This review is for Tanya who works at the bar inside the adventure park. We went inside to get some hot cocoa about 30 minutes before the park closed & she was super chipper & friendly. Very personable & gave us great recommendations on where to camp in the area!! The park was clean & super fun...definitely worth the happy hour price, roller coaster/ tubing was our favorite!! & free s'mores till 3pm on Saturday was a nice plus

I came 2 weeks ago and my son was only tall enough to go sledding in the play area. He needed help carrying the sled up..my job of course. Plus, he's young enough that I have to keep an eye on him so he doesn't get hurt. Today, the supervisor at the ticket counter tried to say that I needed to pay as well even though I wasn't sledding. It makes no sense for parents with young kids to let them try to do this on their own. There's not a lot to do with young kids.

Heading up the mountain coaster - super relaxing on the way up and fun coming down!

We loved this place! We paid for 2 hours (they let us start almost an hour early) and got in 5 mountain coaster rides, 2 zipline rides and 2 tubing rides each and they had an Easter egg hunt since we were there on Easter. Love the whole vibe - they had a DJ, open bar and probably the best sandwich I've had in a long time (chicken, mozzerella and pesto). Clean bathrooms, friendly staff - a great way to spend half of the day!

Gingerbread old fashioned (really good) and chilaquiles (also tasty).

We came by today for their grand opening of their new restaurant/ cafe/bar. It's a cool place - inner tubing and mountain coaster. Four of us rode the mountain coaster, and it was really fun! Like a bobsled on steel tracks - you push the levers down to go full speed, and let them up to slow down. It's about a 15-minute ride total - 6 mins up (where you just relax) and 9 minutes down. It's a pretty rude, too. They have a full bar - several folks got hot toddy's or coffee/ hot chocolate drinks. I got a gingerbread old fashioned, half sweet (half the gingerbread liquor ) and it was very tasty. For the grand openings. They were also putting out food samples - favorites were the fried chicken sandwich, veggie panini and chilaquiles. Not a big fan of the pizza or lasagne, and some of the sandwiches were pretty bland. Overall a fun time!

Tons of fun definitely make a stop here and spend some time doing the activities. They offer all day passes or you can pay just for what you want to do.

We had the best day with our grandkids at Woollys. Staff were kind and helpful. Don't miss the roller coaster it's a must do for all ages. The kids loved mining for treasures, the ropes course and tubing. Only negative was the wait line for the trampoline but good news, while kids waited in line, we had cocktails on rhe picnic tables adjacent to the attraction. Looking forward to coming back, thanks for the fun memories Woolly!

What a fun place to go when you're in Mammoth. The staff is super friendly to the lady at the front entrance to the coaster staff. We planned on just doing one ride but then bought the full day pass and spent three hours here. So much to do and actually just a fun place to hang out. I really liked the coaster ride. They give you enough space between riders that you can go at the pace you want without the fear of anyone hitting you from behind or you hitting anyone. It was really fun.

Kids had fun and drinks are really good. Fun for everyone. We did the 2 hour pass and no lines in a busy weekend.

Excellent family friendly activity, I highly recommend coming here. We had so much fun at Woolly's and the kids really enjoyed tubing and playing in the snow.... Even the adults had a blast doing the connected group tubing (especially my sister in law!) The staff are all friendly and helpful. They all helped everyone go down the slope. We went on a Friday around noon and it seemed like we had the place to ourselves. It was pretty cool and we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Mammoth.

Amazing!! Even the teenager loved it!! (if you have a teen, you know how hard they are to please ) I swear he was smiling when we finished The 6 year old that is always a little uneasy, said she love it!! You are able to control the speed and brakes or go full force up to 25 miles an hour! Don't pass on this fun adventure!!

