With one fee you have access to tons of group classes, workout equipment, pools, saunas and hot tubs (just not this location), sports courts, childcare, and more! They often offer addition programming or sports leagues as well based on interest. Plus, you're supporting an organization that helps the community vs putting money into some CEO's pocket. The food bank run out of this location is an excellent volunteer opportunity as well. Everyone is so friendly - staff and fellow gym-goers, and it's not pretentious. Anyone of all ages and fitness abilities can go here and feel comfortable working out. The instructors and trainers are excellent and willing to help with anything you could need. The staff know you by name and listen to any concerns you may have. They're always looking for ways to improve. Do I wish the building was newer and included things other gyms have? This franchise uses a third party billing system called peak payment solutions to extract money…read morefrom their members. Even if you are not under any sort of contract or commitment they will not allow you to cancel your membership directly. You are instead instructed to address it with the billing company. This makes it next to impossible to cancel the membership, so your only course of action is to simply stop paying them. Then Peak payment solutions will immediately start charging you late fees and will start threatening collections and calling relentlessly within a week of a missed payment. It is illegal to try to extort payment out of people, who are under zero contractual commitment to pay you, by threatening collection.

Gold's has a spacious work out area (including a small private space for women). They have an incredible array of machines, from aerobics, (stairs, ladders, rowing, elliptical) to all the various free weights and equipment for targeted exercises by several brands. There is seldom a wait time to get on a machine. My favorite regular class is Yoga with Pharrell. There are a range of classes by type and fitness levels. A cross section of society makes up the clientele and they are serious about staying in shape. There is always parking and staff are friendly and helpful.

It is very nice to have talented trainers that shape the workouts, so that I don't have to wander around a jungle of weight machines, wondering what you should do next.
