Wow has been doing service on my street all day, Mind you I am not a customer and after today I will NEVER be a customer. No one came to my door, No one bother to ask me about needing to inter my PRIVATE property. One of their service techs just walks right down my driveway and into my backyard. I stopped him from going further into my yard and told him he is trespassing and that he needed to leave and he does not have my permission to be on my property. HE tried to explain why he was there and I told him that wasn't my concern and that he needed MY permission to be on MY PRIVATE property. He said he would wait for the police and that they would say it's okay. The hell they will. I wasn't told they would need access, Wasn't shown a work order, NOTHING! I called the company and talked to their Service Tech. I explained what happen and this Rude and Very unprofessional person said "What do you want me to do about it". My response, "I don't know, try training your techs about knocking on peoples door to let them know what's going on, or is that too much to ask for". I then asked why didn't anyone come to my house and let us know. All I got was "okay". I asked for a supervisor. Was told he needs a reason for me asking. Ummm? Really? I then asked 3 more times and was told "no". I told him fine and told him flat out. IF ANY of your techs walks onto my property again without my consent then I would press charges and call the BBB and Comers. This company is a Joke. I had a disappointing experience with WOW Internet. After three months of service I requested disconnection (4/17/2026) and have been attempting to return equipment for over a week, but customer service will not provide return instructions because I never set up a PIN. Despite paying my last bill on 4/06/2026, I was billed $120 again on 4/23/2026, and it appears charges continue while the equipment remains on my account. Additionally, I was promised a $300 gift card at sign-up after three months of service, but customer support informed me I would not be receiving it. Overall, the billing issues and unhelpful customer service have left me very dissatisfied and I would not recommend their service. read more

The only thing that is reliable about WOW internet service is that it will cut out and be unavailable for the majority of one Day a week. Which day I have no idea. So its hard to plan. The other six days are a mixed bag of I work, to i'm not going to work during your meeting so use your phone as a hot sport for your meeting. The good news is my kids are going back to school and I wont have them telling me the internet isn't working. I signed up with the WOW business Internet in 2022. I made the mistake of signing a contract for 3 years in order to benefit from a significant discount. Honestly, this discount was not worth it. My business relies heavily on the Internet and the WOW Internet service was dropping very frequently. My contract with WOW was up in July 2025. I called them to make sure that they do not renew my contract and to inform them of my intention to cancel my service with them. The representative asked me why I want to disconnect (I think her name was Barbara) and I told her that it is because WOW Internet service is very poor and it drops very frequently. So she informed me of this "new service" that they called "Business Continuity" where they use 4G LTE service to keep me connected to the internet in case of outage. This service was for an additional $50-$60, which was well worth it for me in case it works. So again she offered me a 3 years service for Internet and this Business Continuity for an attractive monthly fee. So I fell again into the same trap! after the Business Continuity was installed, the Internet in my business became extremely slow. I called them within 24 hours after they installed it and I informed them about the issue and they said it seems that everything is working fine from our side. It was a Friday evening and my business is usually very busy on the week and so I insisted that they send me a technician to check it, which they did (after warning me that this might cost me $100). However, the technician who came that afternoon actually did not even know anything about the Business Continuity service and thought that I called the wrong company. So obviously this technician was not of any help. So it took until Monday to get another technician who actually knows about the Business Continuity. He reiterated what I heard on the phone that everything is fine on their side and that the problem must be from my equipment. The fact that this problem did not happen until they installed the Business Continuity did not mean much to them. I got my own IT guy who checked the system and found out that this Business Continuity has some type of firewall which we cannot override. So obviously this new system was not for me because it made the situation even worse (now I have a bad and slow Internet without any backup options). So of course I had to get rid of the Business Continuity. I called WOW and explained the situation to them and asked to cancel Business Continuity but they refused to do so without an early termination fee of over $800. This is despite the fact that my request to cancel the service was just a few days after it was installed and of their false claim of "satisfaction guaranteed" for 60 days. Couple phone calls and some yelling on the phone were in vain. By the way I did not even request to cancel their mediocre Internet service--just the Business Continuity which did not work and actually made the intellect worse. My advice is that do not be lured by the cheap price offered by this Internet service. You get what you pay for. Pay a little extra and sign up with another company that is reliable and has a better customer service. read more

