We came here in the summer. As a family, had a great time! They have day pass as well as per activity based tickets. We took the day pass. We did mountain coaster, tubing, bungee trampoline, rock climbing, archery, ropes challenge. Everything was fun and the staff were nice and friendly. It's highly recommended to show up at opening time itself if you want to do everything and multiple times. :) The adventure pass also allows you to use the gondola ride up mammoth mountain which is a must to do. Definitely go till the top and spend some time exploring the mountain top. You can also have lunch up there. All in all great time. Highly recommend. read more

With the lack of summer business they're the running the shuttles into Devil's Postpile. They're running one shuttle an hour for 100 people - in the morning when most people are arriving. Don't ask if they happen to have two running at once in the summe or they'll lecture you about how Disneyland is busy too. Cool, Disneyland has multiple shuttles. read more

Father's Day getaway something I love...outdoor exploration. My first time in mammoth during summer time. Well needless to say, I am so glad we brought sweaters, jackets, pants, and beanies. The weather here is amazing, high 60's during the day low 40's at night time. If I can't afford to retire in Carmel, I think this might be the summer place for me. I love Mammoth's weather. Now to the adventure: If you are a hiker or trail walker this trail was pretty neat. Do come prepare with lots of water, snacks, sunblock, repellent , cap, shades, layers and some good hiking shoes. I highly recommend Danner boots. ( military, law enforcement, hiking boots) There is a tramp that takes you to the peak of the trail. Each ticket is $15.00, that gives you access for a round trip. If you love trails as much as I do, be prepared to get tired on this particular trail. The altitude, thin air made it extra extra hard. My amazing boyz troop, completed 3 miles from Postpile to Rainbow falls . At the falls there are stairs that you should take down, to get the full experience of this beautiful fall. I say it's a must! Then from Rainbow Falls to tramp area was almost 2 miles. Once again if you are a trooper and you are up for the challenge then do it. I was in pain, but once it was all over, it was an epic experience. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY always to feel proud of your accomplishments. This is a great way to entertain the kids for a couple hours. There's a ropes course, trampoline, rock climbing wall, and a panning for gold station (which is $10 extra). You can buy a wristband for unlimited access or pay for each attraction individually, but the best deal is really the wristband which was $50 the day we went. It does get busy so be ready to be patient, if you can get there right at opening time. Parking is at the resort and if there's still skiing you might have to park and take the shuttle up. Or walk. After reading many reviews I was ready for a good time for my kids along with some long waits in line, but were pleasantly surprised to find almost no lines on a Tuesday at 11am. We got there a few minutes before 11, and the wonderful staff got us harnessed up, and the kids were off to a fun filled 2 hour adventure, it's all we needed to do everything, and even a few adventures twice. Be careful before sending someone under 7 I'd say on the elevated rope course, luckily my 5.5 year old had a super cool kid behind her to help her along, and some staff helped her also, but she was a bit young to go on this for sure. My main complaint would be for the parents here, watch where you are in line, don't cut, pay the F attention. My wife was in line for the bungee trampoline, clear as day, next in line, and some "lady" made a big fuss she was next. I was in she shade with my dog watching everything and had to step in, just pay attention please, here and in life would be great.. read more

We've always loved the kid's adventure park, but this year they only offer day passes (instead of sessions for a couple of hours) so the price is double and they have less activities. And for the first time, we encountered a rude, sarcastic staff member. After 10 years of coming, we'll be thinking twice about coming back again. So disappointed. read more

Sooooo worth it in my opinion. Maybe it's because my kids are small trying things out for the first time, but this was worth every penny. We spent $59 on the adventure pass + $9 (discounted from $15 if you purchase the adventure pass) for the mining activity. It gets busy around 11-12 so arrive right when they open. You can buy your tickets before the activities start at 10am. Seeing the smiles and feeling of accomplishment from my kids faces after trying something new is priceless. If you want to make a day out of it, arrive at 8:30-9am and buy the adventure pass and gondola ride tickets, take the gondola up and check out Interpretive Center for all the hands on activities. Make your way back down and start all that's there at the adventure center. Pack a lunch and hang out on the grassy areas available. read more

BRING HELMETS. Staff needs safety training. We brought our two kids, ages 5 and 6, to do the climbing wall. First off, they don't provide helmets. Having no climbing experience myself I figured it was fine. The staff suited the kids up in a harnesses, but didn't provide any guidance or instruction on climbing safety. And I was blindly trusting them so within the first two minutes of climbing, my 5-year-old son climbed three to four feet up, tried to drop down and swung against the wall, hitting his head on a climbing rock. He got a huge bump. At the same time, I saw another very small boy who had hit his head and was lying on the ground for a while. The staff just looked at him and did nothing. My daughter started climbing on the wrong wall with her rope diagonal and no one noticed until i pointed it out - crisis averted. It seems like a fun place. Maybe it's for kids who have already had climbing lessons -- but if you have small kids, I'd bring your own helmet to be safe. read more

