Cheapest propane price. Great service. They schedule in advance and were prompt on exact date. Excellent equipment used.

We had been customers of World Famous Propane for four years, before we changed to another company. We went with them since the previous owner used them and we have friends that use them as well. From the beginning we had a strong odor of gas from our tank. WFP told us this was normal and just vapors from the tank. Thinking they were professional, we thought they knew what they were telling us. Almost every month we were filling up and we just thought that was normal. We had people over and everyone said, "why does it smell like gas"? Finally, we had a friend come over and confirmed we needed a new regulator. He changed it and the odor was gone, and we didn't need to refill every month, until we started using the heater again. Also, I called to see if they could offer a better price on propane. We were being charged $3.899 per gallon and the price would never change, for over two years straight. AND one fill-up was over $5.139 on 3/19/2022. They would not lower the price, so I dropped them. I can tell you we've saved well over $1,000 a year, by switching. Our average cost per gallon is $2.40 now. read more

The tank is like too expensive if the sell for six hundred I might well, Do not understand the contract it supposed to be like sixty five per year .but the gas it dangerous if don't have a liable person to help you with. It got smell and sometimes. When summer it too hot no cold water even I put in low position. It go over hundred that day real I remember one day it go up to 114 degrees I really felt bad can't sleep even the AC on the windows not cool enough. Because that window AC only cover over six hundred . Not 918 square feeds. Didn't remember what year. Yes you heard right 114 degrees Crazy came back at five pm still hot. I have been a client since 2015. Due to life's circumstances we are having to sell our property. I was asked by my Realtor to obtain my service agreement with World Famous. As I did I reflected on times when I did not check the tank like I should of or when my kids left the spa in for 8 hours and ran us down without telling me. I will tell you that I did not have a truck on my doorstep in hours but that is an unreasonable expectation. I can tell you this is really a FAMILY run company. Support them! I can tell you that everyone I have spoken with or has come to our home is responsive, hard working and will do there best at all times. Do just want to start by saying we filled our tank last month..... we are in 100% quarantine mode qnd rely every day on our jacuzzi for the kids!! So I happened to heat the pool a couple times and didn't think anything of it! Than I checked the levels on Monday, less than 5%! I called 3 different propane companies in my area and World Famous' pricing was the lowest. The owner, Mike called me to set up an installation appointment and he had Cuco out at my property the very next week. He was on time, fast and professional. I had a tank from another company in a not so easy to access location, but Cuco was able to move the old tank out of the way and put in my new tank in no time. Gina in the office is AMAZING. They are great! I never had propane before and had a big learning curve. I had some horrible experiences with Amerigas and am extremely lucky I found these guys. First of all is the price... They are almost always half the price of Amerigas. Second is the service. We live off the beaten path, and when they have a truck up this way, they will give me a call to see if I want a fill up. Changing propane providers when you don't own your own tank is a bit more of a commitment than going to dinner so you want to make sure the folks you do business with are reliable. These guys are reliable and friendly. We've been using World Famous for about three years and couldn't be happier. They've provided us with fabulous customer service and very good prices as well. We were offered several attractive options before signing on and everything was clearly explained to us, in detail. There were no surprises. The tank was installed the next day and despite being in a tricky location, the install was clean and professional. They monitor usage (I do too) so you don't run out of propane. The front office staff is friendly and helpful and, best of all, they aren't just message takers. You can get answers and help. And, the owner is a pretty nice guy. read more

Wow!!! I've been calling this company for the last few weeks asking for the person in charge to please call me to no avail. I'm guessing that business must be great to ignore a new client that needs gas. So, I made one last attempt to reach out... I called again to only have some guy that talked so fast or, the worst English ever. I said, "bro, I can't understand a thing you are saying and just hung up! He calls back from a different number of, 951-314-9914 ( I'm guessing a cellphone) and starts yelling at me, threatening my life. Who does this stuff. Use caution with this company or, find someone else. This company has, at this moment, 15 reviews and, 39 reviews that are not recommend. I'm going to guess that ,they and their employees and friends write a lot of their reviews. If you see other companies on Yelp, their "not recommend reviews" are usually around half of the recommended reviews. Be warned!!!! read more

