Apparently the violent impact from my wheel contacting the pavement bent and sheared a pin in the jack shaft on my front slideout mechanism rendering it inoperable. There were several options in the area but I had noticed RV823 in the park we were staying in a few days earlier and after checking with the front desk at the campground James came highly recommended, he answered his phone on my first attempt to contact him and asked some very important questions in order to understand the issue even though he was in the middle of a job not far away and told me he expected to be onsite within an hour. Upon arriving he was very focused on resolving my issue and immediately went to work troubleshooting the problem, he was able to find the problem quickly and had the part needed on his truck to complete the repair. I received a heads up text when Joseph was on his way. He showed up on time and quickly got to work. His thorough, multi-point inspection took quite a long time, especially considering that my trailer is not one of the bigger, more complex types with slide-outs and such. A couple small repair items were discussed and he went on his way with plenty of photos in hand to prepare a detailed written report of his findings. Per the NRVIA code of ethics, repairs are not to be done by the inspector. This company has another department with a Certified RV Technician (prices for this service are within market range). Lucas showed up at the scheduled time and went right to work. It was a stubborn leak to find and in the process we found a couple other leaks. Lucas got everything taken care of and said he would be back in a few days to button things up. Left it open to dry out. Lucas and Michael showed up this morning and got everything taken care of, including a couple add on jobs I came up with. I would highly recommend Ewing RV Repair and will use them again if needed.