Website is awful but keep trying. If you book online, you will save 15% if done 7 days or more ahead. Lines are long at the Lodge for tickets ( opens at 10). Best deal for an all day "kid" adventure is to buy the one day Adventure Pass. Kids get to go on the ropes course, rock climbing, archery, zip lining, and the gondola at the lodge area. It also includes tubing and coaster riding at Woolly's. They can go as many times as they want , all day, until closing at 5. The favorite for my grandkids was the coaster, riding for 2 1/2 hours ( getting on and off )!! Bring your own chair and hat/shade as there is very limited seating or shade if observing. I particularly liked the gondola (kids were free, adult ticket $36) and getting off at the top to visit the interpretive center, having lunch ( expensive -pack a picnic), and taking a hike to see the different viewpoints! The center was an awesome "hands on" area that offered animal pelts, models of skeletons, hoof/paw prints, scat samples, rocks, telescopes for views, videos, giant wood slice etc, Very interactive and wonderfully designed for all age groups. read more

This place was incredible for my 9yo and 6yo boys. We planned ahead a booked the all day pass, allowing our boys to hit whatever obstacle/challenge they wanted, as many times as they wanted (10:00-4:30). The staff was extremely helpful and engaging with our boys, giving them safety tips, encouragement/motivation, and recommendations on how to make their experience more "extreme" (should they want that). Lines were short and plenty of space for parents to watch, cheer, and snap photos. read more

Extremely rude staff. First time ever coming to Mammoth and the staff could not have been less helpful. I was next in line, so I walked to the window. No eye contact from the guy. He proceeded to finish something And flirt with the girl next to him. Instead my family and I just stood there, until he finally said "I'm closed" Honestly you could have told me that earlier. It is just common courtesy. Just being a nice person. But I guess they be as rude as they want to, because you have already traveled 4-5 hours to get there, so where else are you going to go. Sucks to be you. Anywho, the person I got at the new window, just as sweet. I understand that you work here and know everything about Mammoth, but this is our first time. Maybe you don't have to rattle off the information as fast as humanly possibly. It was like if we were bothering her. I heard great things about Mammoth but this left an extremely bad taste in my mouth. read more

Great place with lots of activities. One suggestion for improvement is for the staff to be ready by open time. We observed them applying sunscreen, doing safety checks, and drinking their Starbucks at 10am, rather than being ready at open time. Many of us were standing around waiting and wondering why these processes aren't prior. read more

My husband and I grew up in Mammoth and still have family in town. We come every year and take our kids to the mountain to enjoy the climbing wall and other activities. This year we were extremely sticker shocked to see the cost of the daily adventure pass went from $49, which it has been at for years, to $92! We were told it was because a gondola ride and a mountain coaster ride were included. Unfortunately, we had already done the coaster ride on a previous day and paid $30 for our son to ride one time. This seems like a huge marketing ploy to then have parents pay extra to also ride the gondola or the coaster if you are only purchasing passes for kids. In addition to the sticker shock we were disappointed that some of the holds on the climbing wall were very loose and also spinning, not in great working order or safe. We will check prices again next summer but if it is the same as this year it definitely was not worth it. We felt extremely disappointed and swindled and will reconsider spending our money at the mountain in the future. read more

The kids love the zip line, rock climbing wall and the bungie jump. Each activity is $15. 00 for a single time. Its best to pay for the day I think it was $39.00. This way the kids can go as many Times they want in a day. Restaurant nearby. If you have kids, they will love it read more

We had to get tickets here for a shuttle to get to our trailhead for a backpacking trip during the summer. It would have been nice to drive in to save time waiting for the shuttle and minimize transitions, but they don't allow cars in during certain times of the year probably to minimize traffic. The shuttle was $8 round trip per person. The people on the shuttle were mainly going to Day hike locations and to see Devils Postpile and rainbow falls. Our shuttle stop was for Agnew meadows the first stop, but on our way out we went further and stopped at Devils Postpile which was worth it. If you want to avoid needing to use the shuttle for backpacking I think you can drive in during the very early morning or go during the shoulder seasons but not sure. They also seemed to have an excellent ropes/obstacle course, climbing wall, and bungee jumping available which looked fun. read more

