For this little hole in the wall coffee shop, they make some bimb drinks. When coming in and visiting family, I always make it a priority to come and get a drink from the coffee shop. I was in town for a night, popped in the next morning. Was overwhelmed with all the beautiful choices and delicious looking pastries. I told the young lady that I liked sweet iced coffee and I was allowing her to make whatever she desired. It looked fabulous. Excellent baked goods, like, everything is delicious! I especially liked the giant cinnamon roll and the lemon blueberry bread. Coffee here is also a nice way to start the day. My wife and I were headed to Whidbey Island for the weekend. We were catching an early boat so we parked in the ferry line and we we started walking looking for coffee. This was the first place we saw and not wanting to wander to far and risk missing the boat it is the place we chose. WRONG DECICISON. Walking in you notice something amazing, stacks and stacks of cookies. They probably do this to throw you off the scent of their horrible espresso shots and scalded milk. My wife and I order 2 dirty chai's (Chai latte with espresso) with their Dragonfly chai. The lady making it used one pitcher for both drinks. Not to big of a deal but shows the quality we were in for (low). As she was making them another lady said to her that the milk was done and our barista just waived her off like it was no big deal. Let me tell you she should have listened. The sugars in the milk were gone and the milk was so hot we couldn't even hold the cups even though they were double cupped AND had a sleeve! The espresso shot was for sure dirty so you could taste the burnt espresso from all previous shots pulled through the machine. All that to say the barista was nice enough but service can only go so far when you serve disgusting hot lava to your customer. Take my advice and take the extra time to walk on down to an Amazing coffee shop called "Better Living Through Coffee" better views and better coffee. Nice little coffee shop that Steve and I ducked into when we were looking for some coffee in Port Townsend. I had a kind of spicy chocolate mocha which was pretty good! There were lots of other different coffee drinks as well! Despite this coffee shop being a walk in sort (as opposed to the drive up sort) there is no place to sit inside so some may take issue with that. At the time Steve and I were here their register was not able to accept debit or credit cards. They said it was due to a software upgrade that didn't work so well so we had to pay cash... and luckily we had some. We almost always pay with our cards though... many people do so be aware of that when going in. Hopefully that software problem was corrected so they can use cards again. But if not best go in prepared with some cash to avoid a possible pay hassle later. read more

To the owner; We entered your store this afternoon only to hear you loudly reprimanding your employees in front of 3 customers. It made us very uncomfortable to where we exchanged looks , quickly purchased our food, but felt badly for the girls who provided very good service. You mentioned not putting out mangos at least three times very loudly and mean. Instead of barking out reprimands, wouldn't it be better to privately teach them the correct way? She lets me know that those take awhile, normally I wouldn't care about the wait but the way she says it, it sounds like it will legitimately hurt her to make these. She couldn't show it more on her face that she doesn't want to make these. Yeah I get it, theres a wait, a line building behind me because it takes her a long time to make a basic drink, and im asking her to make 3 more.
