I wanted to try this spot when they were in Westville CT. Never made it to that location and they moved downtown New Haven on Church Street. I made it to the spot yesterday. I got buffalo wings, BBQ wings side of mac and cheese, yams and egg rolls, and greens to go. I got my order to go but when I got home the yam juice leaked onto the mac, greens and no juice left on yams. It was because the hot food collapsed the styrofoam. disappointed!!! I called the owner and he will make it right for my next visit. Those items I will have to review at a later date because everything tasted so sweet from the yam juice. Could not salvage those sides. Now let's talk egg rolls please. Those egg roll are AMAZING. I got a buffalo egg roll, steak and cheese, and hamburger egg roll. Each and every one was FANTASTIC. Get those. The wings were great. The taste was amazing on both flavors . I chose the buffalo and BBQ wet flavor. I really like the fact the wings were not the size of mini turkey wings. Those large wings are usually so meaty you chew for days. Woody Wings are just the right size. The inside of the restaurant is very cute for those that choose to dine in. Where should I start...Woody Wings is at a great location. It's no excuse to not go and get an order. My order was the jerk egg rolls, steak and cheese egg rolls, collards, garlic parmesan wings, fries and banana pudding. The Woody's Wing sauce with the egg roll is so good. Woody's Wings was wonderful! This was my first time trying Woody's Wings and got them delivered through UberEats. Originally had ordered Asian Garlic, Honey Cajun, Buffalo, Lemon Pepper, and the Sweet Chili Sriracha. The restaurant called 2 minutes after the order was placed to say that they were out of the Asian Garlic flavor. The employee was so nice, friendly, and helpful over the phone and we ended up replacing the flavor with Sweet & Tangy. The wings arrived hot, crispy and delicious. The wings were thoughtfully packed and placed. The favorite flavor of the night was Honey Cajun! Really nice Cajun flavor with a light sweetness. Definitely not over powering. Buffalo and Lemon Pepper were very yummy and great as well! The sweet chili sriracha had a nice spiciness and I love feeling the heat. Lastly, the Sweet & Tangy played nicely with the other wings. Shrimp was great steak was like eating wood. Let me just say I went to Woodys twice in one day.... that's how goood they are. First order I got was the asian garlic. They were obviously very good. They offer blue cheese and ranch with your order. My second order was sweet and tangy. This was my favorite of the two flavors I got. The sauces were great and the actual wings were cooked very well. Is there a time we ordered nobody was extremely happy with their order my honey hot was very salty today spicy teriyaki in my sons opinion wasn't spicy and everybody got sick. My son has severe stomach pain and headache and chills all night long as well as diarrhea I had diarrhea and stomach ache and my husband had a stomachache and my oldest son had really bad gas.
