Came here with my husband and wow! the store is pretty big. It's nicely organized and brightly lit with clothes.I was looking for women's jeans and were dissatisfied with the lack of variety and styles. It seemed like there were more pants and blouses than jeans. The jeans that were available on clearance weren't very nice either, and a couple brands were still way too expensive for being discounted. After glancing at the shoes, I found a few that looked promising, but required a second opinion. There's luggage, perfumes, housewares and furniture. My favorites are kitchenware & interiors aisles!! The store was pretty clean and tidy; associates were on the floor most of the time, seemingly straightening and putting away go-backs at a consistent pace. Our checkout experience was pretty good; it wasn't very busy today so we were seen as soon as possible. Our cashier was very nice too!

These people are absolutely fantastic!…read more So, when I entered, the workers here were surprisingly friendly and polite, which I wasn't expecting at all. The first time I came here was last May, where I was shopping for clothing suitable (no pun intended) for my sister's wedding. They were patient, humorous, and very helpful to my family. The worker who helped me today, Anna, did a marvelous job in helping me...Especially since today was my first day shopping for formal clothing solo! She was very patient as well, made sure to take measurements, and was super accommodating and helpful when it came to selecting clothing that was both appropriate for the event I was attending and thy could fit me. She was also very knowledgeable in what clothing colors are appropriate for what occasion, and boy am I glad to have had her in my corner today. Thanks to her, I walked out a happy customer able to breathe a sigh of relief that I got what I needed! In general, I've come to find a lot of clothing to be of higher quality and variety than elsewhere in the mall. What really separates them from the rest is just how much the stores accommodates the bigger sizes, including me. Granted, they're rather pricey, but again it's not easy making clothing for people such as myself so I don't hold that against them. I know one thing; If I ever need clothing for special occasions, I'm coming straight to here!

The woman in this section was also helpful with sizing, and I discovered I needed a larger size for a strapless bras. She was invaluable. My only concern was how it would look with the dress. I need to return with it, to be sure it doesn't show. For $72, I want to be sure. And I had no coupons and she had no discounts. You get what you pay for! Men, if you're reading this, I bet you had no idea what women go through, & how much it costs, to look good for a formal event!!

Growing up in the 70s and 80s, "going to the mall" was a huge part of my leisure experience…read more With Tyrone mall now being a just scary shell of it's former self, Countryside is the only indoor shopping mall left in Pinellas county where I can enjoy the nostalgia of my youth. I'm not able to go as much as I'd like, but a visit here at Christmastime is always quite enjoyable! This mall still has a decent occupancy rate, an acceptable food court, several sit-down dining options, a nice movie theater, and even an ice skating rink. The attached Whole Foods is also a plus, IF you can afford shopping there! (I always look online at their weekly sales items before I visit). Since so many of our former indoor malls have been converted to outdoor "strip malls," I'm very glad Countryside has so far survived the preference for online shopping and still exists!

This mall is about average. I love that they have the skating rink available with no need to…read morereserve. Right now they have a BOGO where you pay the $25 to skate and get to return the next day between 12-5 at no extra cost. The Whole foods is another plus, but you have to go out the side entrance to have access. It would've been nice if the mall had an entry from inside. An obvious issue I noticed during my most recent visit, was the lack of guests not wearing masks. By my estimate, about a quarter of the guests had no mask on. When approaching a Mall Security Guard about this, he said this being enforced. Meanwhile, a group walks right by with no mask in sight. This is unfortunate.

I had actually…read morejust visited the Ollie's in Lakeland, which was a little bit better, but I'm trying not to compare the two since they are not close together. This Ollie's has a reasonable selection of books, and I noticed some books here that I hadn't seen at the other Ollie's. All the prices are a great value. My only gripe is that one of the books that I wanted was on a super high shelf, and it wasn't clear how I was supposed to get it, so I had to be creative with how I retrieved the book. I browsed the other aisles but didn't see anything in particular. I was mainly looking for books and excess tea; neither Ollie's had much of a tea selection. The employee that rang us up was nice and friendly, and there was basically no wait, although it might have been because they were closing soon. I definitely think a good value can be had here as long as you're not looking for anything super specific. I enjoy going to Ollie's for puzzle books and coloring books, of which there are many.

This place is a cross between Odd Lots, granny's yard sale and the back room of your local Walmart…read more It's a large chain that pretty much sealed the doom of Odd Lots. While it's mostly general merchandise they sell, one can also find a pretty decent variety of cleaning supplies, personal care products, clothing, bedding, toys, pet needs and even non-perishable foods! Plenty of bagged and boxed candy too. The store seems a good bit cleaner than the Odd Lots that once occupied this space. It's also better organized and has (somewhat) friendlier employees, albeit not all of 'em seem on board with that. Anyway, it dampens the "holiday spirit" of the store. Lots of holiday and seasonal goods for sale too. They got nothing on Robert's Christmas Wonderland on Gulf to Bay, but one of THOSE is probably one too many except in small doses. Meanwhile, Christmas music was playing in the store. Between every one or two songs was another Ollie's ad. Each one of 'em ends with the same phrase as though barked by a group of military recruits... "Ollies: good stuff CHEAP!!" That pretty well sums it up: hook, line and sinker. I'm sure if you looked hard enough you can find THEM too. I myself won't be doing so, but my dear Queen Bee loves the place. To me, it beats the be-jiggers outta Dollar Parlor, Greenback General or Goodwill. That doesn't really say very much, but then again: enough to expect from a discounter for the Scratch & Dent Special Brigade.

Sephora cut their contract with JCP, so the Sephora space is now dedicated to makeup, but it's the same brands you can get at Walmart or a drug store, like CoverGirl. When I stopped in, I was specifically looking for work pants and summer shoes. The shoe section lacked inventory; the display shoe would be out, and then maybe 3 sizes were available below it. I wear a pretty common shoe size, but even that was hard to find. I did score a few pants from the petite section, and I definitely appreciated that they had a petite clearance space separate from the regular women's clearance; made pant shopping so much easier there. I got some non-clearance ones as well; there always seems to be sales in store that can be stacked with coupons on the app, so definitely check for those!

Before I arrived at the register, there was a little jingle that went off and then the customer service manager praising getting another credit card opened. Which small wins are small wins, but the check out associate said under his breath "another one". Then proceeded to check me out for the shorts that I had wanted and kept pushing the credit card after I politely declined it. I had forgotten my card and even tried to call me back to the register to open up a credit card with the store saying " it was no problem, and I could open one". Unreal! so pushy! Focus on gaining your customers trust rather than pushing something in front of them. I hope they celebrate the small win of my no sale at all after that experience.
