Good course on a dry day. Has some serious drainage issues. If it has rained recently, play elsewhere.

Wrenwoods is in great shape! Aaron and his staff have worked really hard to make this an enjoyable experience. It is well worth the price.

I recently got into golfing and as a beginner I've found this golf course is perfect. I've started…read moreby just using the driving range right behind the clubhouse. I wish it was covered but it's otherwise a nice range. The grounds are well maintained and the staff are always nice and helpful. The clubhouse is going under renovations that will give them a bigger space. They have a nice bar and restaurant and a decent pro shop. If you're a Goose Creek City employee you should inquire about the discounts they offer!

Pretty much everything after that point went to hell in a handbasket, but not in anyway due to the course. To post a decent score at Crowfield, you must have a lot of information at your hands. Danger lurks everywhere, so a shot five to seven yards off line is DEAD, followed by a penalty and a double bogie. The greens were punched and over-seeded, so they were bumpy but the Pro Shop had been discounting greens fees accordingly. Mark in the shop was such a gentleman, he went over the entire course yardage book, hole by hole with me. Mostly pointing out the removed bunkers, 38 in all, I took notes. They were removed because the course was playing just too difficult for the average player. So here is my advice, check where the water is on each hole, again, a slight push fade or a slight hook draw and your DEAD. You must play from the fairway to have and hope for pars or the occasional birdie. There is just no way you can scramble from the trees and get up and down for par, it just ain't gonna happen. Beautiful facility, beautiful clubhouse and a course that I was not at all prepared for, it really humbled me, it whipped me. I had to call two playing partners in NYC to talk me off the ledge, or I was calling Dr. Jack Kevorkian the very next morning.

Me. Ben, James & Molly played here on the Wednesday after Easter…read more We were on a Spring break holiday. Ben had this course recommended by a co-worker who lives in Charleston. An overall good experience. Very small bag drop location. It's better to just pick-up your cart and retrieve your bag from your vehicle as they have a large parking lot. Check in was smooth and easy. Very pleased they offer a Veteran discount of $45.00 for 18 holes with a cart, otherwise its $105.00. They have a driving range but you're required to hit off mats. Very small practice putting area where balls are included. The carts have built in GPS, the tee boxes are well marked and maintained & they offer multiple tee options. All the fairways are fairly wide open, there is a fair amount of water with small creeks and steams coming into play. There are also small ponds on the front and back as you're playing along the Stono River with some nice views. All the greens were in great shape and fairly straight forward. This is a busy and popular place, even during the week, we were delayed about 30 minute off the first tee. Pace of play wasn't great either, so we played about a 5 hour round of 18. Sadly, there was no Marshal to maintain pace of play. The Staff at the clubhouse was great as was the Staff at the grill. I really like that they have the self-service hot dog station with all fresh condiments for an excellent all-beef hot dog. Several great holes on the back 9, especially #18, a par 4, which plays about 250 yards from Senior tees & requires a strategic drive to reach an island green. I would highly recommend this course but don't be on the clock.

I was genuinely excited to get away and enjoy a round of golf here…read more Unfortunately, this course ended up being a textbook example of how a few bad employees can completely ruin what should be a great experience. The golf shop staff were shockingly unprofessional. Rude, dismissive, and openly negative from the moment I walked in. Golf is supposed to be welcoming even municipal courses understand that but these two employees acted as though their goal was to sour the day of anyone unfortunate enough to interact with them. Every single time I have walked in these two bearded guys in there sit there and do nothing all day and are jerks to every person walking in. Even kids excited to play golf. Their demeanor was hostile for no reason, and the strong smell of alcohol only added to the discomfort. No guest should ever feel unwelcome at a public course they're paying to enjoy. The facilities were equally disappointing. The bathroom was beyond unacceptable dirty, neglected, and clearly not maintained with any regularity. It honestly looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in years. This alone reflects a serious lack of pride and oversight. Even something as simple as parking was ignored. Leaves and debris everywhere. A quick blow-through would take minutes, yet the neglect is obvious. These are basic standards, not luxuries. Mounds and mounds. What makes this especially frustrating is that the course itself has real potential. The layout and location could make this a fantastic municipal golf destination. But that potential is completely undermined by careless maintenance and, more importantly, staff who seem to actively dislike the people keeping the course in business. This review isn't written out of spite it's written out of disappointment. With the right leadership, accountability, and staff who understand basic professionalism, this place could be great. Until then, be prepared for an experience that feels less like a relaxing round of golf and more like an unnecessary headache. Charleston deserves better from its public courses.

The layout is the same except the reno toughened it up considerably. More deep bunkers in the fairways and guarding many holes. More elevated greens with " features". Hard to hold the greens Which were fast and in good condition. New electric carts with GPS. this course is no push-over, but overall a good experience. I should add that the clubhouse/ grill is unchanged. Pure 50s. A pretty good grilled baloney sandie.

The 18 hole "Ralston Creek" is an exciting 18 hole regulation course, where you need to step up your game a notch, if not these 2 courses will cut you in half.. From the longest tees, the course plays to about 7,446 yards of golf for a par of 72, that my friends is about current U.S.OPEN length, with a lower slope rating though.course rating is 74.4 with a slope rating of 134. The Nationwide tour still hosts an event here and truthfully, if there were the room for bleachers, concessions and transportation. With a few weeks work to narrow the fairways and toughen up the greens, I believe the PGA could host an event here, it is that good. The course was designed by Rees Jones and opened in 2006. The 18-hole "Beresford Creek" course at the Daniel Island Club features 7,093 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . This is the older of the two courses and opened around 2000.The course rating at Beresford Creek is 74.4 and it has a slope rating of 134, so it plays shorter, but no less difficult.
