STAY AWAY! After reassurance that we wouldn't be charged another month after cancellation by a MANAGER, here we are MONTHS later and TWICE spaced out 40 days they've charged the monthly membership fee!!! We moved hours away from there BACK IN JANUARY AND CANCELLED, and are still randomly being charged the membership fee. WE'RE NO LONGER MEMBERS!! We aren't under any contract with them! PREDATORY THEFT is what that is!! STAY AWAY!!! HORRIBLE INDUSTRY! ADDING: I shouldn't have to contact anyone else about cancelling! That's absolutely absurd! WE'VE ALREADY CANCELED! Long time member. I used to love this place. But since new management came in, I'm no longer a member. I am a senior citizen on Social Security and I get this membership through Silver & Fit. I opted for the PREMIUM membership. When it came time to renew They wanted to charge me upfront $35 for premium plus $10 a monthwhich I decided to cancel my membership. They kept charging my credit card & charging me a $20 late charge if it was 1 day late. I don't control the day that my Social Security check comes in. Every month it falls on a different day. Then they turned it over to an attorney collection, even though I'm no. Well, I'm about to turn it over to my attorney and the attorney general here in North Carolina. read more

I was automatically charged for renewal after 1 year but told verbally when I signed up that they would Not Do this. I specifically asked if this is their policy at the time that I signed up. Then I called corporate to investigate and cancel my membership and was told it is on the local company to cancel my membership-total non sense. Also, their doors are currently shuttered from this virus. This isn't the first issue I've had with them. My account was overcharged 2 months ago and I was told 2x by different workers who has spoken with their managers that the money would be put back and it never was. Having been a member of much larger Gyms and at a much higher price.....work outs at Any Time in Weaverville is a breath of fresh air. They offer a little bit of every piece of equipment you might find in a larger gym but a monthly membership that's around half of what you normally would pay them for us folks live in Weaverville we no longer have to make that 10+ mile one-way commute to the bigger gyms that Asheville. My husband and I recognized the need for a gym and the worth of a trainer once we escaped the forced "Covid Hibernation" of the last two years. I diligently sought a gym that would allow me to pay for all services upfront as I did not want to disclose sensitive banking information or sign up for automatic debits. Tentatively, I stepped into Workout Anytime on Weaver Boulevard in Weaverville, N.C. A young woman stepped forward to answer my questions and assist in signing both my husband and me for a year's membership along with a personal trainer for what I understood to be a three month period. At first, she indicated there was no possible way for me to pay in full as the gym required our banking information in order to make the required automated debit from our account. When I balked at that and explained I was willing to pay for the entire membership and the shortest length of time offered with a trainer, she relented a bit and explained she could do as I asked, but there would be a $40 fee per person NOT to have the membership fees automatically debited. I said, "Wait a minute. You actually want to charge me for paying cash for everything before I even start?!" She must have recognized the folly of what she had said because as I rose to leave, she suddenly offered, "But I think I have some way to waive that $40 fee. So I sat back down and listened to the woman explain the parameters of the contract I was about to sign. At one point she asked for my checking account information, "just to have it on file". I confessed that I was extremely uncomfortable disclosing that information. She responded, "No problem". When she tallied everything up...a year's membership for two and what I understood to be the services of a personal trainer once a week for an hour, with both my husband and I ,for three months in succession...she took my bank card and "rang up the sale" I was told I was paying $240 per person for a yearly membership and $384.00 for a personal trainer for three months. I signed all the forms on her IPAD and trusted her honesty. Importantly, one of those forms was the waiver of the $40 fee for the privilege of paying upfront. Our trainer, Adam, was a skilled motivator and his expertise made our experience genuinely positive...for four weeks. On the fifth week, I was shocked to see a $384.00 automatic debit from my bank account and called the gym immediately, Remaining calm and respectful, I explained my dilemma and was informed that despite my strenuous effort to do otherwise, I had signed up for a MONTHLY automatic debit from my banking account in the amount of $384.00 for three months and there was absolutely nothing I could do about it. I made every effort to respect the chain of command with my complaint. No one responded. Now, I could have misunderstood the length of time we solicited the personal trainer. I could have heard a different figure when I asked the cost of three months of personal training. It's highly unlikely. But I can't prove otherwise. What I can prove is the waiver of the $40 fee per person to NOT have my account auto-debited. And if I recall correctly, this is exactly the same problem Wells Fargo had with their consumers several years ago. In that case, the bank was making unauthorized debits to customers accounts. The courts found in favor of consumers in what might be one of the biggest consumer/fraud business court battles to date. Hummm....I'm going to look up the name of those attorneys. Be very careful. We were members pre covid and were quite happy with the facilities. We kept our membership current for four months. We are now moving out of state and were told twice that we had to bring proof that we were moving in order to cancel! ( We do not have a contract are month to month members). We were also told we could cancel on the website ( where it explicitly states you cannot cancel on the web!) We finally got someone to agree to cancel the membership after telling them we would just go to our credit card company and do it that way. They insisted we come in person despite Covid restrictions. Workout Anytime Weaverville is the best gym in Weaverville. I have always been skeptical about going to a gym. I run a lot outdoors and was beginning to get burnt out with it. So I decided to checkout some gyms. I went to WOA Weaverville and when you walk through the door you are greeted with smiling friendly faces. The staff really cares about you and treats you like family. You Will have an abundant amount of cardio machines, weights both machine and free weights. They have the Sprint 8 and MX4 classes. Oh and did I mention they have tanning and Hydromassge beds. The gym is well maintained and clean. Delaney Taylor and Josh Chandler are amazing trainers. They are both knowledgeable and very helpful. They will encourage you and push you to be your best. They have so much to offer! If your looking to join a gym you should definitely come to Workout Anytime Weaverville! read more

