They have mostly Russian products, there's also Japanese, Swiss, Turkish and much more. Their prices are higher since the products are imported. The name is misleading since there is no Cafe. You can certainly buy everything necessary and have it at home. They also have some fresh, and some unique fruits and vegetables. called the store specifically to ask if you still had seaweed salad. The employee told me that there was none left and that I wouldn't make it in time. I asked them to please double-check, but the response I received was basically, "What else do you want me to do? There's none left." I drove to the store specifically because I needed it, only to find an entire refrigerator stocked with seaweed salad -- literally about half of the refrigerator was full. I called back to ask why I was given completely incorrect information. Nobody answered my calls, and the calls were being declined. On top of that, I expect employees to communicate with customers respectfully and professionally over the phone. There is no reason to speak to customers rudely or dismissively. Very disappointing customer service. If you don't know whether an item is in stock, simply say that you're not sure and check. I used to be a regular customer. Came to purchase a certain item. The item was not available till next week. Store looked especially dirty, the produce did not look fresh, so my purchases did not add up to $10. I normally do not carry cash. The cashier refused to take my credit card. Luckily Euroland across the street had a much better variety, and they had no problem taking credit card for any purchase (plus this time my purchases well exceeded $10). read more

I had an extremely unpleasant experience at The World Market in Hollywood. After spending half an hour shopping and another half hour waiting in line, something very unpleasant happened. I picked up a loaf of bread, but the plastic tie that sealed it slipped off. I held the bread, looked at it, and decided I had every right not to buy it if I didn't want to. I put it back on the shelf. At the register, the employee accused me in a very arrogant tone, saying she saw what I did, that I wasn't going to buy it, and because of that, I wasn't allowed to buy anything else there. She took all the products I had purchased, and I left extremely frustrated. I don't care about shopping there again, but it's not normal to be treated like that, just because a tag slipped off. One of the best European markets! I found this place last year after a Christmas event in Hollywood. The store is small and the isles are packed with imported goods. It's hard to maneuver your cart but be patient, it's all worth it. I absolutely love their long stem roses. Their cakes are fascinating with such intricate detail. Their produce is fresh due to the amount of people shopping there. Head cheese was a wonderful find. My grandfather liked that very much. The lox is excellent quality and always available. After asking him to discuss the problem in the office, he rejected my request with words "Let everyone hear". What was it? Was it the act of professionflism ? It's noticeble that the store is declining and deteriorating in quality and ethics. Beside of everything that I wrote and stated, I would like to remind or draw your attention that during 9 years, I left in your store around $40K, and in last 3.5 years (after openning Euroland, NetCoast and Aldi) additional $9K - $10K that came in totall $49K - $50K. And it is minimum! You pay salary to your employees who sometimes forget that they work in the USA. However, finally, as a result, me and other customers are getting rudness and boorishness from your employees for our own money that were paied in WM&C. Is it ashameful ? I finally stopped in. I was taken back to my NY days of outdoor fresh fruit stands and Russian grocery stores dotting the neighborhood. There is a huge selection of different ethnic foods, prepared foods, meats, cheeses, salads, etc. The prices seemed very reasonable as well. It does get busy with lots of shopping carts coming from all directions but I will certainly return to try more unique items. read more