NEVER use this company!!! I cancelled my account and had to return the items to the drop box. Luckily I read reviews and someone said he wish he would have taken a video of items being returned. We returned each item showing the bar code and what do I get in the mail, a letter saying in 10days they are sending me to collections for all missing equipment . When I called and told them I had video of all items returned they said there was no way for them to watch the video. Finally after several days of calls I was given a email address to send the videos. Weeks later I called to make sure my account was closed because they will not send you a letter or any email unless it is being sent to collections. I was told that there was now 1 item missing and good thing I turned the videos because I would have been charged. There is not a office to return items to so you can get a receipt. They suggested I email the corporate staff that is listed on line, what a joke every email I sent was sent back as not deliverable. So everyone out there beware prior to returning their equipment to their "SECURE" drop box. Take a video of the bar code and close the door and re open it on video. I'll have to make this quick since I don't know how long my internet service will actually be online. There has not been a day in the last two months that I have not had to unplug my modem, router and disconnect the cable to get my service back online at least twice. Recently, I was actually able to watch an entire movie without a re-start. The internet service has become unreliable and the customer service is useless. I don't need someone telling me to unplug my modem, wait 30 seconds and plug it back in before they tell me it must be a cable problem that they can fix for a small per hour service fee. I have been a WOW! customer for like 16 years and I only have 10 months left on my current contract and when it's done, I'm going to seriously consider changing providers. read more

RUN FROM WOW!!!!Terrible customer service. Interruptions all the time with service. They stink!! I have been a customer since 2003 and they don't care any longer about customers! The technician never showed up - lied that he was at the house and no one was home. I have security cameras, there was no technician that ever showed up according to the cameras. When I told the Customer Care the technician never showed, he said he must have gone to another house or something worse happed to him. I wanted someone else out to the house that day because we had no internet. They couldn't find anyone to come and I would have to wait 5 days for service. Do not get wow in your house. It never works always down. The customer service is terrible. Foreign tech support reading lines instead of providing support. They care nothing about customer service. Do not use this company. Hour after hour of no service. Just drive around the area and see how many trucks are out pretending to work. Wow is the absolute worst telephone provider a person could use. I would prefer to give Wow a negative 5; but that option does not exist. We have been without a landline for nearly 2 months. Numerous calls to have resulted in ZERO POSITIVE RESULTS. Extremely long wait times times with either talk or chat times. Information has to be given numerous times as one gets bounced from one department to another. Some tech "experts" seemed to have little experience in diagnosis or solving problems. Techs have been polite and speak adequate "public relation words; but have very weak communication skills. Standard response to report of problems has been--Check all connections (I had prior to call and their service tech installed system)--Reboot computer--Reboot Modem--Be patient with the system and process of repair--(Of course I had already performed these actions on my own.) Under tech's direction system was remotely reviewed and rebooted 4-5 times. Tech was reminded of previous failures. The tech's reply was that perhaps another attempt would be the "fix." Of course that failed. (What's that definition of insanity?) After that failure the tech diagnosed the problem as a bad modem. Service was to be dispatched within 4-5days later. Tech arrived and 1.5 hours later told me that modem was perfect. The problem, I was told, had to do with widespread Michigan phone outage to which there were no known solution. Tech said that he would ask Wow to contact me when service was restored. I asked Wow about compensation for lost service. Of course I would be refunded $9.99, but no compensation for my time or frustration.. When bill was posted I received a surprise, Instead of a credit, my bill was raised approximately $9.00. Eventually a credit was posted. Why do I want a landline, considering