Mr. Lo, or as I call him Justin now as he became a good friend to me during my case, is an amazing person, and better lawyer. The amount of effort and attention to detail that he put forth into my case to get me the best possible results, and to keep me out of jail was comforting as I could tell he cared for me and the outcome. I knew that I was in good hands the entire time because of this and his updates. My case went on for 5 months and that is because Justin knew when to pressure the court or DA, and how to do it. This resulted in something I can only call a miracle in terms of how my case turned out. Not only did Justin keep me out of jail on a drug charge, but also a severely reduced probation time. He worked extremely hard and filed motions to pressure the DA which got me these amazing results. Justin went to the crime scene with me and we ironed out all the possibilities and angles as well as mock example of how I was arrested. He went above and beyond to get every detail of what happened in order to use it in court. He also had me take pictures which he went through and used in court to prove a point about the cops line of sight and if he could have really saw what he said he saw. My point is that Justin does very hard work and he will work with you on your case to get the best possible angle of approach and to find as many angles as possible as he did with my case. Justin waited until the best possible time to handle matters in court as he understood the judge and his personality in order to catch him at his best and most favorable moments. The judge even gave me a personal speech as he cared about me and my well being. He seemed to just process everyone else, but the way Justin presented me in court and aided me sent some sort of message to the judge that I matter and that he could see that Justin had a lot of personal care for me. I feel that this rubbed off on the judge and he treated me favorably because of this. I guess what I am trying to say is that Justin presented me in a way that made me important, and that the outcome of what happened to me mattered. He gave me viable options, and he was straightforward regarding his experiences (from my vantage point, quite extensive, given his experience as both a defense attorney and as a former prosecutor) with cases such as mine. It gave me great peace of mind to speak with someone who has argued for both sides (defense and prosecution), in that he is someone who knows the judicial system well in both arenas. Mr. Lo was also forthright in what to expect for retention costs in relation to his services provided. I appreciated his honesty in telling me that his services are priced on the higher end, and that I could likely find someone at a lower cost for the needs I have. This review is definitely past due, but needed to share my great experience with Justin. This past summer I received my 2nd dui. I rolled a stop sign, and was on parole for my 1st dui still. I had consumed some alcohol, and was driving with a suspended license. The DEA wanted to give me the maximum punishment of 90 days in county jail. I was terrified especially since I am a university student and couldn't afford to miss school. I began calling lawyers, and getting different information from everyone. Some lawyers only wanted to work with me via phone calls, and were very short. Others were extremely overpriced, and made it seem like of I didn't hire them because they had "connections" I was basically screwed and was going to go to ial for 90 days no matter what. Then I contacted Justin and he spoke to me on the phone for over 30mins, and took his time to really get to hear all my concerns and explain everything to me. He didn't lie or give me false promises. He was so easy to talk to and I felt like he actually cared and wasn't just after my money like other lawyers. What I liked most is he also took the time to meet with me in person, and further discuss my case, and would always answer/return my phone calls immediately. In the end he got my sentenced reduced (which others said was impossible), and was just a great lawyer to work with.
