So I'm leaving this review with hesitance because I really like this brewery. I've always had great service and the food is wonderful; especially the chicken sandwich, the steak salad and the Brussels! I haven't had their beer because I just started going about 5 months ago and I'm 6.5 months pregnant. So I'm not leaving this review on the brewery or wait staff in general. Just one person. My boyfriend and I went this past Thursday and the server's name was Matt. Or at least that was the name on the receipt. He had long brown hair and was pretty short. Anyways, from the beginning he seemed completely distracted and just not there. He didn't follow any steps of service whatsoever. Didn't tell us his name, didn't ask how we were doing, didn't check on us (we kept grabbing other servers and a host to help get more drinks, condiments, etc.) and every time he did drop something off, he wouldn't take anything off our small 2 person table. He'd drop a beer off that we asked another server for and wouldn't take the empty glass... other than that, when we asked for the bill it took about 10 minutes and when he dropped it back off after paying, he didn't say have a nice day or anything. He said nothing at all. Every point of his service was absolutely terrible. And.... it was totally dead inside and out. So he definitely wasn't in the weeds. Just not even remotely good at his job. Sorry worthy for putting 3 stars, but that was terrible. And he deserved one. read more

Worthy has been a favorite for lunch and we especially look forward to their hummus plate. It has been one of the best in the area. Today however we were quite disappointed. The portion sizes of hummus and feta were minuscule. Hummus strange. The pita unremarkable. The "fresh"carrots dry and leathery. Come on Worthy! Bring back the special dish! Went with my friend to enjoy the viewing of the night sky. Totally worth the time. They have a huge telescope hooked up to a computer and they can hone in on planets. The guy in charge offers a lot of information and answers questions. Then we decided to have a beer and a bite to eat. Meh!! The beer selection is a bit wanting. No real dark beer to speak of. The Pilsner I had was way too fruity and bitter despite an IBU rating of only 17. Decided to share a bowl of clam chowder. Strange chowder. Not enough clams, undercooked potatoes, and carrots(?). Made with coconut milk and some very strange spices. Not on my try again list. Also had a half order of pork nachos. Good enough but not great. So now I have given them 3 chances to ring my bell and it has not happened. I won't be going back. read more

Worthy is a solid choice on the large list of breweries around Bend. The Eruption was really smooth and my friend liked her golden ale. We ordered the Cesar salads and thought the flavors were really fresh. The nachos and the pizza both had really good flavors. There are several different seating areas to choose from and when the weather is nice, the outside option is great! There are hops growing on site and an observatory. The observatory has a $5 donation per person that is well worth it for the experience and the information provided about what you're looking at. I have a feeling that we didn't see everything that Worthy has to offer so I plan on coming back for more. read more

Waited and watched as all the tables that arrived 20 minutes after us were served before us. Extremely frustrating, and the staff had no care that that happened and that we waited over 40 minutes for the food we ordered online. Really wish I wasn't prompted to tip them 20% before I was even served. Don't recommend due to poor service!!! Beer is fine, food is ok. read more

Disappointing. The beer was good. If you are just going for a beer your experience might be just fine. We went for lunch on Fathers Day. We were there when they opened at 11:30 and they were not busy. The service was SLOW and horribly inattentive. We asked the server for water... no water. My husband went up to the bar and we got water. About 10 minutes later the server brought two waters, there were three of us. When we received our food (which was mediocre to be generous) there was NO silverware and our meals required silverware. I had to get the server's attention again to ask for silverware and then that took another 5 minutes. They were not busy. I ordered fish and chips, it was mostly fries with four VERY SMALL pieces of over salted fish. My daughter ordered the Kids Mac and Cheese, and while it was real cheese it would have been better called cheesy-noodle-soup. It was runny. There are so many other wonderful restaurants in Bend. If you are going for food, try somewhere else. If you are just going for beer, step up to the bar. read more

