Well, I'm sure not to many banks or credit unions get a spot on yelp, but Wright Pat Credit Union deserves a kudos. I have been a member for a quite a few years and have had several accounts, and an auto loan through them. They always have friendly staff, the bank manager is honest in everything she says and does, and offers helpful advice on avenues to take regarding loans, and keeping up on important issues. If your wanting to try out a credit union instead of a local or nationwide bank, this is the spot to start looking. read more

I have two car notes with this Bank I also have two bank cards with them up until last year I never missed a payment not even a late payment was added to my account as something was wrong I made sure to call them right away I even kept up on the accounts that I had proof that was fraudulent it still made to payments and ask them to kindly reverse the charges because of the proof I had they reverse the charges then took those charges and reverse them back to me again I have tried working with this bank and selling blue in the face it is now in the police's hands because I refuse to pay for something that I didn't do I have been a great customer for 10 years and for them to do me the way they have done is just inhumane you guys have great experience with them that's a great but they look out for those that have more money in the bank and they don't care about the low totem people on the totem pole so to speak they really truly know and I see that now and that's okay eventually this will be all turned around and once it is turned down and my car notes are taken off of there and paid in full don't mind you they convinced me of getting a insurance Mopar insurance added to my vehicle that didn't even need added to it which was another $3,000 and when I asked him to take it off they told me no so I'm paying $3,000 extra on a vehicle that didn't need to be and I only owe $2,100 left on my $30,000 card that was only worth $9,000 so I got screwed over by them and of course by Irwin Chrysler Dodge and Jeep in Troy I can't stress it enough use caution when going to certain Banks make sure you do your research read more

It is a little different that you have to leave a message and have them call you back, but I have found that the call back is timely (quick) and the person calling back is very knowledgeable. I have had a very good experience with everyone in this branch from the tellers up to client services, and investments. Everyone seems to be an expert and very capable when it comes to my questions. I am so glad I am banking with them, and recommend them highly. read more

This bank is a 5 star for services etc... but a one star for trying to get a live person to talk to!!! So annoying to not be able to speak to someone, then having to leave a message for them to call back!!. read more

Last year, I would have probably left a 5 star review, but over the past year, the customer service has gone south, the customer experience has become awful, and the wait times never have gotten better. They "upgraded" the online banking at some point last year (can't remember exactly when), and really they didn't improve it much, if at all. Not only did it not improve much, but it left many people without online access to their accounts for about a week. They then "improved" their mobile banking app, with the same outcome. My philosophy is, if it isn't broke, don't fix it. Now, the final straw, I have been paying as agreed on a payment plan to get my checking account current. My paycheck on Thursday brought it to a positave balance, 2 weeks ahead of the payment plan schedule. When I tried to draw the money out at the ATM, however, it wouldn't let me do it. I tried doing a transfer through Call 24, which by the way is awful, and after wasting 15 minutes on the phone the automated voice tells me it can't complete my request. I called them that morning and asked them why and they gave me some bs answer about how they supposedly forgot to remove the block, and they assured me the issue had been fixed. I then went to a shared branching branch and tried to draw the money out, which I have NEVER had an issue doing, and they told me my account had a hold on it and they couldn't draw any money out of it. I called Wright- Patt back up, and they told me they had fixed the issue this time and that it should work. I went to the ATM, and still had no luck. Another phone call, and it finally worked. It should not take all day and 4 phone calls to draw out MY OWN money from MY OWN account. Not only has this experience irritated me, but it has now hurt my reputation at the shared branching branch because Wright- Patt had incorrectly notated my account as having a pending closure, which should never have happened. There were other minor issues over the years, such as having to wait an average of a half hour to talk to a banker, or having to wait on hold for 20 minutes when calling with a question, but this one takes the cake. As soon as I take care of switching my direct deposits over, I'm switching banks. I'm done with Wright- Patt, and I'm telling everybody I know to avoid this place like the plague. Yes, they do have good rates and they do give their profits back to their customers but it's all smoke and mirrors if you ask me. Last year I deposited over $30,000 in to my account, but when it came time for the annual profit return or whatever they call it, I got a grand total of $1. I think all the interest I've accumulated over the past 5 years might add up to $10, if you round up. $3 a year isn't worth it to put up with crappy customer service and accounts that haven't worked half the time lately. read more