I've used World Famous Propane since 2018 & they have always taken great care of me. Great prices and amazing service! I recently had my bf move in and he has 2 dogs. I notified them so they would know that they need to schedule with me as to when they can come fill. They are always happy to work with me to make sure everyone is safe (including our dogs). I go out of my way to make sure things are as easy as possible for them to fill my tank including having our dogs put away for them. They appreciate it and it helps them to get their job done faster and safely. read more

We called World Famous Propane the minute the Ortega was open after the Holy Fire... we had been without power for days, only had 12% left in the propane tank. Gena said she would do her best to reschedule others. The next morning, neighbors called saying they saw the truck coming up the hill!!! After a horrible week without access to the world, staying up here to feed and cook for the fire fighters, we appreciated others allowing us to have emergency service and priority. WE THANK YOU! The owner Mike is an absolute arrogant prick.he had the i audacity to throw a big fit like a child because my wife told him he couldn't just walk in our property without calling us and letting us know first. We have lived at this property for 5 years and for 5 years we have used their service and every time they came in the past they have called first. And now out of the blues because he fired the guy which was extremely respectful and professionl. The total opposite of what Mike the owner is. I guess he thought because he owned the company he could switch things up without even telling his customers. The thing he doesn't understand is that we have dogs and for his own safety we had asked him not to just walk in so that he didn't get bit. After sitting there and arguing with my wife for about 10 to 15 minutes he pretty much told us that if we didn't like his conditions, he would just stop coming out ... After YEARS of being held hostage by Amerigas, with the deceit, and utter unprofessionalism (rude) and high prices, we finally made the switch. World Famous got back to us immediately, came out and took a look at the set up, and within a few days came out and put in our new propane tank. Nice extra? Tried to get some smaller tanks filled, approx 50gal for a really nice propane fireplace. The lady told me they won't do small tanks because it isn't worth the trip if they aren't making at least 100 bucks. I didn't think that was nice of them but everyone runs their business how they choose. As a business owner I would have been more accommodating and perhaps scheduled the trip in while I was already filling tanks in the area but that's just my customer service. read more

When we bought our new home we knew nothing about being on propane. Being we were doing the work ourselves, I started calling all the well known companies asking what do we need do to set up for propane. No one would answer my questions much less willing to give me advice. Then I found World Famous, small company but BIG on customer service. Gina was so nice, she listened to me & gave me info on how to get started. Even when I would call her multiple times a week with more questions she was always willing to help & nice didn't make me feel like I was bothersome. Then I spoke to Cuoco the driver, he first stopped by our place after work to see what had & didn't have to hookup. Over a course of several phone calls, early morning before work visits & after work visits. Thanks to Cuoco We had propane, no more cold showers & no more cooking on the camp stove. They care about you as a friend not just a customer they sell propane too. When We see Cuoco around town it's always a visit with a friend. Evidently there's a lack of disclosure regarding your fees when your customers order services from you. This is my first time using propane and I feel its logical to disclose your "regulations", requirements, and fees upfront to your customers so they are well informed and prepared. Most people who have not used propane before don't know about its safety issues nor what is involved to hook up service. Its unbelievable to everyone that was involved in this situation that you defend your actions. No one is arguing about what fees you charge. Its that you don't disclose anything what-so-ever regarding requirements, safety issues with locks, or the fees you charge prior to your customers ordering your service. Its the logical and honest thing to do in any company. It would make everything very clear if you had a written description or invoice indicating all the requirements that need to be in working order prior to your installation as well as the fees you charge if those requirements are not completed. Surprising customers with your fees "after" locking the tank is wrong and immoral. Obviously, you are not aware of the conversations that take place when customers order your product or maybe you are and feel it's okay to surprise your customers. I'm sure if this happened to you with a product you ordered that you're not familiar with, you too would be upset like anyone would. A simple, "I'm sorry" would have made a huge difference, but frankly, I'm not surprised by your reply and defending your "procedures". This is why I don't want any other customer to go through what I went through with World Famous Propane. I was also unaware as I continuously stated that no one at your company disclosed fees to me other than the cost of the propane and installation. You have been misinformed as you stated I agreed to these extra charges. I suggest you get everything disclosed in writing so everyone is informed and there's no questions regarding what is agreed to. Customers anywhere want to know about any and all fees prior to agreeing to any work. That's not too much to ask yet you defend this procedure you have and will not agree to allow your customers such disclosures. Obviously, you wouldn't have this issue again if you were honest with the fees upfront prior to your services. (This was another complaint/review on Yelp from another one of your customers.) Peterson Properties strives themselves on disclosing all fees and information upfront verbally and in writing so our clients have absolutely no questions as to our services. We treat others as we want to be treated. If you have any proof that I agreed to these extra charges, please send that to me. Unfortunately, you won't be able to provide that as I was never informed of these charges until after you locked the tank we already paid for. No matter how you defend it, logically, your procedures need to be improved. Putting down your customer's integrity as a reply shows your lack of care and focus to improve your company to give the best services possible to all your customers. read more