The past 3 years, worthy has gotten worse and worse and worse and worse. From the wait time (tonight it was over an hour), to the horrible customer service, to the "meh" food, to the construction, to the menu getting cut in half, to not having your 'on tap beers' on tap, to the parking, and even to the WARM WATER. We are done. I am almost sure this is the sixth chance we have given them (I swear, 6, on my dog!) with their all around rating. I was SO excited years ago when I saw this amazing venue being built, today I am so sad to say we just had our last meal at Worthy. The best thing about this place is the beer- which can be purchased at MANY other locations. Goodbye Worthy. Maybe bigger isn't better? :( read more

Be sure to check your bill!!! Don't just let the waitress tell you the total!! We ate outside, when we asked for the check, she only TOLD us the total. We were splitting it so asked to break it out. Our friend's paid with a card and asked to see the check, but when using her little machine, because of the sun, he couldn't really see it. She only told us a total, which we paid and then tipped 20% on. It wasn't until I was home that I thought about it and the math just didn't add up. Our bill was $130 for 3 of us with 2 burgers ($15 each), 1 pizza ($21), 1 pretzel ($12) and 4 beers (I don't know how much they were but can't be more than $10 each). With the tip we added, that was over $50 per person,...how can that be right? Well, tip was already added because we were a group of 6- BEWARE, the waitstaff may not TELL you when she tells you only the total that the tip was already included!!!! And even when I add it up, it still doesn't equal $130 with her 18% tip. Morale of the story, they may be adding stuff, and tip, and you don't know it, so be sure to get a paper copy of the bill. read more

A large place that features as smallish menu of mostly burgers & pizzas, it is nonetheless popular. My fish & fries was good. The coleslaw was unique with a mix of lettuce & cabbage but little sauce. I was at Worthy on a fairly busy Friday night. And overall the experience was...okay. Positives + The food was good. Despite it being busy we were seating fairly quickly. It's a cool building! Negatives - The service was cold and unwelcoming. The Pale Ale was overly hoppy and more like an IPA. I like a good IPA but on this occasion I was hoping for something lighter. It was so loud. Maybe it's a sign of me getting older or something (?) but I couldn't handle it! I couldn't hear what my husband was saying. Neutral Comment There seemed to be a lot of kids and families there. This didn't bother me but I know some prefer a place with less kids while others may be looking for someplace more family friendly. read more

I am updating my review. We have now been there about 4 times and have tried multiple items on the menu. Worthy really needs to step it up when it comes to this if they are going to compete against breweries in Bend like Deschutes and Crux. Pretzel: Nothing compared to Deschutes. They were extremely small and the sauces that went along with them were nothing to rave about. Salad: I ordered the small salad which tasted good but was extremely small for the $8 that we were charged for it. Especially when it had no meat. Pizza: The pizzas that we have tried have been pretty good. "French Fries": These are more like Jo Joes. There were not very many, and they were burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. Soup was delicous but came out cold. The beer selection is good so far. However, we were a little thrown off that they were completely sold out of all their guest taps and not their own beer :-/. The service has been pretty good minus the fact that one of the bartenders doesn't seem to have a sense of urgency and people were getting pretty upset trying to order drinks from him. Hopefully I can update our review later to give them some more stars once they have been open for a little bit! read more

Checked out Bend's newest addition to the brewing scene, and they have some serious work to do. Nice building with terrible parking, and what looks like giant garden boxes in the blacktop. We were greeted at the door by an overwhelmed and unfriendly hostess, and a giant chain store like sign. We opted out of table service and went to the bar. Bar staff was friendly and attentive. Some had more knowledge than others. Beer was good. Had a stout and a bitter. Solid, but pretty standard styles. Nowhere near the quality or creativity of Crux, 10 Barrel, Boneyard, etc. Had one appetizer, the potato wedges. They were undercooked, under portioned, and overpriced. Our neighbor at the bar ordered the same, and received five times the portion as us! They even had an expediter watching the plates come out of the kitchen! Train your people, and be consistent. Might go back, might not. Nothing special to set it apart from the competition, except the size of the building. read more

