TERRIBLE company. I booked a hotel reservation through WA and later had to cancel due to a change in plans. WA wouldn't cancel (they said it was a non-refundable reservation) and suggested I call the hotel directly. I did that and the hotel was very accommodating. The hotel canceled, provided a cancelation number, and assured me Working Advantage / Expedia had not been charged; and would be charged. I called WA back and they refused to cancel the reservation through their system and wouldn't issue a refund. I was given the run-around for MANY hours / days. Eventually, the hotel general manager issued a written response stating they had canceled the room and hadn't charged anyone for it. I was told by WA this written response was attached to the WA case. Since then, I've asked for the exact same information from WA (name and title of who authorized the cancelation, a copy of the email, etc.). I provided this multiple times to WA - yet have not gotten a refund from them. Every time I spoke with them I was given a different "story". Shady business practices. Working Advantage's website misled us into booking a room that a hotel did not offer (four-person room; hotel only offers two-person rooms). When we attempted to cancel the room, Working Advantage asked us to do so directly through the hotel. Meanwhile, the hotel said cancellations had to happen through Working Advantage, since we booked through them. When we brought this back to Working Advantage, they suddenly claimed the room could not be canceled as it was non-refundable. This was the first we had heard of this, as a clear cancellation policy was included when we booked and in the booking confirmation email. However, Working Advantage stood by this claim, offering no evidence, and costing us more than $1,000 for a room that did not exist and which we could not use. Horrible company!!! My employer, Prudential, uses them for their employee discounts. Here's my experience: I booked a Christmas vacation to New York in June. 1. They booked me into a hotel that is closed and will not be open until 2023. I received an email from WorkIng Advantage in November that the 'hotel cancelled my reservation' and they rebooked me to another hotel. I called the original hotel and asked why my reservation was canceled. They asked if I did this through a third party. When I told them 'yes', they said that they have had problems with them because they keep showing them as an active hotel. Wprking Advantage said they would email me a new confirmation number for the hotel. I'm still waiting. 2. I booked my return flight from New York for 9:30 p.m. When I was checking my flights on the airline's app, the return flight shows as 10:59 a.m. I have reservations that day for activities!! When I called the airline, they said the third party 'Working Advantage' changed the time on August 29th!!! No notification, no email- NOTHING! When I called Working Advantage, they said the airline changed it. Ya right!! and someone will call me back in 72 hours. This company has done nothing but cause me stress and grief for something that I have planned months ahead! I am filing a complaint with my company, and I will NEVER use them again! I have asked to listen to the tapes but they claim they have no way of downloading them to send to me, another lie, how do they use the tapes for training???? I called in and fully explained the issue. The representative said that she was completing a report to get the issue corrected and that it would take 72 hours. I received an email a couple days later saying the ticket was closed and it provided information on the fees that were charged, which was not even the issue that I called in about. Each ticket price was higher than the website had advertised. Although the fees were high, that was not the issue I had called in about. Since they closed the complaint, I had to call in again and explain everything. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that none were responding and that they would call me back. I still have not heard from one. The representative also disconnected the call so that I could not complete the satisfaction survey after the call. I know it may be tempting but they are genuinely just scammers who say "total price including fees" and then don't actually include the hotel resort fees or other fees like every other booking site does. I then found this out seconds after I booked, called Working Advantage, and spoke to the person they clearly hired just to recite the same line about how "we cannot cancel your reservation under any circumstances". I then called the hotel and they said it would be no problem on their end but the scumbags at working advantage of course don't agree. Little do they know I was actually put on to Working Advantage from the company I work for with 100+ employees (: So if I don't end up getting my money back within the next few days you can guarantee HR will be cancelling our work account with them for good! I'm not one to write reviews but I feel obligated to warn others about how horrible our experience was. DO NOT BOOK WITH FLIGHTS WITH WORKING ADVANTAGE EVER. My company uses them as a discount site for employees so I thought I'd give them a try. Now I am out $415. We booked flights through them and unfortunately tested positive for covid 2 days before our flight. When we called them to figure out what to do about our flights, we were told it was the airline's policy to charge us $200 for the canceled flights. When we purchased our flights, we also purchased a "purchase guarantee" which apparently is good for nothing. When I asked them to explain what the purchase guarantee covers they continued