My project was removing a 25' load bearing wall and putting in a glulam beam with a post support. i also replaced two windows 10x5 and 8x3, removed current kitchen window and reframed in another location, move our current slider downstairs where an old aluminum slider was, framed in the removed slider and put the new slider location down in place of the dining room window. also framed in a new 5x12 pantry (behind cabinets/refrigerator). quality and craftsmanship was excellent and the price could not be beat! One thing to stood out to me is how quickly they were able to get the jobs done. Jeremy, the owner, is very good at coordinating the various workers so there was very little waiting time during the project. He moves the project along quickly and does very good work. Another thing to stood out to me is the quality of his drywall work. My basement has a rather peculiar texture pattern, but his guy was able to perfectly match the pattern, and his seams and taping were so clean that there's no way to tell there was ever any work done. The shower he remodeled for me turned out very well. He was even able to relocate an exhaust fan, expand the size of the shower, and the quality of the tile & grout-work came out very well. Next year I plan to use Amason All Around again to remodel my two downstairs bathrooms.

The back story is we were looking at working with this contractor on a home we wanted to purchase…read more The home was not completed so we needed him to make a bid for the completion of the project and pull permits so that we could get a loan for the house. In order to purchase the home we needed a permit to build. In order to get a permit on the home we needed an engineer's sign off since the home was not permitted in the past. It was the contractor's responsibility to get an engineer to sign off on the building so that we could get a building permit and buy the property. After months of waiting the contractor failed to get an engineer to sign off on the home, we couldn't obtain a permit, so we lost the house/funding. We had already moved all of our stuff up to WA and this rendered us houseless. Furthermore, I spoke to the engineer and it appeared he had no plans to sign the house off as safe to live in. Since we are out of towners I feel like this contractor was attempting to bully us into a payment and then throw his hands up at the last minute and say that the home would never be approved to occupy by the county. During the bid process and permitting process Jason said many times that "he did not know how to do this" or was unsure on what the county/bank was asking. I think the project we were asking him to complete was simply too big for his experience level and he realized that towards the end and that is why it seemed to be clear that he was slowly pulling out of the project but wanted payment even though he knew that this project would not move forward. We agreed to pay a $2,500 deposit to the contractor when the building permit was obtained from the county. Now that we have no permit, no house, and no contract to build, this man is trying to force us into paying the deposit on our contract. I have told him I would pay for his time since it was a long investment, but he has failed to provide an itemized invoice of the time that he spent on putting things together. I have sent several emails to him trying to work with him on this but no response. I have moved to this area with my little family, and I am scared for my life due to the threats I have received from this contractor. He has told us that, "when people fuck us around, we have options." I am not sure what options this man is referring to but it does not make me feel comfortable or safe and above all it is poor business practices. This review is just meant to be cautionary. If you intend to use this contractor for anything other than a small project please be wary. He does not have the experience for it.

We have used Remodel Masters for three jobs in our home. The first two jobs were bathroom floors,…read moreremoving tile, prepping the floors and laying LVT. The floors turned out just the way we wanted, high quality installs. They also removed counter tops in 3 bathrooms and were able to do it without disturbing the tile backsplash. We hired them to move a toilet in a basement bathroom and remove the floor and lay LVT there also. Which is where the problem starts. The toilet was moved but instead of removing the tile floor, they filled in the grout lines so they wouldn't eventually show through the LVT. That was fine with us. They laid the floor, it looks very nice but when you step on it it has a hollow sound. When Jed had me come see the finished floor, he came in the bathroom with me, talking the whole time. After I paid them, I went down to put the bathroom back together I noticed the floor was "noisy", called to my husband who concurred that the floor sounded hollow. He immediately called Jed and told him the floor was hollow sounding. Jed said they'd come back but they had a big job starting so it would be a week or two. They still have not fixed our floor. In my opinion Remodel Masters should have fixed our problem since they created it BEFORE going on to their next job. Silly me paying for work that was not right. The job was done May 9th and we're still waiting. I'm sure Jed knew we would have complaints but why he avoiding fixing his error is beyond me.