We bought the $94 2-hour tubing and coaster pass for Saturday at 10am. That price is okay. It's more worth it than buying an individual ticket for the coaster. With this pass, I got to ride the coaster 4 times, take a bathroom break and ride the tube down the hill 5 times. Most of the coaster ride is spent being pulled over 200 feet up the mountain. Then, once you hit the top of the coaster, you see a house and then get to control the speed of your cart as preferred. You can go as slow as you want but you can't quite go as fast as you want. Once I got used to the coaster, I tried going top speed with no braking down the entire ride and it never got as fast as I wanted. Yes the wind was blowing in my face and I could feel the centripetal force when going round a bend but it wasn't that exhilarating. The ride itself has a bunch of turns and two spirals. The biggest downside to the coaster is that you might get stuck behind someone who's slow or likes to brake a lot. Since there's the 80 feet rule where you have to keep 80 feet between you and the person in front of you, you might be forced to go as slow as they're going. I spent the 6 or so minutes that it takes for the coaster to be pulled up the mountain singing some tunes but there's really not much to do on the way up. You can't have your phone or camera or anything out while on the ride, probably because it would be too difficult to retrieve. I was told that if you ride with one other person, the extra weight makes you go faster. I can't tell if that's actually true though because I didn't notice a difference. Honestly, I liked how peaceful the coaster was. There's a line that builds up pretty quick but it never took more than 6 or so minutes to get onto the ride. The staff here are really friendly in telling you the rules, running you through systems check and asking you about hoe your ride was at the very end. Tubing was fun. If you go with others, you can link up your tubes and go down together. They can link you up in a flower shape or a straight line. I went down linked with my mom once. There's a much longer line and wait for the tubing though. I had to wait maybe 15 minutes before I was sliding down. There's a lift that you stand on to bring you up the hill. The staff that help you into your tube and push you down are really friendly. They give you the option of putting some spin on your tube. I first went down with no spin, then medium spin, then 3 times with low spin. Low spin was the perfect sweet spot. When I tried asking for maximum spin, the helper staff insisted that I do just the medium and he made the right call because that much spin alone made the ride just dizzying and less scenic. The low spin is the perfect amount to make you feel like you're in the calm of nature while also being the star of a my chemical romance music video. I loved singing as I spun slowly around and down the hill. Lowkey, you could continue tubing past your 2 hours time because they only check your ticket badge when you get your tube, but that's subject to change since I'm spilling the tea here. They have a hydration station next to the restrooms on the first floor of the ticket building. When we got there around 9:46, there was plenty of parking. Overall, I don't think I'd come again since it costs as much as a bigger amusement park ticket but with fewer attractions. However, I enjoyed coming here at least once in my life.

How much are tickets for just to do tubing?

Are kids (7 and under) the same price as adults?

Hello Jamie, it is the same price for both children and adults at Woolly's Tube Park. However, if they are under the height limit, the ticket is cheaper as they will only be allowed to use the snow play area as appose to go tubing. We hope to see… Read more

Hi, we plan to come to the tube park with 6 adults and 4 kids (5,5,6 & 7), which slot is the warmest/sunniest of the day? 11:30am or 1:30pm? Thank you.

Personally I believe 11:30am would be a better suit for your party, mainly because the sun sets a lot earlier during the winter time and temperatures do drop very quickly as it gets later on in the day. Hope you guys have a blast!

Will you guys be making man made snow on opening day if there isn't any fresh snow? We have a home on mammoth lakes and have our reservation set. Thank you

I planned this trip with a group of friends, and they could not stop commenting about how the chalets was the best stay they've been in at Mammoth. We stayed at chalet #9 which was not a ski out, but a very short walk to the main lodge/lifts and definitely a ski in from lower road runner. The chalet itself was cozy with plentiful seating, and even extra foldable chairs for our group. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms came equipped with hotel sized toiletries, which was a nice touch. The kitchen is a good size and well equipped with all the necessities, along with a fridge/freezer that was the perfect size to fit all of our weekend groceries. I also appreciated that they even had a huge pot to make group meals like pho, even though I had already brought my own instant pot. I would 110% stay here again and recommend the chalets to all of my family and friends. This was such a wonderful find. Thank you for the awesome stay Mammoth Mountain Chalets! :)

Managing a group of kids with very different skill levels is no small task, but Drew handled it with patience, enthusiasm, and impressive skill. He quickly assessed where each child was at and tailored his guidance so everyone felt challenged while still having fun and building confidence on the mountain. Over the two days, Drew took the kids all over the mountain, helping them explore new terrain while always keeping safety front and center. His clear instructions and practical tips made a noticeable difference in their skiing, and it was great to see their progress even within a short time. Drew has a great way of explaining technique in a way kids understand, which helped them improve without feeling overwhelmed. One of the highlights for the kids was spending time in the ski park, where Drew showed them some fun tricks and helped them try new things safely. He struck the perfect balance between encouraging them to push their limits and making sure they stayed in control and confident. By the end of the lessons, all four kids were excited about how much they had learned and couldn't stop talking about their favorite runs. We're incredibly grateful for the experience and would highly recommend Drew Harris to other families looking for a fantastic ski instructor. His ability to manage multiple levels, keep kids engaged, and make learning fun made these two days on the mountain truly memorable.

For the 2025/2026 season it was the location for good skiing and even more so in the later part. The strangest season I've ever seen. Snow then rain, hot then cold then hot again, but Mammoth came through with some very good skiing if you were there at the right time. Nice upgrades on the Mtn with high capacity lifts and grooming but would like to see better dining options at the Main Lodge. Another thought would be for Alterra to loosen up with lift ticket options and pricing instead of forcing one to purchase the Ikon.
