I would like to preface this with the fact that I do not often leave reviews, but as someone who has been treated with the utmost respect and so well here at Workshop MB; I find myself having to share it with the world! Upon entering, I was greeted by Matthew who gave me a very fare price on a piece of mind inspection compared to what the Mercedes dealerships were offering. He was knowledegeable, respectful and most importantly honest when it came to my car (2010 ML350 BlueTec), giving me tips and tricks to making sure that I would have my baby running as long as possible. If you are in need of a new mechanic and have trust issues when it comes to mechanics with your car, give Matthew and Workshop MB a shot. Trust me, you won't regret it! read more

MATTHEW is the man!! I recently purchased a 2007 Mercedes S-Class and two days after I took it home, it wouldn't start. I took it to my friend's garage and he tried his best but couldn't isolate the problem He referred me to an Electrical specialist nearby. He worked on the vehicle for several hours but couldn't find the problem. Then my original mechanic recommended Matthew at Workshop MB. Frankly, I was hesitant so I called Mercedes to make an appointment. They told me the earliest appointment I could get was May 15th, over 4 weeks away!! (Don't believe me?? Call them!!) Matthew took over the situation, assured me he would run a battery of tests overnight and isolate the problem It turned out to be something called a Signal Acquisition Module . They are extremely expensive, however, Matthew took one out of another vehicle to save me money. He could have easily ordered the new part, jacked up the price of it and made a larger profit but he is obviously a man of integrity who goes "above and beyond" to take care of his customers. If you are out of warranty, why would you take your vehicle to a Mercedes dealer and get gouged by their outrageous prices? That cappuccino you are sipping on in the Customer Lounge isn't free ..... I guarantee it. Matthew gave me excellent advice on a reasonable, inexpensive maintenance schedule to maximize the life of my 10-year-old vehicle. It is VERY reassuring to know that, if anything happens to my vehicle, I have an HONEST, reasonably priced mechanic who knows these vehicles inside and out. Give this shop a try .... you won't regret it!! read more

Make An Appointment a few days in advance, only to get there the day of, and i guess the 1 mechanic is not even there, waited for 30 mins and left, if my time and appointment is not important to them, then they do not need my business. thanks read more

Workshop MB IS AMAZING!!! Matt knows Mercedes from top to bottom. Someone you can rely on to fix your car right the first time. He has been servicing my car for several years now. I believe him to be trustworthy and his work is fairly priced. I highly recommend Matt and his team. read more

If you aren't giving him good business or constant business just don't even bother with it because you will be soo unhappy you would wish you didn't even have a car! The worst car service you will ever come across...I trusted all these reviews but trust me once you go after a couple times you will never want to go back! Just excuses after excuses and sometimes doesn't have a clue what's going on...Don't say I didn't warn you guys! read more

I live in Chicago and occasionally make the trip to Toronto to visit friends. Several years ago I sprung a coolant leak as I arrived in my 2000 E430. I found Matt thru some online MB forums and gave his shop a try. He was extremely helpful and had my car ready (over the weekend) in time to leave the following week. Again, a few weeks ago I cracked the exhaust manifold on my 2005 E55 enroute to Toronto. I dropped the car off to Matt and they were able to locate and install a replacement in a matter of days. They have a nice, new shop in North York. Highly recommended! read more

You'll never find this place unless you were referred by a friend or extensive search in google or…read moreyellow pages. But when you do find them it'll be hard to go anywhere else. It's a small team working here, Ly and Jon are the mechanics I've dealt with. They provide superior customer service and honest timeline and issues with car. Thy were able to pinpoint issues quickly and provide a quick service turnaround. Despite the shop being small, they manage and runs a clean shop. The cost of service is a lot cheaper than heading into a dealer. Bonus! I've come here several times for many maintenance and service due dates for my car and each experience has been great. Anyone who comes here should be greatly satisfied as well. Peace out!

I own a 2012 Mercedes C300. Bought the car at a mom and pop dealer. Very satisfied with the car. The warning came up on the dash display Service B. Visit Workshop. I called Mercedes Mississauga and after 5 phone calls and being on hold for 1 hour. The service advisor gave me a quote. He said usually it is around $1000 but if it needs extra work we will notify you and ask for authorization before performing any additonal work.He said that does not include brake and coolant flush, which is usually another $400. My car has 40000 kms. When i google searched service b. i thought that price was ridiculous. I google searched for an independant Mercedes garage, which offers mercedes service at a reasonable price. and WORKSHOP MB continously showed up on mercedes forums, facebook, instagram, twitter and so on. I Read numerous positive reviews. Made the clear assumption Matthew Hofer is the owner. So I decided to give Workshop MB a call. I called and asked for Matthew Hofer. Reception very politely said he is very busy, I can help you with anything you would like. I asked for a price for service B. and availability when I can bring my car in. Seconds later she came back and told me. I can come in tomorrow morning anytime I like and the cost is $499. re assured me its the exact same work done like a mercedes dealer. and to bring my service booklet in to get filled out and a stamp of authenticity so my dealer warranty will not get voided. Next day i went to Workshop MB. met Matthew Hofer. BTW. VERY VERY nice guy. very knowledgeable about Mercedes. The shop is spotless. the waiting room spotless. They brought my car in immediately. Showed me the checklist for service b that they would be performing. The job was done in about 2 hours. the car runs amazing. Also when i was in the customer lounge i was talking to other mercedes owners who have been coming to Workshop MB for years. And only had pleasant things to say. Overall i am very satisfied. Hopefully my car does not break down. But now I have peace of mind , that i know somewhere to get it fixed. Thank you very very much Matthew Hofer and all the staff at Workshop MB for the great professional service you offer. read more

My Mercedes broke down and the tow truck that picked me up recommended that i take the car to Workshop MB , I never heard of the place so i agreed and took the car there. The shop is located in a back of a building there was a lot of mercedes and bmws back there it is hard to find the first time. I talked to the owner Matthew and he assured me he can fix my car, so i left the car with him. To much of my surprise he called me an hour later and said the alternator was gone. He gave me the option to put a rebuilt one in or a used one. They also sell used auto parts there. I ended up putting the rebuilt one in and the car was done at the end of the day. I picked the car up and didn't leave my wallet behind i was very surprised and happy with the service i will be going there again and recommend this shop to others. read more

Found this place google searching for Mercedes Independant repair in Toronto. Brought my 2012 S63 AMG there for the second service. Mercedes wanted over $2000 which I thought was crazy. Spoke to the owner on the phone Matthew Hofer. He informed me and reassured me passenger cars with less than 20000kms don't need that big of service done. I brought my car to Workshop MB. Second service was done for less than $500. Very pleased. They even filled my service book out with a Mercedes dealer warranty approved stamp. I will be back definitely. Recommended all my friends and family to go there and meet the cool group of staff that work at Workshop MB. Thank you Matthew Hofer. Pleasure doing business with your organization. read more