I started my membership here yesterday. Matt assisted me with getting started and gave me a tour of the gym. The gym is super clean and set up in a nice organized manner! I signed up for the premium membership which includes 24/7 access to the gym, tanning, hydro massage chairs, and a body scan that you can do each month that tracks your progress! The locker rooms are small but are still very nice and clean. They play great music and have lots of TVs to watch while you're burning those calories! Free WiFi is also a plus! I only wish that the tanning beds were available during unstaffed hours too. During the week they are only staffed from 9-7pm. Which makes it a little annoying for us early risers. Other than that though I can't wait to to start my journey at this brand new gym! read more

The policy they have will continue to be billed to your account and require you either to personally stop in their office to cancel it, or to jump through hoops online. They will bill you far in excess and continue doings so with no reply to your emails until you go through that very specific process. read more

Abysmal customer service. I spent thousands of dollars here on personal training. After I tried to cancel my membership because I was uncomfortable working out in a gym where they allow people to use the equipment without wearing masks in the tiny, confined space- they told me I have to remain a member for another 30 days, and have charged me the monthly $39 twice in the past two weeks. The staff is great! Equipment is excellent. Went in to sign up for the challenge on a Friday night last week and only one staff member on duty. Nikki was supportive and friendly, once the line cleared enough for me to get to her. She handled herself professionally and positively. Appreciated her being able to take time to take my before photos, even with customers waiting. As for trainers- they are GREAT also. I have had four sessions with Josh and would recommend him for setting up a training program. Look forward to my transformation before my wedding and then sustaining this new lifestyle. read more

Went for my 2 week free trial only to discover that this gym does not clean their equipment(EVER). The elliptical, bikes, treadmills are filthy. The dust/sweat/hair on the bottom of the machines look like they never been wiped. I don't know about you, but that is not what i want to look at while working out. GROSS!! There is carpet under the machines, which is impossible to clean sweat off. I sent an e-mail out to corporate to notify them of the uncleanliness, guess what, no reply. So,if you don't mind the filth, then you have an excellent selection of machines to work with. HAVE FUN! read more
