back to us. 4 days later after not hearing back we messaged him again and was told to call the shop because he does know anything about cars. No attempt to resolve the issue and I am pretty sure the code was cleared out before we got there. Would not recommend doing business here. Salesmen was very smug, arrogant liar. read more

They said the salesman they were working with was great and they were ready to buy the car until they spoke with the GM. AND THEY ARE NOT UPFRONT ABOUT HIDDEN FEES!! They will tell you that this specific fee is on their website which yes, I found it after looking VERY closely in the fine print.... "Woody's has a $456 administration and environmental fee not required by law." Notice anything strange about that? NOT REQUIRED BY LAW... means they just tack it on as an EXTRA FEE! When I asked for a car fax or additional pictures, we didn't get much response but decided to go up and take a look anyways. When we arrived, the truck we were looking at had paint damage down to the metal that they didn't disclose, the heated and cooled seats didnt work, and the staff was not willing to come down on the price at all on any of this. I just purchased a 2018 Lincoln Navigator from Woodys and could not be happier. Polly Applebury and Brie Allen were my salespeople. When I first inquired on the car Polly told me there was no negotiation on the asking price, which was not what I am used to. However, as I became more familiar with pricing I realized their asking price was very fair. One thing I really appreciated about Woodys was the large number of photos of the vehicle they posted, along with a nicely done video. I was purchasing the car sight unseen so these photos really helped me make a decision. Their photos are very high resolution so you can really see everything. I was looking at a car with one of their competitors, they had 1/5 of the number of photos and their photos were blurry, which to me is a sneaky way to hide imperfections in the car. Polly and Brie were fantastic about answering my questions and getting back to me quickly. Polly returned calls or emails very quickly and helped move the paperwork along efficiently. They shipped my car out the day after receiving payment, which was much faster than I expected. Avoid this dealership like the plague. The pricing is deceptive. They increase the price if you do not use their bank, which charges interest at rates that are 50% higher than the national average (I have a credit score over 800). They intentionally try changing the financing term - I asked for 36 months and they pushed 60 months. When they "checked" on the 36 month rate, it was the same as the 60 month rate. There is no bank, anywhere, that charges the same rate for shorter term loans as longer term loans. They limit what you can put down on vehicles. They essentially refuse to deal with you when you turn down extended warranties (even when the car you want to purchase is "certified.") Do your homework. Many people learn the hard way about all the deception. Glad I walked away, but should have read more reviews. Will be happy to deal with an honest dealer, and not these folks. read more

1 star only because 0 is not an option. I was working with a salesman for 2 weeks trying to set up a deal before making the 3 hour drive to trade in my truck and purchase a new one from Woody's. I made it clear that I did not want to waste an entire day driving and not have something in place before scheduling an appointment. I was more than willing to put a deposit down to hold the truck until I could get there, but they insisted on me coming in, so against my better judgement I made an appointment, planned an entire day around it. 1.5 hours into my 3 hour drive, I get a text saying that they sold the truck. This is after getting a text from 3 different people at the dealership the day before wanting to confirm my appointment. I had been watching this dealer on Cars.com since last summer 2018. They had 4 or 5 identical 2019 Chrysler 300 Hemi C models, all optioned the same, all low miles, and all manufacturer cars never privately titled. As the months went on I watched as one by one they sold. The other day, there was only one left. I thawed all my credit reports and started a financing application on their site. Spoke to salesperson Polly Applebury throughout the day over text about the deal. She said I was pre-approved so I said I'd drive down from Chicago the next day! 6 and a half hour drive one way...LONG ride but it was worth it! Polly was out of the office the day I came but she had set me up with Paul Cureton to help me with the car. Never had an easier or smoother experience. Horrible experience on all levels. The staff openly discriminates against people. They seem like popular high school kids picking and choosing who they like. They look down on the working class. They will tell you that you don't qualify for anything except cars ready for the junkyard, one they tried to get me to take had a blown transmission and a rod knocking every sensor was tripped. The sales people have very little knowledge of vehicles yet they try to tell you you are wrong it just needs an update, the only other vehicle they offered was I'm guessing bought at a police auction it had bullet holes in it! Went to two other dealers and both were happy to help and sell me what I wanted. Woodys likes to tell you what you can and can't buy. Word to the wise, don't tell the customer what they are going to buy and listen instead to what they want, just because someone comes in in work clothes instead of a suit and tie doesn't mean they can't afford a good vehicle. They are in a small town with big city attitudes. A very I'm too good for you feel. Might want to work on your run down image if you are going to have that kinda attitude. read more