the problems? I need a landline to give spammers and telemarketers place to peddle their wares. Also, being a confirmed masochist, enjoy the pain. Need I mention that a comparable level of service of service exists in the areas of cable, streaming, internet, dependability, equipment failure, promptness of service, ETC!!! Expect high prices. forced tier programming, many unwanted programs, billing inaccuracies and a constant gamesmanship in the area of perpetual contract renegotiation and price increases. I have been with Wow since 2010 when they bought out Broadstripe. I live rural and the only other provider is Frontier which is worse. I have had nothing but trouble with Wow. I had to file a FCC complaint on them once before when I somehow got behind on the bill. I would pay the amount only to be told I was still behind. I started call to get the exact amount to fully catch up. I would pay that amount only to be told I was still behind. I'd call again stressing that I wanted to pay every cent I owed only to do that and then get a bill I was behind. That one took months to resolve, I believe they removed a couple of late fees. This time I assert that in November of 2016 I called to up my service to a business account..My Bf Bf had gotten a job allowing him to work entirely from home. The cheapest business service they offered was $80 and 1g speeds. Before this time we had had so much trouble with the service that I just wanted the protection a business account offered me. Business accounts are supposed to be serviced within 4 hours. We weren't really concerned with the speed offered but for reference that speed was 1g. Also if I may state that they have been in my house countless times due to poor service. During those visits they have completely re-wired my house inside and outside from the house to the box that sits on the south east corner of my property. There is also a box on the south west side of my property that I had to fight with them to park in my driveway when they are there as apposed to the edge of my yard, destroying the grass and cause a huge muddle puddle. Also note: Every time we call they claim it is our equipment. We have refused to use their box so have now replaced both our router and modem 3 times due to their insistence. We have also removed cable from the account because speeds were so slow we pixelated every time we wanted to watch tv. At this time we only receive internet from them. On 4/29/2019- I received a letter from WOW stating that their "technician recorded abnormal signal leakage coming from our home" they said they needed access Inside to locate and fix the problem. I called multiple times to find out what noise and leakage meant. No one knew. I ultimately refused because my boyfriend works from home and they could not provide an appointment time outside of his working hours and as I have stated prior to this they have been in my house countless times. Sometime around May (2019) our service was out for two days. During that time we were informed their records indicated we didn't have a business account. The fix was eventually handled by a business customer service rep over the phone. After the incident I called and was assured that they now had me as a business account. We didn't discuss speeds. My bf lost two days of work. After this outage I received another letter (dated 5/29/2019) saying the same thing about needing to get in the house. Both letters were signed by a Michael Cronin Technical Operation Administrator. I honestly do not remember if I called the second time or just blew it off. Honestly now I feel that they had shut us off and the woman that turned us back on wasn't aware so they sent out another threatening letter. On 1/17/2020 my Bf took off a day of work because my son had ear surgery. While in there Drs found a large mass. A biopsy was taken to see if it was cancer. As you can imagine we were a wreck. We also had received a foreclosure on our home because we were 2 years behind on our property taxes. This vicious cycle started because I got behind while applying for SSDI and had no income. We thought we had paid enough last year to only put us one year behind but we were mistaken and we now owed just over $5,000. I share this to explain our state of mind when our service went out on Monday the 20th. When my Bf got up for work we did not have service. The equipment we have using the internet: 2 smart TVs 1 desktop and associated phone for his business use 1 iPad 2 T-Mobile S9+ cell phones 1 voip home phone because we have a metal roof and as I said we are very rural so our cellphones do not work well in our home. We stream using Chromecast Speed tests up to the date of 1/20 were 25-35 mbps But we didn't complain because things were working and the important thing was that we had that business account 4 hour service promise. read more

Wow was my internet provider for a little over 1 year. They offer new customer promotions all the time. After the promotional price I was told the rate would increase $10 which wasn't a problem. Service was fine for a while, but had some issues with connectivity when streamlining Netflix. Buffering of movies while trying to chill was frustrating. When the term was up I received a new bill that was $20 more per month. I had called several times prior to confirm pricing increase. They told me nothing could be done. However, they offer some promotion when I called to cancel and the new service provider was at my home. I guess they didn't think I would switch. The bad thing is you can't mail in the leased equipment and must drop it off or face a $250 charge (for a $99 modem). I was not wowed by the service or experience. read more