After some thought, I feel as though the Mammoth Adventure Center deserves a couple more stars. The activities are great. One of my proudest moments was watching my young daughter complete the ropes course. If they could only improve the customer service, this would be a 5-star experience. I would start with not giving the ride attendants complete discretion to turn people away 30 minutes early, especially on quicker activities with no lines. read more

Hmmm...not sure if this review belongs here or under "Mammoth Mountain" or under the bike park, but since we don't ski, snowboard or mountain bike, I'm going to go ahead and nab this FTR! Mammoth Adventure Center is what happens to the main lodge during summer. This is where you buy your tickets to take the shuttle down to Devil's Postpile, where you rent mountain bikes for the bike park, and where you stop to take your photo with the giant mammoth. What WE stopped there for, though, was for Kid to have fun at the Adventure Park after a weekend of camping at Red's Meadow. There is so much for kids to do here...terrific climbing walls, zip lines, trampolines, and even just plain old swings! Everything is priced out individually, and the prices are pretty steep, but they do offer a $39 pass so that your kids can have at it all day. The employees here are super nice and good with kids, and much like the nearby Monument, dogs are welcome. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. My family and I had filled up our day with lakes and hikes but when we arrived at 4:35 they informed us that ticket sales closed at 4:30. My children were devastated and we made sure not to come back. We sat there watching everyone else continue their fun while we had been denied service. Even though it was 5 minutes after they still refused to sell us tickets. I argue that that is still not good customer service. read more

Not worth the money. It was not a busy day, even still, the events take so long to get through that only one or two events could be completed. We bought a 2 hour pass from 3pm to 5pm. Went here with my family to check it out. My oldest, 8, wanted to do the ropes course but the youngest, 4, was too young. We ended up having the oldest on the ropes course and the youngest tried the rock wall. The oldest had a blast. My wife went with him on the ropes course. I went with the youngest on the rock wall. He met a man from the Temecula area which is where we were from and this dude was amazing. He talked to my youngest, worked with him with the belay to help pull him so he could say he accomplished the wall. Lil dude was so proud of himself. This made his trip. Thank you read more

We spent the $40 day pass for kids 12& under which includes the climbing wall, Zip Line, bungee trampoline and a lift access to the bike park (which we didn't use). $40 is a little steep, but the kids sure enjoyed it. Not often do they get to do a zip line and the climbing wall has some varying degrees of difficulty. Staff was super friendly. read more

Today the staff at the adventure park ruined what could have been a great time. They are rude and sarcastic to the kids. $56 per child for a 2 hour session and the wait was 30-45 minutes to get on the rope and bungee course. I have never seen such rudeness from a staff anywhere EVER. We tried to complain but really no one cared. What could be a fun family time is a giant disappointment. They should all be fired for rudeness, even to the children. Don't waste your time or money. This place is the worst. read more

Pricey, but I'm glad we went. I paid $40 for an unlimited pass. My daughter got to do as many zip lines, bungee jumping, and rockclimbing as she wanted. It looks like they're also building a really cool obstacle course which should open in July. My only complaint is that it did cost $40, which is kind of a lot. I think we got our moneys worth, but if we came on a busy day, I would probably be frustrated. The ride to the top of the mountain was kind of pricey as well. I think it cost me over 30 bucks, although both of my kiddos were free. If It was a little bit cheaper, Id probably give it a four or five star review. He took time out of his busy schedule to thoroughly explain the most radical bike trail for my husband and two boys. Such a blessing to meet this guy. So helpful. So thoughtful. We brought the kids and spent about 1/2 day at the Adventure Center during our vacation to Mammoth Lakes. We were there for that length of time not because there were an endless list of activities, but because the line for some of those activities (like the zip line) are very long. We paid $15 each child for the rock climbing. If your kids make it to the top of the wall on the first go, they don't get anymore turns. You get 3 attempts to get to the top. $15 for one climb, could be the most expensive rock climb in the world. Over priced and unclear on the rules when you purchase your ticket! read more

Spent $17 for a single zip line for my kid. When inquiring about the single use pass the person we purchased the pass from and the person harnessing my kid up both said that while the pass said single use, they let them go a few times and it is not a problem. We went on the weekend and the line for zip-lining was long, like 30-45 min long! My kid went once and loved it and ran back into line for another turn. When he got to the front of the line the person at the top of the zip line told him he could not go again because he did not have the all day pass - seriously!! He just waited another 30-45 min for a second turn that everyone else said was fine, and when my husband said something to the person operating the zip line it made no difference. My kid was very disappointed. Seems very expensive for a single zip line and the all day pass at $40 is too expensive for us. I was disappointed they let him wait for a second turn and when he got to the front of the line did not let him go, that was very unkind to a little 4 year old kid. Will not be going back. read more