Okay, so firstly id like to say that I rarely get an impulse to write a review about a place, unless it absolutely strikes an internal chord with me. The food here is PHENOMENAL! The flavors took me to places i hadnt been in quite some time. Truly fresh and amazingly tasting ingredients. This meal reminded me of what food should be. We had the quintessential chicken wings with mango habanero sauce. Then, I had the coconut clam chowder, which was amazing!! Followed by a warm beet salad which knocked my socks off with its subtle flavours and freshness. And the BEER!!!! The beer is dangerous. What a joke... The building was certainly eye-catching as we noticed it kitty-corner from our room at The Sleep Inn. Worthy's was very busy, so we just figured it had to be the happenin' spot in Bend. Worthy Brewing Co. was our first stop for food in Bend and by far the worst. As beautiful as the building is, the seating is picnic tables on the inside. Ordered a beer first. Prices range around 5 bucks and slightly under, but we're thinking "okay, well it probably comes in a pint". WRONG! They charge that outrageous price for a beer that comes in a small damn drinking glass! What the actual heck is that all about? It's such a rip. There was no incentive at all to order more than one. Taste of the beer itself was quite decent. Appetizer came and we ordered the garlic fries. Fries my foot... They were like oily jo-jos that hadn't been deep fried. They were just soggy as Hell. I'm still not sure how something covered in so much minced garlic could be so bland and tasteless, but give credit to Worthy's for making it happen. The Argentine pizza I ordered was good but not great. I've had way better artisan pizzas. Don't waste your time or money here... Ever. read more

Beer drinkers and culture lovers be warned. Worthy has built a very expensive building and their servers are very nice. However we did the tasting flight and it was very bad. All the beers tasted the same (probably one yeast strain which is not very interesting) and none I would drink again. The atmosphere is very sterile and uninteresting. Pretty bummed. We have been going to Worthy since the weekend they opened. One of the main reasons we go is because of the coconut clam chowder. We have family and friends who visit from out of town who insist on going just for coconut clam chowder. We went last night with my brother in law visiting and the chowder is gone and replaced with seafood chowder. First of all... The coconut clam chowder was delicious! Second... It was dairy free. It is very nice to have a dairy free option especially at a brewpub. Over the years Worthy keeps getting rid of our favorite menu items! Please bring back the coconut clam chowder! read more

Beer is good. I had their worthy IPA. Food is fantastic. Had the Friend of the Devil, Chicken fried sandwich. It's spicy but not too much, and paired with pickles just makes an amazing blend of yummy. To make this meal even more amazing , have it with sweet sweet potatoe waffle fries! read more

This place is outstanding - great beer, great food, great atmosphere and great value. We started with the Baked Goat Cheese Appetizer with the East Side Pale Ale - incredibly good start to our meal. We then had the Prosciuto Fig and Smokehouse Pizzas with the Lights Out Stout - also incredibly great! I regret that we didn't leave room for one of the desserts. I wish I didn't have to do this. Stopped in this establishment for lunch after driving hours, sat at bar. Server couldn't have been nicer. The reason for this post: apathy and disdain on the parts of her co-workers. We ordered a salad with blackened salmon and Mac & cheese with a side salad. Entrees were unceremoniously dispatched from a beleaguered kitchen staff. Chicken replaced salmon and no dressing on the salad. After trying in vain to get return service from one of the many 'busy talking to each other' servers, we finally obtained dressing and our original server took the salmon off our ticket. Mac&cheese was cold with congealed cheese. We asked if they could just warm it up? Again, our primary server couldn't have been nicer. After a long pregnant pause, the guys from the kitchen, who looked like they just climbed off the Megadeth tour after a trip to Mars began a slow parade out from their posts, in nasty t-shirts, oily hair sticking out underneath stocking caps. Clearly irritated with us. They were talking about the "Mac&cheese guy' to the servers, watching to see if we ate it. Not knowing my husband put himself through hairdressing school working in kitchens. Yup. They spit in it and we're waiting to see if it was eaten. We just left. I had read the previous reviews and unfortunately, I must agree. Recently moved to Bend and wanted to try for myself. Beautiful facility with a modern feel. Great patio with multiple fire pits. Someone definitely dropped some money on this place. Beer was pretty good, but the competition is tough here in Central Oregon. The service was. good, but the food was forgettable at best. Fried Goat Cheese app was misleading as it was just flatbread to dip in a marinara with a bit of goat cheese mixed in. The Pork Tacos were a bland, cold mess. Our server subbed out the Steelhead Tacos but they were only slightly better. Lastly, the Meatball Sandwich lacked enough sauce and the meatballs did not taste fresh, but frozen. Would return for a beer and to enjoy their patio, but I suggest you eat before you go. read more

