A few months ago, I had some slacks cleaned and pressed. The cuffs were not even close to being pressed evenly and square. I figured it was just a one-off mistake. Last week, I brought a shirt and two slacks. The stains were not cleaned at all (I doubt they even put them in the machine). The cuffs again were not pressed square and evenly, and both slacks had wrinkles pressed in all over, from waist to cuffs. I moved to the area 4 years ago, tried various cleaners before finding Wow ... then never looked back. The couple who own and operate this place are amazing people, fast, friendly, affordable, and very nice! The price is great, the work is impeccable, and they really go above and beyond. I come here almost weekly as I never wash/iron work clothes and they are always the best. I've had them rush a few things for me and it's always done when I go get it. The alternations are very inexpensive and she does great work! I've had them fix many clothing items, buttons, and wholes in my pocket. When you drop off the clothes for the service, the staff always inform you of the realistic expectations of when your order will be ready, and they'll keep the deadline on point! I have dropped off the clothes for the dry cleaning a few times, and they usually come back in good shape. Prices are reasonable as well. Highly recommend. read more

The whole shop is filthy. It hasn't been cleaned or dusted in a significant amount of time. The fitting room has an accordion door that takes a significant amount of work to open and close. The floor in that room is covered in debris. I took an outfit in for alterations. When I got it back, it had not been done. I gave it back to her. When I retrieved my items, the top had been altered, but the hems in the pants still had chalk marks, and were not hemmed. I decided to take the pants elsewhere to be hemmed, even though I paid her to do it. read more

I've been to this business a few times for dry cleaning. Everything I've taken there was ready when promised which is always nice. I took my pets jacket there to have it repaired and after we agreed how the repair should be, it was performed flawless. The lady working the counter is really nice to do business with. I brought my dad here to have some things hemmed and he was satisfied too. They have parking marked just for customers so you don't have to park on the street or go looking for a good spot. That's helpful when you're carrying several items to or from the business. read more

I called to see if they could accommodate my needs and the owner not only took care of me on the spot but she did not overcharge me like they would if I was in the HamptonRoads area! They lost my $2000 dollar custom made wedding suit. I was devastated and they had no explanation on what happened on how they lost it. I told them prior to handing the items how important they write not only because of their cost but more importantly the emotional attachment. The high rating for this place must be for a simple hemming or dry cleaning, because anything beyond that scope will be ruined. I took a dress in to be hemmed and have the straps taken up. I also had a strap around the back removed. Sounds simple, right? Well, she removed the straps and sewed the remnants back unevenly, causing the sides of my dress to bunch up and make me look like I need a girdle. I'm not too proud to admit when I need something to hold me in, but these rolls are not me; they're the dress (see pics.) She also took the shoulder straps up unevenly so the dress gaps under one arm. When I pointed these things out, she blamed it on the fabric because it's stretchy and I just need to "pull it down." It's beyond terrible and I'm not sure I have time to have this fixed. ETA: I went back twice for her to fix the issues and I wasn't comfortable with taking it back a third time. I took it to another seamstress who was able to show me what was done. She had stretched the fabric out to perform the alterations and since it's stretchy, it bunches up when released. She stitched over the bunches in the fabric, causing it to remain bunched (not just "wrinkled") when worn. She also took the straps up unevenly so the boning on the sides caused he sides to gape at my arms. Luckily, the second seamstress was able to undo the mistakes and alter it to fit correctly. ETA 2: To respond to the owner's comment: yes, the initial alteration was to hem the dress and remove the strap on the back. When I came back to try on the dress, we noticed the shoulder straps weren't right so the seamstress shortened them to make them fit properly. When I came back to pick up the dress the final time, it looked like this. Rather than argue with her when she told me it just needed to be pulled down or risk more things needing to be fixed, I took it to another seamstress who showed me what was done. The area on the sides that are bunched WERE altered, but neither of us could figure out why since that was not part of the areas that needed work, unless your shop undid that seam to bring the dress in so that the straps would be tighter around my shoulders. It's been nearly 5 months since this transaction; I'm not interested in seeing other examples of your work but I appreciate your response. read more

I used this drying cleaner for awhile to clean my dresses due to the convenience of work. I would have to mark the dirty spots for them with their tape and the dresses would still come back with the dirty spots on them. After pointing the spots out they would try again and again. It got to a point where they "attempted" to clean the same dress 4 times, only for the woman to blame the color of the dress. I would have to say that they lack attention to detail and are unable to thoroughly clean fabric. Make sure that you check your clothes before you leave with them! read more

So far, I've had no problems with this dry cleaner. They are professional and courteous, and do a good job. The best part is their low prices. :-) I used to go to Ultra Clean in Wildewood, but the owner's an a##hole, and they ruined my dress. I haven't had any of those problems at Wow! read more

I purchased a new dress and the first time I wear it it gets ripped on a nail. I was sooo disappointed. I had given my dress to a well seasoned seamstress but, to no avail it was not a successful repair. In a last ditch effort I took it to WOW Cleaners and I was greeted by a friendly face. I explained my situation and I was assured that they will do their best to save my dress. I picked up my dress and it was a promised!
