We knew Joaquin when he was on the LSU Dental Faculty, teaching "Prosthodontology" under Art Mendez, and like them both. Berron is much more personable. If considering a trip, some considerations are: 1) How easy is it for YOU to go back-&-forth? 2) How much work do you need? 3) Do you like & feel safe in Mexico? 4) Do you have a local. Family Dentist for minor follow-up services? Berron & his staff/facility are BETTER than any dental operation we've been to in the USA. He gives detailed plans with cost & options ahead of time. Their Achilles' heel was the slow dental prosthetics lab, which took a week to make permanent devices. Then, if there were any problem, it would take a week to fix it. Berron is dedicated to providing World class services; so I'd bet the lab issue has already been fixed since our last visit around 2018. If one lives where there are direct flights; the best may be to go home for a week, then go back to finish. In our several experiences there, we found that the dental costs, plus the costs of the vacations, still beat U S prices. Also, I cannot speak for any of the other practices in "Dentaris Riviera Maya", which seems a loosely associated group with separate office facilities. Dr. Berron is quite expert at doing his own extractions & grafting, so most services are one-stop. If these considerations fit you, do consider going. We stayed at the local LaQuinta Hotel, but there are many other options at the beach. Once you see the quality, expertise, & detailed care; you will be confident. The entire operation is World Class. They will advise on, or even handle, some ravel details and provide local pick-up & drop-off for dental visits (only). The visit preparations resemble a concierge service in many ways. The only negative we found in our several visits was the slow prosthetics lab. Dr. Berron was well aware of this and was working on improving it on our last visit. As Cancun's Intercontinental Airport has grown into a major "Hub", other "international medical services'' flourish there, it has become an important industry for Quintana Roo & all Mexico. Dr Joaquin Berron' and Staff-…read more I hired Dr Berron to remove an old "ALL in 4" and place a new one. This would require 3 trips to Cancun. Nov 2024- Trip # 1 would require the removal of the existing ALL in 4 and bone grafts Bone Grafts- I had extensive lower bone grafts done at this clinic. However Dr Joaquin Berron' was not capable of completing them and hired a specialist from outside his practice. The surgeon hired did an excellent job and when my dentist back home took a 3D xray upon my return- he praised his skill Jun 2025- Trip #2. Dr Berron placed 4 implants on the bottom and fitted me for a lower temporary prosthetic. The implants were imbedded into the lower bone at a slant! And the temporay lower was poorly made and a colossal fail. It pinched and didn't fit properly. The day or surgery- I was taken back to my hotel room in pain and he knew this. I was told to give it a chance and he would see me again the next day. Upon arrival the next day which was Thursday morning- it was not any better and I wanted him to remove it and improve it. But he refused- instead he attempted to "grind" it down- while it was screwed down on my lower jaw. Only then did he inform me that he planned to leave town and I would have to wait 5 days to see him again- which would be late the afternoon the following Monday. At that point- I changed my airline flight and flew back to the states the next day and told him I would find someone else.. Upon arrival locally - I made an appt to see my regular dentist. When he looked at the recent xrays he was shocked and refused to comment- other then to say "I will keep my opinion to myself" Dr B and myself exchanged multiple emails - and text messages and I have copies of everything I have quoted on this email. I waited 3-4 months to heal and then In Oct I hired another dentist to make the permanent lower and his clinic did a fabulous job. In closing- I will add this. Dr B deserves a 1 star for the inferior job that he did- and for abandoning me and leaving Cancun when he knew perfectly well- it didn't fit and I was in pain because the quality of the prosthetic was so poorly made. But I didn't, I left a 2 star because his staff is exceptional! I regret going to his clinic and I would never ever hire him again

Beatriz answered me right away and asked some questions, and gave me an estimate. Even taking into account the cost of travel, it would cost me about half to get the work done in Cancun instead of Montreal. So I made my travel arrangements, and became a dental tourist. I arrived at the Cancun airport at about 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon. By 6:00, I was in the dentist's chair, beginning my treatment. I had a six-unit bridge in the front and a 3-unit bridge on the side, as well as a filling and a cleaning. The people at Dentalia were terrific, and very friendly and efficient. The final result is beautiful, and the whole thing was done by Thursday evening. I can't say enough nice things about Dentalia and their Cancun staff. They are very well set up to handle dental tourism from the U.S. or Canada. Saving thousands of dollars, and getting a trip to Cancun to boot - what could be better? They also have an office in Playa del Carmen, and other offices throughout Mexico. Thanks especially to Beatriz (the concierge) who speaks perfect English and made all the arrangements by email and telephone ahead of time.

After a fair amount of research, as well as getting person recommendations from locals, it's clear that Dr. Carmona was the only pick. His office was bright, modern and inviting. His consultation manner was concerned, present and intelligent. I was immediately comfortable with him and his staff. They had a genuine ability to care and help. While I was only going in for injectables, the cost savings versus getting this done in the States was OUTSTANDING. I would have paid more than double in any metro area in the US for this amount of botox. They also offer Xeomin and Dysport, for those who prefer other formulas. Their prices on name-brand filler are also impressive. When I'm ready for more invasive procedures, I'll definitely be coming back to Dr. Carmona.

