If I could give this store 0 stars I would.. I literally called before coming to confirm that they had a specific product in stock to which a lady answered and said yes.. I said great thank you I am on my way.. When I arrived at the store it was 2 ladies chit chatting like they were out for happy hour instead of working. I politely asked where the blue cross product I was looking for was at and one of the ladies decided to help me. She said " are you the one who called" I said yes. She said I think you meant this product because they don't make any other product. I stated yes they do it is online and I called to verify and stated the full name just for this purpose.. she then proceeded to tell me NO they do not I have been working here for 4 years I think I know what I'm talking about... I informed her that her customer service was extremely rude and asked if there was a manager I could speak with. She said no but stated she could get someone else to help me.. Jenny came over and was extremely helpful, although Sally's did not have the product I was looking for i appericate her help. The rude employee comes back and asks me to see a picture, I informed her that she sent someone else to help me so her service was no longer needed... she then proceeded to argure with me and tell me that she knows what she's talking about and asked ME not to be rude. I said please stop talking me to, you can walk away.. at this point she was literally harassing me while Jenny was trying to help me find a solution.. If you want to get harassed then come here, if not I recommend WOW beauty supply or someone else who would NEVER... it is really unfortunate that Sally allows employees like her to work here especially for 4 years. Sally... that girl... She's not a bad location at all in terms of actual service and products, but the store is tucked away in the shopping center off Tampa and Victory and sits in the corner just before Ross Dress for Less, which makes it less easy to pop in and out. The fact that you have to pay for a rewards card is terrible (and I know is more of a corporate thing, but sense I usually only come to this SBS I have to give them some of the blame). If you only stop in a few times a year which is how long it takes before you have to renew your points card there should be options not consequences.... The last two times I stopped in here nobody was at the register, the sales people were distracted by something/someone else or their personal conversations. I usually find what I'm looking for right away, but they do make minor moves to products which can throw you off. The customer service is good it's just the experience that can go a little side ways when everyone is preoccupied by other issues or more than one guest. Some of the staff here is top notch and knows all the ins and out, but not all of them... I'm not sure how well they train to know their inventory, because it does seem if you ask or are looking for something non-typical or a very specific brand... the recommendations are slightly askew. I remember looking for a blow dryer attachment not to long ago they claimed they were out of and found and purchased they same with a leave in conditioner... but have also had smooth flawless experiences with amazing advise for a toner I used that worked great. I'm not a hair care professional so I do appreciate that most employees will advise you against major hair changes in color and texture... however please just ring me up as I know you're dying to get back to your conversation... and thanks in advanced for not pushing the sally card on me anymore. My lesson that I keep learning as I run around to all the big stores, fighting crowds, trying to get help to save 10 cents at the W's and T's is that if I come here the selection is great, the prices are reasonable and even when it's crowded, it isn't as bad as standing in line for 20 min to buy a comb and a hair net after an hour of roaming around and looking, but not finding what I need. I don't like this location of Sally Beauty Supply. I came here today and again I didn't see any cashier on duty. No one helps to you, and only after waiting 5 minutes someone can come to a cashier desk. Today I had the same situation what I had before in this location. I was asked 3 times my card number and then the cashier realized that she was putting my card number on the phone number space. At the end she asked me does this car belonged to me. Almost every time when I came here I have problems with purchasing or finding someone in the store. Stopped in to get a curling iron that I had seen had 40% discount. When I walked in to look for it, the gal who directed me to the curling iron said to me that the discount was only online. Of course I didn't read the fine print on the website, but I needed the curling iron so I purchased it anyway. i love sallys! i mean what girl really wouldnt? its located conveniently inside of the shopping plaza and has everything beauty related. like a little treasure chest full of goodies!!! i'm a fan of reading beauty blogs and a lot of the "holy grail" type stuff is all found here & at very reasonable prices! i first went to sallys (maybe a few years ago) looking for hair dye kits. (when i was a noob) anywho the very friendly salesgirl told me they didnt have those but i could get the dye & developer separately. this was my first time dying my hair so i got scared & was tempted to leave but i looked around & ended up getting some queen helene's mint julep face scrub & mask for my friends & i do do a spa night. ever since then i was hooked, i'd come back for more scrubs, hair brushes to get some volume & tease, nail polishes (orly & chinaglaze) & hair product for my then permed hair.. and whatever other fun stuff i'd read about to try out. FINALLY after all that time.. i ventured in last week to get HAIR DYE & DEVELOPER! i got the mixing bowls and all the good stuff after talkin to some friends who have done it themselves plenty of times. i dyed my own hair a soft black after having gone brown & reddish from box dyes, i also did my mom's hair a brown/auburn & it was SO EASY! one part developer one part dye! wait about 30 min & you're good!!! just find the developer according to your desired color =) so much fun! oh & i recommend joining the beauty club cuz its definitely worth it. its five bucks but you get that back in a coupon to spend and they always have specials. like i came back to spend the five dollars & noticed if you got seche vite (the BEST topcoat out there) you'd get a free bottle of CHINA GLAZE POLISH. & with five bucks off that.. it was basically like 2 or 3 bucks for both! Came today to try and find some gold glitter nail polish to match my nails. Would you believe they had every color glitter but gold??? The woman who helped me was very nice. She found something that may work by the register. I ended up still spending 25 bucks on some Hemp lotion, a coupe lip pencils and some clear like gel polish. I go to Sally's frequently because i have natural hair and they have all the products I need. It gets annoying when you go to your general store and they only have one or two options for ethnic hair. I was looking for hair braid spray and I knew I could find it at Sally's which I did. What works for this store is the customer service and the variety of items.