We love World Famous and have gotten the best service and prices of any propane provider in the Fallbrook area. We've tried everyone, over the years, that would come out to Rainbow and fill our owned tanks. They are a smaller outfit, so we've come to understand we can't expect them to come out with a day's notice like Amerigas. But then Amerigas and Kamps are HUGE and are really awful to deal with, and usually about a dollar more a gallon than WFP. So, we know we have to let them know we want gas ahead of time, allow them time to schedule, and then when they have enough in the area to make the run economically, they're here with great prices, and great customer service. "Economically," is the key word here. To save a dollar a gallon, and get treated well, planning ahead is worth it to us here. The way they do business is designed to save me money, so that $1.00 a gallon savings is definitely worth our having to plan ahead. You can get gas the next day with Amerigas, and in a week with Kamps (when they answer their phones)...but expect sticker shock. (And if you ask Kamps to give you 150 gallons, they might FILL the whole tank anyway and expect prompt payment, without apology.) We only go elsewhere now when we goof up and forget to monitor our tank and need propane right away. Dang! I've always been really happy with World Famous' delivery drivers, customer service phone reps, and the owner, himself; Mike when we've had a question. read more

This company is terrible. I bought a home on propane, world famous is what was already installed so we thought it would be fine to set up a account with them in our name. This seemed fine until we actually needed them to come fill us up. They expected me to pay the previous owners bill (I still did not have anything set up in my name) or they would not come fill the tank. Less than 24 hours after telling me the old owner did not pay they called to tell me they'll come lock and disconnect the tank if I don't pay HIS bill. Rene (who is awful) told me I had 24 hours to pay or they'd come out. I have a 6 month old baby and when I told Rene it was not her problem. By the time I got home , maybe 4 hours later, the tank was locked and disconnected. So during winter with a baby they had no problem leaving us without. The bill was not at all mine yet they decided to try and hold me accountable for a previous owners bill. Unacceptable. read more

I used this company for about 18 months or so. They had a great price. I never had any problems while I was using there service until I left that rental house and moved to an all electric house that didn't need propane. I had just had the tank filled a couple months earlier so I had some investment in that tank. When I called to say I won't be needing propane anymore and the new tenants would be taking over the tank they said I couldn't get a refund on the propane that was in there and I would just have to eat it. But they were going to charge the new tenants for a full tank of propane, so they were selling the propane twice. I talked with the girl in the office and she talked to the owner(who would never get on the phone) and we went back and forth over about a dozen phone calls. Finally they said if I installed a propane tank at my all electric house and converted everything over they would give me some free propane but only if I did it in a couple months. That wasn't really useful because we were doing a full remodel and it was going to take a while to do very everything. So long and short is, great price, medium service, but if you leave, you leave the propane you paid for behind, no refunds like there competitors. So something to think about if your only going to be some where for a year or two. read more
