These guys are great! I wanted to order a special Father's day meal for my dad and only remembered at the last minute. I was able to put in my order online quickly and Laurie worked out the payment by card via phone. She was super kind and helpful. Unbelievable. I was able to get a world class meal delivered to my loved ones in under an hour from when I first called in. The name is appropriate, 'cause it really Was delivered "Right Away"! We love this service. Don't feel like cooking dinner some nights, so we check out the menus and call them. Last week, it was Sirens. Tonight, it's Blue Moose burgers. I wish all of the restaurants in town would take advantage of this AND include more of their full menu (talking to YOU, Lanza's.). They could take in more money and wouldn't have to deal with turning over tables and all that goes with it. And us? We get to eat good food in our jammies, if we want. :-D read more

We are a family who saw a need and filled a need. We live in a town of amazing food and we knew that a food delivery service like Wright Away Delivery would be well received, so we took a chance. Damian and Lelah Wright had a vision of environmentally responsible delivery of quality food the community of Port Townsend. And this vision is a reality!

This is a way that we know we can have good delicious healthy food and have it be ready in two or three minutes! I really like that you can choose regular or Paleo meals and that each week it's a new menu with different meals than the week before. I don't like to do a lot of dairy so I LOVE that all her meals are dairy free! I have started a list in my phone of my all-time favorites so that way I remember if they come up on the menu again to order a couple extra or to get a family size meal and my fiancé, his son and I can all have it for dinner one night! It's a bit spendy, but for me the value is in the time saved and avoiding eating out or having to buy crappy frozen lean cuisine type meals! My fiancé was skeptical at first because we've tried a few other meal and food delivery type services and we always end up canceling after a month or two because we don't see the value. But he has come to really love these meals and also really appreciate having them in the fridge! It's also nice that most of the meals freeze really well so if you don't go through all your meals that week you can freeze them, but we don't have that problem LOL, we always eat all of the meals that we picked each week! AFTER 3 bad drip coffees taken black, I ordered a delicious latte from Better Living Through Coffee. My vegan latte made with macadamia alternative milk was near nirvana. The line was long but moved fairly quickly. However, the shape of the cafe doesn't help to make a streamlined queue... it's crowded and a bit confusing as to who's standing to order and who's waiting to pick theirs up. Nonetheless, I was excited to see the options in their pastry case and on their menu. The bigger case had mostly a bunch of quiche and savory options, while a smaller one had sweets. I ordered the salmon quiche because I've never seen that anywhere else so hello, gotta try it! I also got the Arancia (basically an orange mocha) because I love the combination of chocolate and citrus. I appreciated that the worker communicated well and told us the quiche would take 10 minutes to warm up. My husband got an Ethiopian light roast pour over, which was cool to see being made on an apparatus that looked like it had space for about five pour overs at once. Opinions on what we got: Ethiopian Light Roast- Flavorful, just a bit lighter than others I've tried, and it didn't go sour with time. Very good! Arancia- Holy cow this was delicious and I would definitely get it again. Keep in mind, the orange peel was actually in my cup and I was surprised when all of a sudden I was chewing on something and pulled it out of my mouth! But it does say "orange peel" in the description on the menu, so I should've known. Salmon Quiche- A bit pricy but wonderful! The quiche itself was well seasoned, & the salmon was evenly distributed. My only complaint is that the crust was quite difficult to cut with a plastic knife. We were on their patio, so we had to go back inside to grab a metal butterknife (of course we returned it). Tamale Pie- Oh yeah! We left to walk around town then decided we were way too curious about a tamale pie in the case that we were eyeing earlier, so we returned to get that to go. Unfortunately, this was a big disappointment. First off, this was the same price as the salmon quiche but the quality seemed so much worse. It didn't taste good, was unevenly cooked (mostly dry), and the crust was hard as rock. I even put taco sauce on top from a pack we had in the car. It helped to make it taste a little better. Would never get this again, though. Overall, I really enjoyed Better Living Through Coffee and will be sure to return on my next visit to try other quiches and drinks.

The hot sauce was "house made habanero " I guess in generic bottles after asking for Cholula. It was ok but not my preferred sauce. And the chips and salsa I asked if they were included and brought to the table but later found that they charged us for them???? Not a fan of that from an expense and a transparency standpoint!! The chips are house made and not uniformly made with thick chewy parts and a lot of crumbs. House made salsa reminded me of a house made version of jarred salsa. The staff was very nice and accommodating and two cute sisters dominate the service scene which was fun to watch. So I don't know that we will go again but glad we tried it. I really hate change so I have waited to place an order with the new owners of Wright away Delivery! Today we decided to give it a try! Well I called three times and got a text on my phone telling me that they were taking an order and to call back. On the forth call I left a message stating my intention of placing an order. TEXT MESSAGES: Me: "Do you deliver until nine (9)" WAD : "We do. We are both out on other orders ahead of you though and can't call any more in until theses are done " Me : "So do you think I will be able to order tonight?" WAD: "I can't be sure. It depends on these restaurants orders and how fast they are. Everyone is really busy tonight" Me: "I will just call and pick up myself" WAD: " Good deal. Sorry we are so swamped 10 min later...... WAD "I just got finished with my orders. Are you all taken care of?" Unfortunately that was "five" minutes to nine 8:55pm and I had to place an order somewhere else or no one would have delivered after nine. The only reason I am giving them one star is because I received a text back. If they would have placed the order before nine the restaurant would have prepared the order even if they didn't get to it until a few minutes late, but by not taking the order they would have ensured the order couldn't be placed after nine. I hope in the next several months they can have a plan on how to accommodate every call! My husband and I ordered 4-6 times a week in the past and that is a lot of lost revenue that is critical to a small business in the winter months. read more

You sure won't hear me 'yelping' about the service from Wright Away Delivery. Tonight I ordered a great meal from Alchemy...and Lelah Wright showed up at 6pm on the dot with my piping hot Cape Cleary Wild Salmon dinner and icy cold salad. I've been a customer of Wright Away since they opened. On a dark rainy night like tonight it is SUCH a treat to have a fantastic meal arrive as requested...and for just a five dollar delivery charge. You can really count on the service to get your meal on time, and to get it right. Wright? I gave gift certs for Wright Away as Christmas presents to several of my friends this year. Great service! We received our food within a half hour of ordering, fresh and hot at a most reasonable price for delivery. So nice when doing 24/7 care for my aged father to share a good meal together without my having to cook up separate items to satisfy everyone. Agree with the previous reviewer that more restaurants in Port Townsend should sign up. read more
