If you're looking for a headache or a reason not to go to the gym, this place will provide it. From the very beginning, things were handled poorly. When I signed up, my kids were added to the account and were supposed to be able to enter with either me or my wife. Every staff member I spoke with gave a different answer about how the account worked. Finally, Bryan, who said he was the manager, seemed almost eager to process the cancellation instead of trying to resolve anything. Truly disappointing service for a gym.

Instead, I was greeted by someone who clearly thought she was auditioning for the role of "Strict Rule Enforcer #1" in a dystopian film or guarding Fort Knox. No grace period. No flexibility. No empathy. Just a robotic "sorry, policy is policy" while she stared at me like I had personally ruined her week. Rules are one thing, but human decency? Apparently optional. If you're looking for an experience that combines inflexibility, rudeness, and a total lack of emotional intelligence -- look no further. A Great Place to Get Back In Shape!…read more The staff and instructors at Mindset are truly interested in you and your well-being. I took my first Tai-Chi Class today and it was a great workout. I was able to follow the instructor easily and appreciated the positive attitude everyone had. I look forward to going back tomorrow and know that I am on the right path to get health. Stop by and take a tour of their facility and see all of the classes they offer. This is a better alternative to the box gyms and you will get your money's worth here!

Best gym experience…read more I'm so glad a friend introduced me to MindSet Fitness and Yoga. I started doing circuit training, which I had never done before. I walk and bike ride and garden, but really needed to build up strength and flexibility. Some gyms I had tried before were not informed about what types of exercise someone in their 60's is capable of and they were not great with adapting things to what I could do. Travis and the other trainers are so different. They encourage you to do your best, but are ready to adapt different exercises to your level. We go 2 to 3x a week and I can't believe the difference. You are never left on your own, someone is always there helping you and making sure you are not doing an exercise safely. Luis and Becky are so helpful. Here is another thing I really like. The circuit class is almost all day. You go when you can, you are never late to class, and you come when you can and warm up, then do the circuit for that day. It is different and challenging. Travis has adapted exercises for my husband too. His work with MS helps him with understanding any conditions or injuries. Yolanda's yoga class is also really great. She helps us stay strong and flexible. The friendly encouragement and fun from all the folks at the gym helps the workout go fast. The atmosphere is much better and you can tell people take their workout seriously. It is smaller and there's some equipment I miss, but overall its a better gym. Staff seems friendly and I see them clean quite a bit. Don't really ever have to wait for a rack as they have 2 platform half racks and another one in a different area that has a landmine. The machines I've used feel pretty smooth and I notice pretty much everyone wipes them down when they're done. They have 3 bench press stations that are pretty sweet! You can change the angle in increments of 5% on decline and incline. Something I also really like is they have a nice standing and seated calf machine. Also a pretty good variety of attachments for the pulley machines. Wish they had heavier dumbbells though, as I can't do DB rows with straps anymore unless I wanna do like 40+ reps. I know that sounds crazy, but when you strap up you'd be surprised how much you're limiting your back gainz yo. But they have a landmine where you can load the weight up and do the same type of row. Oh and if you know what a glute ham raise is they have it! I love that thing and have been using it twice a week and am still getting stronger at it. They have a cool turf area in the back where you can do a variety of things, but unfortunately all it can take is 1 person in the area and you can no longer drag the sled/tire around or do farmer walks which are things I really like to do. Also, I honestly feel kind of bad when I do it because I feel like I'm hogging the area. If there was just a little more square feet it would be absolutely perfect. The only really legit complaint I have is the water temperature is not consistent in the showers(its usually cold or lukewarm). If that could be fixed that would be great. Cold water is fine now, but its pretty miserable once you get to the winter time. Even with a few things I don't like I highly recommend this gym and think that you will really like it too!
