I always come to World Market when I'm looking to get someone a gift. There's a little bit of everything for everyone and they always have a great snack and drink selection. I was looking for the seasoning that goes in miso soup one day, and this was the closest location that I could find it. Due to coming in for that I was able to look at everything else they offer and I was highly impressed. I recently went in and bought some different types of wine and drinks. Overall, it's a great place to go when you're looking for different types of snacks from all over the world, any type of housing, decor, or appliances, or any type of wine!

This has become something of an oddball favorite of mine. One thing that I love about this store is all the oddball food and beverage selections they have from all over the world. Where else can you find Cheerwine Soda next to German beer, Italian Chianti and German sausages in a jar? Move just a few feet the other way and there's an entire aisle filled with ramen and yakisoba noodles. Charcuterie, savory and sweet snacks, chocolate bars, British baked beans...the list goes on and on. There's a decent collection of wines and beers that you normally don't find unless you head to Total Wine or Luekens at the very least. Look in the back aisle and you can find some bargains too. There was an entire display rack 3 shelves high with all kinds of stuff 55% off the marked price. I got a BIG bag of Maui sweet onion potato chips for less than $2! Meantime they have all kinds of artsy-craftsy stuff, home furnishings and decor, plus other stuff beyond that. None of it can be confused with stuff off the bargain rack. Well: at least not in the price department. We seldom buy anything here but the occasional gourmet food items, especially the stuff on sale. I DO have a mortgage to pay, after all. However they do offer good coupons and discounts if you sign up for 'em. Then I don't feel quite as badly hosed as I would otherwise.

Did some research and finally found a table here for my little weber Q. It was designed as a planting table but I am repurposing. The is a cool store with lots of unique items and prices are not to crazy

Similar to Pier One Imports and HomeGoods, Cost Plus World Market offers an eclectic collection of kitchen supplies, home decor, international food and wine, and accent furniture. Designs range from bohemian to contemporary, offering a little something for everyone. Though the name of the store implies savings, the prices aren't exactly cheap. I found most items were priced similarly or a little less than Pier One, and sale items were closer to HomeGoods. For the most part I thought the prices were reasonable. Upon my first visit, I was astonished at the depth to the wine collection and enjoyed browsing through food items I've never seen at any grocer. They also carry imported beers and hard ciders. Just like Total Wine, CPWM offers "build your own' six pack, so you can fill a carton with whatever bottles you choose. Great way to sample and perfect gift idea for your local boozehound. The middle of the store is seasonal centered and currently loaded with Christmas decorations and practical necessities, like wrapping paper and stockings. The ornaments were cute, stylish, and great additions to a home in need of some sparkle. As far as service is concerned the staff seems pleasant, approachable and helpful. Overall a pleasant experience with memorable merchandise.

World Market is a great place to shop. They have cool stuff. The furniture and lamps are great for smaller apartments. They also have dishes, silverware and small gifts. Gourmet candy and cookies are in back of store. Check this place out.

One of my happy places is finally in Clearwater! Cost Plus World Market is it! So happy to finally visit and I can't help but say that I've been to other locations that are at least two or three times the size of this one. I was a bit disappointed. It's honestly hard to walk through this store. They should have more space for the carts to zoom through. There is beautiful original home goods here from all different countries and food and drinks from all over. That's my favorite part of it. The market area with the food seemed jumbled up. Come on now, they need room to hang out. I still found some of my favorites so I was happy with that. Also the alcohol section seems to be a little bit bigger here. Too bad my favorite passion fruit moscato was $7 more here than the location in Ft. Myers. I'm happy it is finally Here. I won't go crazy when I go to this store since it's closer than Ft. Myers or Winter Garden location. I look forward to it coming to Wesley Chapel the most.

    Lots of wine choices!

This store is located in the strip center along US19 that also has Barnes and Noble at Sunset Point and US19. The space is enormous and spanking brand new. This store is quite unique to our area. This store sells: furniture, groceries, household accessories, dishes, pots and pans and a lot of wine. Most of the areas in the store are quite roomy however, the grocery area is quite narrow. They had a lot of unique foreign products. This isn't a budget warehouse store but a middle to higher end sort of store. Being we were at it's opening weekend, the crowds were huge. I am so glad that a new store of this caliber is open in our neck of the woods!

World Market has been "coming soon" for about a year, so when I heard it finally opened I was shocked. I went on opening day, and didn't know what to expect. After looking on the website, I'd been confused about exactly what they sold. Is it a furniture store? A grocery store? Now I've visited it, I can happily says it's like Anthropologie and Home Goods had a baby. It has dresses, cards, home decor, soap, furniture, kitchen accessories, lots of non-perishable international food, and beer/wine. If you're visiting someone and need a gift - this is the place to find it. My favorite things were the globes, cookie jars, coffee accessories, and food. I'm most excited with the purchase I made: Star Trek beer. I brought it to my friend who's both a Trekkie and loves beer. It's perfect!

love this store! Tons of high quality items at reasonable prices. I bought a red Adirondack chair with cushion and couldn't be happier. I definitely see other things I want and will definitely be back. I would like to thank Renee the supervisor for being so kind and customer service friendly. Kudos to you and your staff for making my shopping experience so great!

