This is the place you want to be if you are searching for a fresh word! It's a young ministry with mega members, mega vision and a mega future. This church offers A LOT! If you need separate church for your children, they have it and the children's church is so dope I'm interested in going and I'm a full-blown adult. There is also a super awesome teen church. The main sanctuary is LIT with a fire filled praise and worship. Each week you can count on Pasto Andy (PA) giving a life changing word that will inspire you to keep on keeping on! When I first moved to North Carolina I had to hunt. High and low, I basically went on a Church tour. Big, Little, White, Mixed, Black... I was looking for something, not sure what it would look like but I knew I'd recognize it. From the first time I came to WOCC (World Overcomers Christian Church) I knew it was something special. The word, Pastor Andy and goodness the worship!!! Every time I walk in the building I'm greeted by smiling faces and you can feel the warm spirit, I'm blessed to say I found my church home. This is a non-denominational Christian church that I've attended for about 2 or 3 years (uhm although I haven't been in a little while-- due to my works hours at the time-- last year). I would say what intrigued me about the church the most was the people and their true genuine welcoming personalities, as well as, their desire to get to know you. The people are simply real and fun to be around. The pastor and his wife are very transparent, down to earth and approachable. Pastor Andy is hilarious, in that he sometimes uses a comedic approach to bring the Bible to today's lives and lifestyles by using analogies that are highly relateable to current situations. This way no matter what the individuals background is sitting in the pews; they will "get it" and light bulbs will be flashing all around in their heads. There are 3 services 8am, 10am & 12 noon; whether you're an early bird or like to sleep in a little, there's a time for you. I think I've attended each service times on different occasions and they are all well delivered and spoken he artfully with a spiritual passion. I typically got up early and did the 8am service (that is when I was going regularly) because I liked the idea of being done with church early and then going to brunch with some friends afterward. Ahhhhh! There are several ministries to get all different age groups involved and create an entertaining atmosphere. There's Woyaf (for young adults or those who are young at heart), a Singles ministry, Men's ministry, Women's conferences, Men's conferences, Children's church and Married couples ministry-- or at least that's all I can think of at the moment. I don't have children at this point , but I'm sure the Mom's and Dad's (as well as others) love the idea of being able to leave their children and little ones in an environment where they can learn the Bible at their level and not have to keep telling them to sit still while they're trying to hear the message in service. There isn't all the squealing and sqwaling going on or kids playing, jumping around or that sort of thing. Which can be distracting to anyone sitting near them. They also do picnics for anyone who wants to attend that's all complimentary of course, church dinners after service on designated Sunday's. It's an extremely wonderful group of people, so many different people from all over the country and the world-- mulit-cultural with people from various backgrounds. It's also a fun environment with pastoral leaders who are open and real with you about where they came from to get where they are. read more

I've been in this area for five years and was able to finally catch a service at WOCC. Humongous church. I had no idea so many people attended or that their sanctuary was so large. It is very inviting and accepts people great and small, and people are allowed to come as they are. I'm a member of another church in the area, and just happened to want to check out their Real Love series that they are doing this summer (April, May and June). The sermon I heard about Real Love: The Value in You, and was geared toward single women. Definitely an eye-opener for me and I appreciated the message. I plan on returning throughout the series to hear more of the sermons by Pastors Andy and LaShawn Thompson. read more

I was looking for a non-denominational Christian church to attend while I was in school in Chapel Hill and found the name of a church close by to World Overcomers. I was a bit late to the other church's service and unknowingly walked into the start of WOCC. Little did I know this would be my place of worship for the next 1.5 years. I attended as many Sunday services as I could and if I could not make it I would stream online. I love the opportunity to hear the Word with the click of my computer. Pastor Andy is amazing and every service I have been to had touched my heart in some way. When I had guests in town I would take them to this service and they loved it as much as I did. There were a couple of times in which I attended Wednesday night services and what an amazing experience! Pastor Andy gives great food for thought and shared some uplifting words with the congregation. Even though I moved back to DC I still stream these services. I can't wait to go back to NC and worship at WOCC! Thank you church family! read more

I was excited to check out this church. I'm new to the area and looking for a place to worship. I arrived a little before 10am and was greeted with a big smile. The parking lot was extremely full. Thankfully, a shuttle picked me up and dropped me off at the main entrance. I told the greeter this was my first time and she said..."service times have changed, this service began at 9am, but go on in the pastor just started preaching". So I did. I will return at the appropriate time. I do recommend that they update their website to reflect the new service times. read more

In attending only a handful of the 12 noon services since its inception, I've found it a good worship environment. What a pleasant, ....make that very pleasant worship experience there. The new worship team(s) are knock down seriously on point!. Ahhhhwwwwwsome!! Yeaaahhhh!! If familiar with Jason Nelson or Shekinah Glory worship then ....you got it! . If the Lord is the strength of your life and is your rock and strong tower,...this service is for you. The praise and worship is good. Better than praline-n-creme good; Better than rocky-road good;...Yup!! (lol) . What a difference worship becomes when the worship and praise is so so soooo focused and good. Highly recommend attending worship services there. Its worth it to visit if you are already grounded in a local assembly. . Sorry not able to do much with Mon-Sat there so no comments on the fellowship and the pastoral aspects. But the weekly morning/noon worship service is very very good IMO. read more