They are claiming we owe service for months when we couldn't have possibly used their equipment and service because it was returned. AVOID #WOW_WAY Cable service. WOW Internet, Cable & Phone Monday (7/10/17) I called and ordered a #WOW_WAY bundle (phone/internet/cable). The rep told me after taxes it would be about $142/Mo for the bundle. I agreed and had it installed today (7/13/17). The installer was late to BOTH time windows he provided. After installation I started going through the channels and I noticed some missing from the bundle I ordered 3 days ago. I called customer service and after a long wait I was told I ordered a different smaller package (with no Nick Jr which is Keira's favorite, so that's wrong) and then she told me the bundle is now $167Mo. IT'S NOT OK TO LIE AND UPCHARGE ME! I then speak to a supervisor who seemed helpful at first. He even went back to listen to the 17min call I made on Monday to order service. He then came back and said he heard no mention of $142/Mo from his rep and also didn't hear me ask for a certain package. Which means he wants me to believe I was never quoted an estimate and never asked for a bundle. I asked how I hear this recording because both were clearly mentioned in my order call. He then said I'd need a COURT SUBPOENA to hear it. Basically, he says he's didn't hear it, I can't hear the recording, so pay the $167/Mo charge. DO NOT ORDER #WOW_WAY SERVICE OF ANY KIND! I wish I could give WOW negative stars. Today, I called about another $10.00 a month increase. My bill has steadily went up over 50% in the last year. When I called to inquire about the latest increase, I was told by an incompetent rep that my previous plan was deleted or updated merely due to his alleged quote which I did not want. This action caused my bill to raise an additional $5.00 on top of the $10.00 I was originally calling about. When I told the customer service representative to leave my plan as it was, I was informed that was not possible, as my account was updated without my permission. So, the $10.00 increase, I was calling about was raised to 15.00 per month. On top of all of that, it took me 45 minutes to get through to customer service and another hour to get my bill raised even more than I was calling about. I am going to cancel WOW, even if I have to pay more. This was the worst customer service, EVER!!!! And I've been with WOW for 17 years. I've had enough!!!!!! Do not do business with WOW. Longtime customer. They lost my February payment. Have January, March and April. Said it must have been misapplied but they would look for it and call back in five days. No call for two weeks. Called customer service and they said I would have to wait. Two more weeks, no call but now my service is cut off. Called and asked why. They said they couldn't find the February payment but never called me for some reason. Gave me an email to send payment statement to show I paid. Email didnt work. Called back and for another email. Didn't work either. Tech service got me an email after two days. Then service was cut off again. Called back. Got a fourth and fifth email. Refused to turn my service back on. Said I could use my cel phone service to email a photo since I can't use the computer. Avoid them at all costs. I've spent hours on the phone and don't have service because they lost the payment. Call today for service information on my Plan and was transferred to the Philippines and spoke with Victor about charges that are now showing up on my bill which he couldn't explain because hes in the Philippines when I asked for him to transfer me back to the US he stated he couldn't. Very disappointed with WOW. I've been a loyal customer and tried to stay with them even though their service quality is very low- frequent interruptions in the tv picture and internet connection. We've frequently needed repairs and upgrades to lines because of poor service, each time they've given us a new box which means we lost all of our dvr recordings- I can understand if it happens maybe once or twice but not 6 times! Now I want to get rid of their horrible service and they're charging me $270 to cancel - $15 for each month left on my contract. I have been with WOW fo over 10 yrs and they have gone down hill. My remote quit working, so I went to their office and received a new one. The paper they gave me was for "NEW" remotes that just came out. I tried for several hours to program it and could not. So I called WOW Customer Service and I talked to 2, yes 2 reps and could not understand either one. So I made a $50.00 dollar service call and the guy that came out is sub- contacted, and told me the remote is not the newest one. So he gave me one and he was here for 3 minutes. WOW, you are getting a call from me Monday. Plus, I went paperless and still got a late fee cause they did not email me when my bill was due.
