They've had growing pains, but comparing "how the sausage is made" between Nexcess and others, I'm very happy with our choice. Nexcess is one of few providers that genuinely optimize the server environment to your advantage. Their support isn't outsourced and has historically been stellar in spite of a rough patch a few years ago. I continue to recommend Nexcess to anybody that needs every last ounce of performance. They responded quickly and kindly. When I followed up the next day to ask the ETA I heard nothing and nothing for the next week on when we could expect a technician to install our new system. I was initially told 5 - 7 days, the start of week 3 I cancelled my service and it took two days to get a response back from them. I wouldn't work with this company, their lack of communication is very concerning.

They claim to bury 18 inches but it looked like 4 or 5 inches at best -Unexplained bill increases. Most likely pulling back their covid-era speed increases by charging their customers. -Customer service chat/phone call is the worst I've ever dealt with. Agents need to have the issue repeated multiple times. You're reporting an issue and they say "excellent, I'm glad to hear that and hope you're doing well". Either not understanding or not listening. -Canceling was very painful. Could not be done through chat, had to be done over the phone, was transferred 4 times and kept getting asked to renew. I'm still getting calls and emails to reactivate my service. I also had to pay Fedex to ship my equipment back, I couldn't drop them off at this location. I know most internet/cable companies are poor but WOW is by far the worst I've ever had. Avoid at all costs.

I waited all of about 45 seconds before someone (I think his name was Rich or Rick) helped me. He looked at my account and saw that 1) yes, it went up and 2) they no longer have that plan. BUT, he found another plan with a higher gig speed and it was $10 cheaper! Plus, he said if I change my autopay from a credit card to automatic bank withdrawl, it will go down another couple of dollars. So, while I wish 1) we had the free broadband for all that they were planning years ago and/or 2) actual competition and availability of internet providers, my experience at the Xfinity office was pretty good.