Ask the Community - World Market

Does anyone know when the store is expected to open?

I emailed them to ask back in March if they had an ETA and they wrote me back saying there was no date planned as of yet but included a link and told me to check back on that page for announcements when they plan the opening celebration.…

This Ollie's has a reasonable selection of books, and I noticed some books here that I hadn't seen at the other Ollie's. All the prices are a great value. My only gripe is that one of the books that I wanted was on a super high shelf, and it wasn't clear how I was supposed to get it, so I had to be creative with how I retrieved the book. I browsed the other aisles but didn't see anything in particular. I was mainly looking for books and excess tea; neither Ollie's had much of a tea selection. The employee that rang us up was nice and friendly, and there was basically no wait, although it might have been because they were closing soon. I definitely think a good value can be had here as long as you're not looking for anything super specific. I enjoy going to Ollie's for puzzle books and coloring books, of which there are many.

This place is a cross between Odd Lots, granny's yard sale and the back room of your local Walmart…read more It's a large chain that pretty much sealed the doom of Odd Lots. While it's mostly general merchandise they sell, one can also find a pretty decent variety of cleaning supplies, personal care products, clothing, bedding, toys, pet needs and even non-perishable foods! Plenty of bagged and boxed candy too. The store seems a good bit cleaner than the Odd Lots that once occupied this space. It's also better organized and has (somewhat) friendlier employees, albeit not all of 'em seem on board with that. Anyway, it dampens the "holiday spirit" of the store. Lots of holiday and seasonal goods for sale too. They got nothing on Robert's Christmas Wonderland on Gulf to Bay, but one of THOSE is probably one too many except in small doses. Meanwhile, Christmas music was playing in the store. Between every one or two songs was another Ollie's ad. Each one of 'em ends with the same phrase as though barked by a group of military recruits... "Ollies: good stuff CHEAP!!" That pretty well sums it up: hook, line and sinker. I'm sure if you looked hard enough you can find THEM too. I myself won't be doing so, but my dear Queen Bee loves the place. To me, it beats the be-jiggers outta Dollar Parlor, Greenback General or Goodwill. That doesn't really say very much, but then again: enough to expect from a discounter for the Scratch & Dent Special Brigade.

I'd had this place on my list of stores to checkout while furnishing and decorating my new place in Clearwater for a couple months now and finally happened upon it by accident! So clearly i was excited to go in and check it out. While they have a bunch of super-cute things, I find them so ridiculously overpriced..... but everyone else seems to love them. I probably would've gone with 3-stars had there not been so many other 5-star reviews. I don't want to bring their rating down, but at the same time i did not make any purchases because i just found the prices obnoxious. Considering most of the furniture is old/used/re-purposed, the prices they're asking are retail for brand-new stuff. I get that people put their hard work and energy into fixing stuff up, but there has to be a balance. Overall, it really is an ADORABLE shop. It's decently sized and there's plenty to see. In fact, I'm guessing you probably miss seeing half the stuff because there's SO much! You could almost walk through each section twice just to be sure you saw everything! If I were in the area I would stop by again and see if I found anything I loved. Definitely check it out for yourself, and make your own opinion. You may just find something amazing. And there is a range of knick-knacks, kitchen towels, decorations, all the way up to full-sized furniture (tables/dressers/nightstands/etc). If you're in the area, give 'em a try!

Oh my goodness I have NEVER EVER seen someone so rude representing a company like Kanes. When we walked over the counter she was on the phone with a customer. You can hear how rude she was being with the customer on the phone and I knew right off the bat we were going have issues with this lady. We stood there and waited for her to get off the phone and another employee had walked over behind the counter and I proceed to ask her a question since Barbara was on the phone (still being rude to the customer). I started to ask the other lady if this is where we pick up the tickets and Barbara in the middle of her phone call she interrupts me to tell me she's the person that I need to be talking to all while she was still on the phone with a customer she was rude to. I could hear the customer through the phone getting frustrated with her and they just hung up on her. Barbara then hung up the phone and asked me for my reservation code and I handed her the printed paper and she wouldn't take it and told me I needed to read that code to her. If my 10 year old nephew wasn't there Barbara would have heard colorful words from my mouth but he was there so I couldn't. She pulls up our record gave us the ticket and my sister said thank you to her twice! I didn't say thank you because she was so damn rude. I wanted to say something else. We walked away after my sister said thank you to her. We had already taken a few steps away from the counter and with a nasty snarky condescending tone she pipes up "YOU'RE WELCOME!" I came running back so fast and told her "she said thank you to you twice! no ma'am you will not be treating us like this it's apparent you don't have any customer service skills and its probably time for you to hang it up." She started running her mouth and I lost it and finally said "how do they have you working up there dealing with customers with a nasty ass attitude like that?" So needless to say I probably won't EVER get any furniture from Kanes because wow just wow!