They wouldn't even let me test drive it to see if it was what I wanted, they wanted to run my credit first. I found this dealership online while looking for a 2016 Ram 3500 with specific options, mileage, and reasonable price. I found a truck matching my needs in their inventory and called the store. After my questions were answered and I also researched online maintenance records, service, schedule, and accidents. I then made an appointment to visit, look at the truck and test drive. At this point I decided with all information I had to move forward and purchase the truck. Title was a long time being sent but got it and paid registration and ownership fees as well as added need extra to transport new RV's to dealerships coast to coast. After about 6 weeks I received an email with a release attached. Upon researching this it appears this truck was repurchased by Chrysler Corporation from the original own with they said lack of power but no problems were found? Had this been disclosed prior to my purchase I would NEVER had purchased this truck. In reality several error codes had been set, and their claim is software updates were done and the truck was now fine?? But they never disclosed this prior to the sale even though they were the ones who purchased the unit at auction. They offered to repurchase the unit from me but no compensation for my lost revenue while I searched for a replacement. Or they would give me 1000 dollars and sign the release or they would find a similar truck. No truck found to replace mine, no compensation for any losses of mine if they bought it back. Only option was I was forced to accept the 1000 and go my way. Total height pressure, unfair business practice, also discloser not done as required by law in Missouri. Not sure how long this truck will continue to perform. Think again before buying used units from this unscrupulous dealer. read more

I can't comment on the level of service in person or as far as completing a deal goes because I haven't yet closed a deal with this place but we've tried to a couple of times over the years. We found a vehicle we wanted to come down and look into purchasing here a couple of times. The first time, we called, we could never talk to the same person, and the woman we did talk to didn't sound like she was listening to a word we were saying just trying to push us to come in when it was our goal to handle as much as we could over the phone because we were out of state. We gave up. Couldn't stand it. We found another vehicle a few years later, called in and asked for sales, was transferred to a salesman, gave them our name, as soon as we gave them it they somehow saw that we had worked with that woman 4 YEARS AGO and immediately transferred us to her again. It was unbearable. She hadn't changed. We called back a few days later and specifically repeatedly told the salesman we did not want to work with her and asked him repeatedly 'you took the call, can we work with you and just you'. He repeatedly assured us yes, took our trade info, and said he would call us right back. He never did. You know who did a few hours later--yep, the same woman! Unbelievable. Couldn't believe it. Like they didn't hear one thing we said. We were ready to drive down there as soon as we got just a little information about financing options and trade values. Never even got there. Three times. If a manager reads this, please change whatever process caused this to happen. I don't think we'll ever give it another shot. read more

Don't believe the NO FEEs - You will be in for a surprise, not a good one. Was told there are no fees. Drove 2.5 hours. There were no fees the day I signed the papers. I get a letter in the mail a couple weeks later, and told to go to the administration building to get my title all squared away. Easy enough. I get up to the desk, they run the papers, and find I need to pay the fees of $700.00. What kind of surprise is that?! I would have rather had the option to roll it in to the loan. No fees my a$$. I feel bad for anyone who writes a great review for this dealership, and finds out within a month that there are fees - with no mention of having to pay this much money after the fact. Not happy at all. Such a great surprise. I or we should have the option to roll it in or pay up front. This type of sh!t isn't right. Ruined my day. Quit telling people "No Fee's, ever". read more

Do not buy from this dealership unless you want to be screwed over. Drove 3 hours to look at a truck. Found one we liked but ened up having damage on it. The sales person just blew it off like it was nothing and didn't even care to say they would fix it. We decided to look at a different truck and ened up liking it. We decided to buy it if the payment was right. Well it took them 45 min to get approval and we ran out of time because we had to get home. Not sure why it took so long becuase we filled everything out online and it said it would save us time. Yeah not true at all. Jason the salesperson called us on the way home and asked if we still wanted it the truck. We wanted the sales tax added, which they didn't at first so the payment went up. It was now above what we we wanted to pay so we said we would have to think about it. We ended up removing the extended warrenty in order to have payment where we wanted it. Tried calling Jason the next day several times and every time was told he was with a customer. He never called me back, so I called him first thing the next morning. He tells me he had a unplanned day off. Interesting since the reciptionist told he was with customers when I called. That should have been a big red flag that this places is shady. We ignored the red flag because the deal was better then any we could find near us. Drove down there again and filled out all the paperwork. Was told the truck would be washed and fueled up by the time we got there. The truck was not washed or fueled up when we got there. Didn't know it was not fueled until we were leaving and by this time we just wanted to get out of there. Jason our sales person didn't even seem to care if he sold a vehicle or not. No thanks for the business or pictures in front of the truck. It was everything set and bye. Then to top it off they hold your title ransom until your down payment clears. I have never not left a dealership without a title. I have paid cash for cars and been giving the title that day. I know I should have left without it but wasn't thinking clearly at the time. It's been a week and they still have my title. Called them and they acted like well this is what we do for everyone. I was told the title will be sent out Thursday. Thursday will be 2 weeks since we bought the truck. You have 30 days to title and most likely will not get the title until some time next week. That leaves us a week to title this vehicle. That is unacceptable. They may have great deals but they are horrible to work with and have poor customer service. Buyer beware and don't waste your time with them. The prices may be great but the poor service will make it worth paying a little more to buy some places else. read more

I just want to start offf by saying fuck Paul. bought a 2015 jeep compass from them back in January keep in mind originally we arrived on the lot expecting a 2017 Chrysler 200 about a month after receiving our 200 they called to tell us that we had to return the car being that they messed up on THEIR part with the paper work. Paul reassured us that the jeep was in wonderful condition.
