My only knock is due to construction the airport was a little confusing. For instance Zone 5 is actually two separate sections and you can't see each other. Minor nit. Half of baggage claim six was inaccessible from blocked off construction so bags got stuck on the other side... but construction workers helped people. Mine was stuck in a closed AA office because it arrived early so they had it better.

I had a very disappointing experience flying with Southwest. I'm a Southwest credit card holder and…read morehave always expected better customer service than what I received. At the gate, I was carrying a CPAP machine (which is a medical device), a carry-on bag, and a very small fanny pack that was approximately 3 x 4 inches. The gate agent rushed me and told me I needed to condense everything immediately. She showed no concern that one of the items I was carrying was a CPAP machine, which is considered a medical device and is generally not counted as a standard carry-on. I was also carrying it for my father, who has severe arthritis and has difficulty carrying his own belongings. While I was being rushed, I told my mother, "How irritating." I was expressing my frustration to my mom--I was not speaking to or directing the comment at the gate agent. Despite that, after I boarded the plane, the gate agent stopped my mother and told her they would remove me from the flight simply because I had said, "How irritating." Which seems kind of taking your rights away. Does southwest not believe in freedom of speech?? Do I have to be careful what I tell my mother or I'm going to get thrown out ?? The interaction felt unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional . Whether this was due to poor training, a power trip, or something else , no passenger should be treated this way, especially when traveling with medical equipment. Southwest, please do better. Train your employees on the policies regarding medical devices such as CPAP machines, and remind them that passengers deserve to be treated with professionalism and respect, even during stressful boarding situations.

Wowzers! These…read morereviews are pretty harsh! I actually like to shop the duty-free stores depending on where I am traveling to. I noticed that I can get some inexpensive liquor or perfumes in some locations then if I was to buy in the stores in high ass California! The duty-free shop in Houston is nicely stocked with liquor and name brand colognes and perfumes. During my trip headed to Trinidad, I decided to come here and buy some perfume and some small liquor shops for the flight (and the dreaded t hour layover wait). This store came in handy, trust me! For the liquor, you can purchase up to two bottles per person and it doesn't count as a carry-on. Bingo! You winning, baby! Remember, during check-out, they will ask you for your boarding pass, so be prepared. The staff in the store was all helpful (although they follow you around like a hawk!). They really market those "sales". Make sure you do the math to see if the sales are true "sales". You know those salespeople be trynna' sale you ANYTHING! Lines can be long depending on what time of the day you arrive. Happy shopping and safe travels!

Once she acknowledged me the process of the purchasing my duty-free liquor was quick and painless. I was given a receipt for my purchase and picked up at the gate right before boarding. I am happy I was right by my gate or this could have been an issue with boarding times. I will note that it is quite dumb to give the duty-free item at the gate as you are getting on the plane. I had no time to get the liquor into my carry on bag until I was already on the flight. The process makes more sense in other countries where you are given the item at check out but this is not Dufry's fault.

Terminal 2 was clear when I arrived so I didn't have to run through a bunch of people, it was a pleasant arrival. Signage for bag claim and shuttles could've been slightly better. I was able to navigate fairly easily for the most part, however it seems the closer you get to your destination it's easier to get confused or lost. I adored the astronaut cow near the IAH entrance and the big photo-op letters! The quirky cowboy aesthetic was phenomenal. I arrived during the World Cup so the airport had plenty of soccer mannequins and memorabilia. Gift shops had space suits and Astros merch. The gentlemen at the shuttle/rideshare area were so nice! They gave me thorough directions on where to locate The Parking Spot shuttle. Additionally, when I returned a few days later for departure I had a favorable experience with a Clear TSA agent, she was very polite and helpful. I never have heartwarming experiences with TSA, I did here! She walked me through the fast lane process and brought levity to a stressful environment for many. Seats are comfortable in the terminals, bathrooms could be cleaner. I saw some trash on the floor in the men's restroom.

Easy to navigate. Lots of shops and restaurants to spend time at while waiting for flights. Clean and well-maintained.