Have been Shoping here for years . I like all the imported jar stuff . I recently went in to buy raw honey , jams you can't get in the local market . I also love the the potato knishes. The bread selection is awesome and I love you can get lox cheap . The produce section is nice but I prefer to buy my produce elsewhere because I am super picky vegan . Every time I am here I buy some of the candy and pastries as well as the sea weed salad and carrot salad . Cod Liver.. and tomorrow, I'm going to get me some mackerel. Walmart & Amazon sell smoked sardines, but they are more expensive. Costco sells them, but they are too far away from Hollywood. I have passed this place over a thousand times. I always see people buying the fruit outside. I figured they have s high turnover. I went into today and the fruit to me was definitely second quality for the price. I opened my gooseberries there was one that was moldy. That never happens at WF when I buy there. Oh, what luck! I had a craving for black bread, we were driving around attempting to kill time, and we happened to pass by this Russian market. We stopped and found that it's essentially a little supermarket. The place is a bit dated and there were many expats around, so I guess the place is authentic. They have a hot food bar, too, which I want to go back to try another day. Seeing as I don't have experience with these type of markets, though, I'm hesitant to rate higher. Yes a Russian grocery and at amazing prices. I bought the frozen pelmeni, frozen blini, prepared chicken soup, prepared borscht, and prepared olivier. All were delicious and tasted just like what my mom used to make at home. Plus some sour cream and it all came out to $25. They had other authentic food such as shuba, fish, desserts, compote, etc. The fruit and vegetables out front all looked super fresh, if I lived in the area I would get those as well. I went here out of a recommendation from a colleague. This place looks pretty run down, on the inside, and the outside. There's a parking lot on the side, along with fruits and veggies displayed before the entrance, and immediately when you walk in. I didn't feel like buying any of it; it just seemed unclean to me. There's a deli off to the right, and when I walked up and told them this is my first time there, and asked the difference between a couple of different sausages, boy they could not have cared any less, and been any more unwelcoming. This staff looked miserable. The deli prices are very reasonable; we picked up hot salami and many different kinds of kielbasa/kabanosy. The skinny dark smoked kabanosy was outstanding, with an excellent meat flavor and the perfect amount of smoke. The medium diameter dark kabanosy had a poor sour taste. The skinny lower priced light kabanosy was a bit too fatty and not smoked enough. Throughout the rest of the store they had lots of European items on shelves. We picked up a bag of European Aroma Gold coffee beans for only $5. Checking out at the cash register, again the staff was not friendly at all. read more

It was a Saturday and parking lot was packed. Got on an extremely long line and waited to get in. Picked up some limes on the outside but needed to get inside to pay. Once inside I went to check it things out. Well the contents matched the name for this place because most items were in foreign writing from some place in the World. I made it all the way to the back and came back through on the other side. There is where the check out line was. Finally it gets to the front and I see their is also a cashier close to where I first entered he store. I will know better for next time. If you're looking for a supermarket with fresh produce and great prices this is the place. This place is always busy (ALWAYS) but I don't mind. It's mainly a Russian/Ukrainian supermarket with a lot of imported goods from that region. Stuff you won't find at Publix or Walmart. You will find cheese, ham, and even sausages from Russia and other parts of Eastern Europe. They also have various types of European chocolates, jelly, sauces, cooking ingredients, you name it-they have it! The supermarket also has fresh bread everyday as well with pastries. They also have a small Buffett where they offer different kinds of Russian/Ukrainian dishes everyday. It's mainly a To-go buffet since there's no place to sit and eat. I have compared prices to Publix and Walmart and you can definitely get cheaper prices on fruits and vegetables at this supermarket! I mainly go here for the European sunflower bread that they have and also their cold cuts and cheeses. For example, Manchego at Publix is almost $21 per LB while at World Market, it's $12 per LB. Same cheese, same brand, just cheaper. You can't beat that. Due to the panic of what's going on in the world at the moment, lines have been extremely long, but worth the wait! read more

What a find this place is great. It's a little European market with so much inside. They have fresh vegetables and herbs here. They have a big variety of dumplings. I actually like there valet dumplings.they are really good they also have chicken and beef and Perogue. Both exelent. I was very happily surprised with the variety of Honey. I I have not seen so many diferent types and colors in my life. They all look delicious. There is a deli here too. They have meats and sausages. I have bought some of the sausages here. It's diferent but a must try. To my surprise they sometimes have chocolate, Yes chocolate. They make really good bread here. The bread also goes fast. I have been here a few times hopping to buy and no luck. I always get a multigrain darker bread and it is great with a little butter. This small supermarket is great it has so many little things to try. I always buy something here to try at home. Although the store is about 100 yards from my front door. We came to the store 5 mins before without knowing that they are not open yet, but the door was open and few more people were inside doing shopping. We were staying and thinking what to buy without disturbing anyone and there was a young girl with blind hair in a meat and cheese section. You would think that with 24/7 summer in Florida finding a place with a big variety of fruits and vegetables for reasonable prices would be easy. After living a month in Fort Lauderdale I find it a problem for some reason. There are certainly many stores selling fresh produce but most of them have Whole Foods like prices and with my daily juicing habits it's kind of a problem. Now this place can finally be a good solution! Loads and loads of fruits and vegetables for prices that are a bit lower than in bigger super markets. I bought over 15lbs of apples, carrots and beets and will be back again for more. There is one downside though, most of the produce they sell is conventionally grown. I did not see any organic vegetables at all. For organic produce I will have to look elsewhere. read more