Great indoor and outdoor seating options with a couple of bars. Service was prompt and gave great suggestions. Large rotating menu of great beers and ciders. The stout was excellent. Not too heavy but rich and smooth. Parking is limited but worth it. Food was tasty and fresh. Waffle cut sweet potato fries are legit. I am not sure why all the terrible complaints!! I loved the Fig, Prosciutto Pizza and added the Honey Drizzle from the Pear Gorgonzola Pizza. It was AMAZING!!!!. It was the second best pizza in town (1st is Pizza Mondo!). We were with a party of 35 people who took over the patio and the waitress was SO GOOD and patient with that large of a crowd. Not one mistake was made, which is tough with that large of a group. The patio is huge, great fire pits, heaters and a perfect place to bring the kids. I love the fact the fries are baked and not FRIED and that they actually resemble a REAL potato. I feel much better serving those to my kids than traditional fries. The beer was excellent. I had one of their IPA's and I have to say it did give Red Chair (my favorite beer) a good run for its money! I will be back for the beer too. The prices are so reasonable and comparable for Bend. The portions are generous, if not on the huge side. For people who are complaining about a wait, I think that is a good thing, it means they are busy and gainfully employing people in this town! Keep up the excellent work and thanks for opening such a great spot. I will be back and hope other's will lighten up a bit and give this place a shot! read more

Father took me here for my birthday of all days. Had the pork sliders and house cider. The cider was horrible and bitter. And because one of the staff does not know how to or did not wash their hands. I ended up in the emergency too Later that night for almost a day and a half. I am sorry but I would not recommend this place to any one. read more

So much potential, such terrible service. This place looks awesome exterior and interior you can see where all the money went and it does show. However you can only appreciate the decor for so long, we experienced terrible service, actually we received very little service. We sat at the bar on a weekday around 2pm and we were not greeted or even acknowledged for the first 10 minutes. I have been in the service industry for 10 years of I actually give heavy leeway to any server and am more than capable of killing time as long as I have reassurance that someone or anyone knows I'm there. A simple "hi" and a menu handout can go a long way. The beet salad was really great! Simple but definitely the only highlight of the visit. None of the beer stood out unfortunately, maybe the Saison? Being and IPA fan however it was disappointing. This place could be great but as of right now I'd much rather visit the other breweries in town that offer better beer, service and experience. Food way overpriced, and not that great, Beer, only found 1 beer that was decent in the sampler tray. Atmosphere, smells like big business showed up to the point it's almost suspicious of being an Inbev product, I could be wrong, but big breweries like this don't just show up over night without big business. Just look how long it took Rogue or Widmer to get as large as they are. I'll pass on this one next time I'm in bend. read more

Food was decent, brought me out the wrong food initially, service was incredibly slow and our waiter, John, was rude. He brought out our check without asking if we wanted anything else after not coming to check on us for 20 minutes, I ordered another drink and when he brought it he brought the check again and set it down... I was going to order desert and my spouse another drink but decided against it. He then proceeded to not come back to take my card and then I noticed the scan here to pay QR code so decided to go that route and after sitting there for another 10 minutes after paying we left. As we were leaving John proceeded to rudely chase us down and ask if we were going to pay. We did... if he would have checked on us he would have known and even after that he should have not assumed we ditched on the check when that is an option on the receipt. The patio was not overly busy and there were tons of servers and runners. Horrible experience. read more