Dr Ortega was always available to answer ANY and ALL questions with great patience, I wasn't even a patient yet and I would have thought she was my local dentist since childhood! So off to Cancun we went. It just so happened that My wife and I 24th anniversary fell on the same week we both needed work! So in just a 2 week span we coordinated with Dr Ortega and the resort and we found ourselves in paradise! Upon arrival to Cancún Dr Ortega had setup our transportation! The trip started off great! Monday comes around and that is when we met the Dental Design Studios driver Karlo! He pulled up in an almost brand new amazing van and we spent 5 days getting to know this awesome guy. He was kind and thoughtful and always on time! After getting to the office for the first time everyone was amazing. Liz at the front desk was welcoming with a smile. MY wife and I needed pretty major work done and they were so accommodating to our anniversary and made everything so smooth. Gaby made sure my wife felt extremely comfortable even kept her covered with a warm blanket! Lizette: Front Desk was always on her "A" game! Always had the appointments set and paperwork in order. My daughter is a dentist in California and she was not about to let me go through my trip with a missing front tooth! She found CDS and contacted them as soon as they opened up on Monday. The process of getting an appointment was very easy as they had whatsapp available to communicate on. The appointment was made within twenty minutes. The clinic made arrangements to come and pick us up and drop us off at our hotel. We saw Dr. Enrique, a prosthodontist, for the recement crown and he was happy to help. PLEASE Read This BEFORE CHOOSING Cancun Dental Specialist…read more Picture this: you save money for months--or even years--to travel to Mexico and finally fix your smile. You put your trust in a clinic with your natural teeth, believing that if something goes wrong, they will stand behind their work. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I traveled to Cancun Dental Specialist to restore my four upper front teeth. My treatment included two crowns and two veneers, and I trusted the recommendations made by their clinical team. Within days of the procedure, I noticed that one of the veneers already had a small defect. It didn't feel or look like the others, and I reported my concern to the clinic shortly afterward. By that time, however, I was no longer in the country, making an immediate return impossible. Because I notified the clinic as soon as I became aware of the problem, I would reasonably expect that communication to have been documented in my clinical records as part of my treatment history. Over time, that same veneer eventually suffered a partial loss of material in the exact area where the original defect had appeared. The most disappointing part has not been the restoration itself, but the way my case has been handled. I have provided clinical photographs, X-rays, my current dentist's treatment estimate, and a detailed explanation of the timeline of events. Despite this, the clinic has declined to submit my case for clinical review unless I first provide a written dental report documenting the diagnosis from when the problem first appeared. The problem is that the defect first appeared several years ago. Requiring a report documenting what was observed at that time is, in practical terms, asking me to produce documentation retrospectively--something that simply cannot be done today. Another disappointment is that the main reason I sought treatment was to improve the appearance of two root canal-treated teeth that had become discolored. Despite the treatment, that discoloration is still visible today. After my treatment, I learned that many dentists recommend considering internal bleaching before placing veneers or crowns on root canal-treated teeth to help achieve a more natural and uniform result. Had that option been discussed with me beforehand, I would have gladly accepted the additional cost, because correcting that discoloration was the entire reason I decided to undergo treatment. After seeking a second professional opinion, I was informed that, given the current condition of my teeth, the recommended solution would likely involve crowns rather than veneers. That means correcting this situation today could require a significantly more extensive and considerably more expensive treatment than the one I originally underwent. Medical tourism requires an enormous amount of trust because once healthy tooth structure is removed, there is no way to reverse it. Patients rely on the clinic not only to perform quality work, but also to respond fairly when concerns arise. I understand that warranties have limits. However, my concern has NEVER been about asking for a warranty years later. My concern is that the issue began almost immediately after treatment. I reported it to the clinic as soon as I noticed it, but I wasn't in a position to travel back to Cancun so the restoration could be evaluated and the problem corrected. In my opinion, any fair clinical assessment should take that history into account rather than rely solely on documentation that can no longer be obtained years later. Despite the evidence I have provided, my case has still not been reviewed by the clinical team. If you are considering traveling here for dental work, ask yourself one simple question: If something goes wrong after you return home, will this clinic genuinely review your case based on the available evidence--or will the passage of time become more important than the evidence itself? I went to Dentics not because I had heard about it but because the place that I had thought I was going to go to was a zoo. It was overbooked. It was a hot mess and I just happened to pass by and something said, "Go inside." They examined my tooth and basically told me the truth: there was nothing wrong with the tooth. They were able to fill it for an extremely reasonable price and that was the end of it. I haven't had any problems and that was over a year ago so I highly recommend it. I do know they're honest.

Its broke again and dentist say its so short pins and teeth to keep bridge . I connected to Dentics Cancun and they say- its not there fault and block my phone.