Today 5/14/22 at around 4:55 pm after shopping for 8 years in this store, I was brutally irrespected by the Security Guard Carlos, a hispanic mestizo as he noticed that a box of beer that was placed in the bottom shelft of my shopping car was forgotten. As I was leaving the store, - which does not have a bar code alarm- the guard probably saw it and waited for us to leave and this guard screamed at us to return to pay. I immediatedly realized that we forgot to pay the beer; returned to the cashier and noticed that the guard continued very loudly to speak with another cashier about me and the beer in a very disrespectful manner. At this time, I asked my cashier to direct me to the Store Manager who was no help and was as rude as the guard and seemed uncaring about the store customers and the treatment delivered by the store staff. My brother was on the front of the store and witnessed another customer coming onto my defense and tokd the Security Guard that the manner and delivered of his alert was rude and on call for. The guard basically banned the customer out of the store as he was the store owner. And the customer just answered that the Security guard would no longer be employed there. Then this guard told the customer screaming in his face F*** you. My brother went to this guard and spoke to him in Spanish and told him that his behavior to all customers no matter the race and language was unacceptable as my brother speaks also English, Russian Polish, and Spanish. Seek an alternative store. I will seek legal action after this treatment of harrassment, aggressive treatment, threatening behavior and obviously ratial discrimination. read more

The people who are afraid of coming here are probably the whitest people that you know (or just always like blaming others). First, they're open everyday until 9:30pm. Next, they have a lot of fresh produce which is less expensive than the place next door. They also carry a lot of European stuff as well as other items that are aren't easy to find (why is it so hard to find jalapeños around here?). It can take a slight while when it's crowded but grab a Milka bar while you wait (and don't forget to pay for it) and be patient. Cashiers are quick but friendly. read more

After visiting this store for two yrs I have to say I just am not going back! Staff are like manikins. Never a smile, not accommodating, very harsh and cold. Screwed up my deli order on every item because of language barrier ( i asked to talk to someone who understood english). After trying to explain the difference in their jumbo hotdogs vs the regular ( and even asked for a manager because the deli clerk insisted they were the same brand and she wouldn't open the bag of jumbos until the regular ones were sold) the manager spoke to the girls then basically muttered " they are the same" and took off without resolution. It is just an okay russian store in Hollywood. I like other russian stores much better even though I am generous and adding 2 stars. Pros: - Few products are cheaper than in other russian stores - They accept credit cards for small amounts Cons: - Very little store with little selection, hard to move through small isles - Some employees always have an "angry face" on. I am not Eastern European, but I love trying new things. I was intrigued by reviews praising this place as the best Eastern European grocery in South Florida, so I decided to check it out last weekend. Parking was a little tricky. We didn't realize at first that there are spots on both the north and the south sides. Once we discovered the parking on the north side, we found a spot easily enough. Heading inside, this place feels very authentic. Everyone is speaking Russian or Serbian or Polish and there are a great many unique Eastern European products. I went for the frozen pierogies and got one bag of potato/mushroom and one bag of blueberry. I also picked up some sour cherry preserves and some moskovskie hlebtsi, which was kind of like mandel bread and went great with coffee. I would love to go back here with an Eastern European friend/tour guide. Although most of the products are in English and the people are helpful, I'm sure this place holds many more treasures if you know what you're looking for. read more