to just say it only protects them from raising the price of our tickets! Once you buy tickets through an airline, they would never change your prices after purchase!!!!??? We explained our situation over and over again and we were told to contact the airline directly. Once we called the airline, we were told by the customer service rep that working advantage is being shady and that the airline policy is that if you cancel due to covid, that they would give us a full refund. The airline couldn't even find our reservation anymore because working advantage canceled the flights even though we told them not to do anything until we talked to the airline. We called Working Advantage back and they proceeded to apologize and say that they in fact do have a covid policy. They said we needed to send them pictures of our covid tests but would not accept at home testing results so we had to go to urgent care to get a report from a physician. We have sent them our covid reports from urgent care and were told that they will fill out paperwork and send it to the airline for review. I called today to follow up and was told that the airline denied our request for a refund and that they will fill out more paperwork and get back to us. They said "if we even get a refund it wouldn't be for 2-3 billing cycles anyway. They told me to book a new flight and when I get the refund I'll be all set. YEAH.. NO THANK YOU! When I hung up from Working Advantage, I called the airline directly and they stated they have not received any paperwork for a refund request. I called Working Advantage back and requested to speak with a manager. I was told I would get a phone call back that evening. No one called. WORKING ADVANTAGE REPS ARE LIARS. We've spent hours on the phone with them trying to get our money back and they ignore our emails and give us the run around on the phone. This company shouldn't be allowed to be in business. They don't do anything to help you and if you book through them, the airlines can't do anything to help you. My lesson has been learned and I will always book directly through the airlines going forward. I WILL BE FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. I booked a hotel through my employer corporate work perks which is offered by working advantage. The rate was non refundable. I made an honest mistake and booked a queen sized bed instead of king. I called working advantage right after I received the confirmation to see if we could fix this and after some back and forth they said their supplier could fix it but I would have to pay a penalty that was more than what I paid for the hotel reservation in order to issue a refund. How is this acceptable? Why would they even use a supplier with a policy like this? When you work in hospitality and customer service you need to have some level of understanding and compassion. We're all human and make mistakes. I was not asking for a refund. I simply made a mistake and working advantage is completely unwilling and incapable with respect to resolving it. Absolutely horrible customer service. Attempted to book 3 rooms for a trip coming up in November and when adding the 2-3 rooms the dates changed to July. I attempted to call and emailed for 48 hours and got no responses back. Once I finally got a rep on the phone and email (attempted multiple times) they said they can't help. I also called the hotel to switch/cancel the dates, they said they could change the dates once the payment was processed. Come to find out they never got payed from the company so they couldn't help either and the room was cancelled. If you want to throw money out the window use them. Update: TripPlanet (working advantage uses them for their flight tickets) is tempering search results on working advantage so I cannot use my credit. It was pretty obvious... I found tickets, called TripPlanet and they were not answering. Called working advantage- a representative gave me another phone number which didn't work. I gave up since I was at work.. tried a search a few hours later. My credit (rules of TripPlanet) requires me to use United on the way there, and American Airlines on the way back. After they figured I was ready to use my credit (called a few times and gave working advantage my name) I can't use them since they don't have the option for me. I truly believe they are tempering search results. I searched multiple cities and dates and there is the same issue: I can't find a flight to travel with United there, and come back with American. 4/24/23 was able to book my tickets for $50. It took many hours on trying to do it and definitely lots of frustration but it's better then losing $1k. Thank you Working Advantage for helping! read more

They intend to keep my money for themselves. This is $2,000 of my money... They refuse to return it to me. I intend to sue if they do not refund my credit card account directly. Absolute trash, I agree with the other reviews, do not use working advantage to book ANYTHING. We made a reservation to stay at an extended stay Homewood Suites in NJ since restaurants aren't open due to covid and we can use the kitchenette to cook food. Come time to check in we are informed that Homewood suites is all booked and that working advantage had instead booked us at the Hampton inn next door, which is not an extended stay. We had brought tons of food (Homewood has a full size fridge) which started to go bad because we were forced to stay at Hampton where they only have a mini fridge. When I called they didn't even want to admit fault and only offered for us to cancel the reservation with nowhere else to stay. Needless to say I will NOT be using them in the future.
